After the birthday card project I've been thinking about something like a voice recording of our birthday greetings for Mika.

 

Everybody from the MFC fancying the idea of contributing an audio message could do so, the only thing you need is a mic. (a recording function should come along with each operating system I think...) If you don't have a mic, check if your mp3 player has a recording function (most of them have). Of course we would have to make it short (maybe 20 secs max for everybody) depending on how many people want to take part...

 

 

 

Okay, here's what you have to do to participate:

 

Post here that you want to be in...

then you'll get my email addy by PM.

Record your audio message and keep in mind that it must not be longer than about 20 seconds.

Don't forget to mention your ID in this forum! (You never know... )

Send your file to me (preferably as wav , I can do with other formats, too, it just means a little more work...so don't worry if sending it as wav doesn't work for you , we'll get it done )

but make sure to keep a backup copy (seriously -again: you never know )

 

I will put it all together on a CD with a nice cover and a list of the IDs of course and get it back to avoca so she can give it to Mika together with the card collection and the shirt mentioned in the official birthday present thread.

Deadline is end of June.

Great video, though! Argh I'm at work so I can watch it in a little corner of my screen (with a finger poised to cover it with real work in case the boss man walks by) but I don't have audio! Gah!!!

I do that at work as well, I have to minimise the screen if someone comes in as the entrance door is right behind me:naughty:

Well, my last week end in Tuscany has been with something magic for the whole time.

Last saturday I was in the smallest theatre of the World(99 sits), over Tuscany hills, for a concert of my fav (and for now almost unknown) band, The Actias Luna. You have to imagine a sunset over green hills, only green, blue, and medieval little houses hidden in the green. And there, harp, guitars, violin, viola, piano and drums were the "only" sound, both with the wind, the river flowing and the bird singing...

...But i have had to return to reality, on Monday. And in the Florence train station, lonely and sad (i have to leave there my boyf everytime, he's from tuscany), i sat near a metro paper dispencer waiting for an hour my train to Naples. And then, suddenly, bar radio broadcasts "Relax".

So I smiled, and thought it was better i read something. Then I took one free metro magazine...but, over there, someone has left this old "Sorrisi", from the last week ("Sorrisi and Canzoni" [smiles and Songs] is an important weekly magazine about TV programs, and it published also something about cinema, music and people). So, I took a look to it. And, while I was listening "Relax"...I had a copy of a magazine in my hand with Mika on it

Strange things happen in the world

So my day turned to smile. At midday I was in Naples, and went to work smiling again and singing "relax":biggrin2:

That's all!

I love days like that, filled with Mika incidents.

Nice to see the video on youtube.

 

It was inevitable that it would end up on there and I don't have a problem with that at all (spread the MIKA love, that’s what I say) I'm not 100% sure of the legality of it being on there which is why I asked for the file I sent not to be uploaded. MIKA has said that he reads the forum so I didn't want to be the one responsible for it being uploaded (I know other music videos have been removed from youtube at the record companies request) If someone else has decided to risk it and upload it then that is their prerogative.

 

I decided to do it via PM (which incidentally took hours as I had over 100 requests via PM and had to clear my inbox down to keep up with it) because it is much less public and would keep the video amongst MIKA's fans for the time being (until it inevitably leaked onto youtube)

 

Hope this makes sense and apologies if I upset anyone, I was just trying to do what I thought was the right thing.

If you bought the video legally through, for example, iTunes, is it still unethical to upload it onto YouTube. (It wasn't me who uploaded it, I couldn't live with myself and I am scared of going to prison:naughty: ).

Sorry but it is up to Mika to decide if he wants that video to be on youtube or not-it is on iTunes so it is officially out-if there is any problem I am sure the person who put it there will get a message if there is anything wrong about it.I dont see a difference with putting it on youtube and sending link in PM in fact the latter one is more fishy

If iTunes have made it available, then I agree with you. Someone will put it on YouTube. Thankfully it wasn't me cos I don't know how......(thank goodness)

I thought it wasn't supposed to be going on Youtube!

 

 

If you have purchased it legally then I suppose it is up to you if you want to upload it on to YouTube. Nobody will get into trouble. Well, I hope not anyway....

Exactly Jack! They all look like they are having so much fun! And a celebration of big girls too, no doubt about it (not that I have any doubts, but a lot of journalists seem to think he is taking the piss)

I have tried everything but still am unable to see the video. I will just have to wait until in appears on The Hits or YouTube.....I am very very sad. But I will hold on for just a bit longer.... :tears:
