  1. For me, the places where to go are :the champs élysées,Le louvre (for the italian renaissance section, the best one with La joconde and all the classics),le petit palais/grand palais are also good, but greedies, one of the best "shop" (but expensive) is La Durée!!! :mf_lustslow: :mf_lustslow: They make the best macaroons and they have loads of very orginal flavours like rose or fleur d'oranger (don't know how to say it in english ^^)

    I like the meal idea!:punk:

So expensiveeeeee but so goooooooooooood :D

  2. Thanks for this...but on the ibis site it said there were 49 hotels in Paris...any ideas which I should go for?

    Sorry to be a pain

Well it's really up to you, depending on if you're staying a few days or no. Bastille is a busy district and is well centered, people love it... Don't know if it's cheaper somewhere else but if you can book for the one in Bastille, it's good then

    Look on the map :

    http://www.ibishotel.com/gb/reservation/liste_hotels.shtml

the Parc Des Princes is in the south west, next to St Cloud & Boulogne Billancourt... The thing is, there is nothing around to see, that's why it's better to go to the center!

  3. The concert is sold out on Ticketnet.fr and on Fnac.com you have some left...

Tell me what you don't get here!

Ps: for the person asking about beauvais, it's fine, don't go to Brussels it's a bad idea... Once ur in Beauvais, take a coach to central Paris (1h30 journey) and it's like 13€ one way... http://www.aeroportbeauvais.com/index.php?lang=eng

For cheap accom, try youth hostel (http://www.hostelworld.com/hostels/Paris) or ibis hotels more expensive but good http://www.ibishotel.com/gb/home/index.shtml

The tube station for the Parc Des Princes is : Porte de St Cloud (Line 9) and it's in South West Paris

  4. Oki, merci pour ta réponse :)

On saura quand pour les festivals ? ^^

  5. Hum.... Grace Kelly's high point on the official top 4o in New Zealand is number 2

Leona Lewis is n°1 in New Zeland this week... I told you, massive international hits on the way :)

She entered the Swiss Charts at N°7, she is currently 4 in Denmark & Sweden

Keep hoping, he is back up to number 11 this week. That will be nearly a year in the top 30.

Yes back at 11 BUT Leona is still N°1 with huge sells, she took the 2nd spot of Mika for the best selling album of the year and she may finish N°1 ahead of Amy...Poor Mika so close...

  6. No but what a marketing machine she has behind her. Lots of people probably need her to make money for them now after all they invested LOL!!

Next year nobody will remember her??? And here in Japan nobody has EVER heard of her, but MIKA made it to the Top 5 twice with GK.

Don't worry Leona is a very local thing:blink:

For the US, next year... So she has started to get successful as well in Europe & Oceania such as Mika!

I actually like Bleeding Love, I thought it was lame at the begining but the song grew on me very fast... The album is fine, not brillant, just ok... She did write some songs on her album. But at the end I wish Mika was ahead of her because yes his music is kinda new & fresh... But Mika did have a huge promo as well...

  7. By the end of the week, Mika will have sold more than a million copies of LICM in the UK... Unfortunetly, Leona Lewis will take the 2nd spot of the Best Selling Album of 2007 (behind Amy) and Mika will be then 3rd.

  9. If you looked worldwide at how many countries MIKA was in the charts with GK, and then compared those figures with a UK based TV show X factor winner you might see a very different picture.

You obviously realise that the comparision doesn't stand here, but you make it lol.

    HAHAHA.:naughty:

You branded me someone who does not know anything about music on a previous thread because I said that 'Leona must be either a loveable person or with some very poor background / sad history that make people love her that much' and now you admit that she is from a poor family background...

I didn't brand you like this lol

What i reproached you is that, you think that we can only understand her success by things like she must be a loveable person or with a sad story or from a poor background... this is bull****, this wasn't exploited by the show, and you can not win something like the X factor because you're a lovely person...

Your point about her not being able to 'afford creating her own music' does not stand and sounds rather naive.... :mf_rosetinted: I hope you don't believe that creativity is a direct consequence of wealth. Paul Mc Cartney and John Lennon were not born in the Hamptons, for example, or in Hamptstead, whatever....

If you mean your family background and education contributes to how creative you are, that is also something that simplifies reality but is more like a point we can start discussing ...

Do you have better examples than those 40yo ones with a different society?!

Anyway, you can't access music (instruments) without money, Music is an expensive art, it's a fact!

You can have all the creativity that you want, if you can't exteriorate it, what's the point...

Your family background helps you developping ur creativity but don't create it.

How can you access music lessons, instruments without money ?!

Anyway, Mika did NOT use his or his family's money to record and promote that album... You basically cannot finance it unless you are Paris Hilton.

Recording & Promoting an album is financed by the record company.

He used his student loan to produce his demos.

Sure Leona would have had other ways to break through but I don't look down on her for choosing this way. If someone has a great voice, cannot write their own stuff and is happy to be shaped into form by someone who learned his skills from Pete Waterman, that's the best way to go. I would have done the same if I was that kind. But I am not.

I've read lots about Mika's family house in South Kensington (Posh French speaking district in London) and about his studios in the basement worth thousands ££...

To be honest with you, I have a problem with Mika's background, because he said in a French TV Show 3 weeks ago that at some point they lost everything they had when his dad was an hostage... They moved from Posh Chic 16th arrondissement of Paris to South Kensington (the London equivalent) you can't afford living there and sending ur son at the French lycée (quite expensive as well) if you don't have money, There's something missing in the puzzle.

Leona was very much involved in her album's writing... (She recorded an album before of her own songs but was not released)
