They write a simple letter, card and/or gift known as Posty to the Pal without expecting any kind of reply. Pals siblings may also require support, it can be hard when one family member receives a lot of the attention, so we have included the name and age of our Pals brothers and sisters for you to contact if you so wish, you may also wish to enclose a note to the parents. Pals will also be organised by birthdays, age and condition in the near future and a search facility will be available. A Pal is a child who is featured on our site. A Posty is what we call the mail that is sent, whether it be in the form of an ecard, email, card, letter or present. A Posty Projects is mail that is sent out once a month by Post Pals. A Poster is the person who sends a Posty to Pals. We feel it is rather important not to dwell on the Pals illness or disability. Obviously it is important to take it into account, but cheery messages are the aim. If the Pal or a family member replies and brings up their illness then of course you are welcome to discuss it, but on a whole we ask you to just keep chat light hearted. Also please avoid phrases and cards such as 'get well soon', greetings such as 'thinking of you' are far more appropriate.
