Wish you could have changed the dates

If it had been a straightforward package tour I would probably have tried, but we buy flight only and rent our apartment separately. Plus, it has to fit in with work and my parents other hoildays. They are also going to the same place 3 weeks earlier in June, so didn't want to go twice in the same month!

Maybe we could come up with an evil plan to miss our flights !!!

Somehow, I think that our families might suss that one when we mention that there just happens to be a Mika in Amsterdam that we could go to instead!

 

I know i go on holiday on 4th too !!

Oooh MM, what part of Corfu are you going to? We have been there. The airposrt is amazing, right over the sea!

I'm going to Aghios Gorgios, I've been there an embarassing number of times (I think it's 9, or maybe 10), but the kids absolutely adore it and don't want to go anywhere else. My parents go there several times a year and we always stay in the same place, eat in the same place, have the same routine each day etc.

Mr Mika Mad can't stand it because it's so boring and repetitive, so he's not even coming with us this year, which is why we're going to Holland as well.

I would have to gone to Amsterdam at any other time because I can fly there from Cardiff. In fact, I'm probably going there anyway sometime this summer and haven't decide when yet.

They do - Mothers Day was lovely - and my Mum loved her gift!!!

Hey MM, long time no see, we missed you and your little one at Brixton, despite the craziness it was fantastic, especailly the last night.

I would loved to have been there Rose, it sounded brilliant!

Alice still talks about Mika all the time and shows her photo to anyone who'll look.

I feel a bit left out of things at the moment. It's that time of the year when I have to take a step back from the MFC and get all the RL stuff sorted. I'm working every hour I can, so Mika has to be a seasonal habit for me!

I have a sister and a brother. My other sister died of breast

cancer in 1990 - aged 28

I don't know what to say Wendi, that's so sad. It seems so unfair that 3 of you have serious health problems.

I was laughing too much to stand up properly, never mind take a photo. As Wendi said, I'd have easily got the dosh from You've been framed because it was a classic, What a missed opportunity.

One of our friends got very drunk here a few years ago and got on his bike to ride home and rode straight into the stream. (It's a very small, narrow stream that runs along the edge of the road and there's no pavement)

I've just remembered our funniest stream incident - a Jehovah's witness got his car wedged on it's side in the stream when he mis-judged the bend...........fantastic!

(apologies to any JW's, but it does make it even funnier!)

Ah ha! You remember! Actually, I'm on the vodka tonight. I only started about half an hour ago, so I've got some catching up to do.

We both had 5 - then she was let down by contraception, and when

the baby was 7 months old the father of that one did a runner with her

best mate!!

there's something about being near water. I lived in LA for a while, went to the beach all the time.

lived in Albuquerque, there was a lot of sky & mountains but no water, it drove me crazy!

I absolutley love living here. I love my house, I love the lane I live in and I love the town live in, but there's one thing I'd change if I could. -It's a long way to the sea and I'd love to be near it.

I guess RL is like that sometimes!! I have my sister and her 6 children

coming tomorrow - and they will be here from about 1pm till about 9pm!!

I will be cooking for 10 - and the noise will be awful - so not sure if I

will get on tomorrow. Depends how bad my manners are!!

I have a stream at the bottom of my garden

On the day that we moved in Mr Mika Mad was unloading some furniture from the back of my dad's pickup truck and fell into the stream. I laughed so much that I couldn't help him out and didn't realise that he had grazed his arms quite badly on the way down!

Hi Wendi.

It's nice to be here. I miss you all like mad when I haven't got time to do this. I've been busy painting every evening this week and it's really frustrating listening to the radio when I know that you're all on here and I'm not!

I'm having a night off the painting tonight and I've rushed around doing my other jobs so that I can spend a little while here before bed.

My life is all a bit too full at the moment.

This is a very quiet Friday night!

Is everyone else all at some secret Mika gig that I've missed because I've been a bad oldling and neglected the MFC recently?

Hello everyone.

I've been looking forward to Friday night in the oldlings all week, but now that it's here I'm not feeling up to it, but I couldn't resist a quick peek before bed.

I'm not ill, but I've spent the past few evenings painting some highly toxic weatherproofing undercoat onto out new (as yet unfitted) windows and I have come out in an allergic reaction.

Mr Mika Mad and Miss Mika Mad are also suffering, although Master Mika Mad seems fine. We'll be sleeping with the windows open tonight no matter how cold it is!

I won't be on tomorrow, but hope to join some of you here on Sunday.
