  1. yep presales are generally 20% of the total tix..(I think they can't technically go over that because they have to have tix available for public sale)

Venues have gotten cautious now and do staggered releases at times to try and beat the ebayers. And they don't always have the best tix in the presale.

So if it says sold out don't panic straight away ....more tix may come on sale ..and also don't forget to add yourself to a venues returns list ...these are first come first served, but I've got lucky a few times for 'sold out' gigs and it means you pay face value not tout prices.

  2. yeah ..I've met up loads of times for gigs etc with members of various forums ..always had a blast, and in fact have made some brilliant friends that way.

I think you get a pretty good idea about someone if you chat to them over a few weeks etc plus you are starting off with something in common ie music

But stay safe....meet first in a public place ...a pub or gig venue is ideal :thumb_yello: and if you are at all unhappy or feel uncomfortable you don't have to stay there, leave or just mingle with the rest of the crowd.

I'm a woman (er obviously:blink: ) and have been to literally 100's of gigs on my own (I average 30-40 gigs a year) and I can't remember ever having a problem of any note.

In fact people seem happy to chat and that if they see a woman on her own ..and it is a positive boon if you want to get to the front ...I've found people very rarely object to a small, solitary lady trying to get past them, especially if you are polite about it !:naughty:

  3. Milky appears in the video for Blur’s Coffee and TV, which was created by Garth Jennings for Hammer & Tongs.

I think he's kind of a funky little fellow. :thumb_yello:

Coffee and TV ..one of the best pop videos EVER ....:thumb_yello: top tune as well ...bit of a sad subject but still....it worked for him I believe!

Queen are responsible for my continuing obsession with live music.

They were the first band I ever saw live ...at the Free Trade Hall in manchester about 1974, I was 13, and the ticket cost £2.50!

And look at me now... still at it some 30+ years later!:roftl::mf_lustslow:

God bless ya Freddie, and thanks!
