Abby was born in in Iceland.....no no no...not the shop
That's such thing for her to have on her passport.
My kids were both born in Abergavenny. I don't know why English people find that name funny, it sounds totally normal to me.
-
my friends nephew and niece both became parents recently and the babies are lealand and mason
oh dear!
-
I had two weeks in with my first, three days with the next two,
one day with my fourth, and the last one was born at home!!
That's a perfect illustration of how times have changed.

Indeed. Luis. A little unusual but we can't budge them on the spelling. He was 11 days late so we were getting worried. It was a c-section after several hours niggly labour and they needed forceps even then. The midwife says she'd never have delivered him normally. So, safely arrived and she can come home whenever she wants - like tomorrow. Don't things change?
NOt sure about the name. People will always assume that it's a typo!

That seems really soon for a c-section. They must be desperate for her bed!
(I managed to get out of hospital the same day as both my kids were born!)

hiya MM
hope baby and mum are doing well, congratulations to all
Hi Weealx:thumb_yello:
(sorry I forgot to say hello earlier, I get very confused by this time on a Friday night! )

Hi Wendy.
I had a lovely evening with Tia.
Kath- Tia wasn't in Italy, you're not going mad, but we were talking about her fear of flying, which led to me talking about when I went to Italy etc
-
Open mouth with straight hair?
One of my all time favourites -perfect Friday night material!
-
Hey MM, nice to see you.
Tia is well then, that's good.
She's really into 30STM at the moment isn't she?
I get lots of bulletins from her about it on myspace.
Write to her when I can, be nice to see her again.
Yeh, she's fine. I can't believe that she's betrayed Mika!
She told me that she keeps in contact with you even though she hardly ever comes on the MFC anymore.
-
Oh, btw, do you remember the contest between MFC becoming official and my niece's baby being born?
Well he arrived this afternoon. So it's about time we got word about officialdom!
Ooh, a baby being born, that's a nice piece of news to cheer up a cold wet night. What have they called him?
-
Hi MM! No, nothing bad....I had just driven up from York in the morning then been at work in the afternoon...was in bed by 9 30 but only slept till one and couldn't get back to sleep.
Good to see you
That sounds grim!
I enjoyed talking to Tia this evening -it gave me an excuse to re-live the Italy trip in my mind:biggrin2:
(only the good bits, not the bad!)
-
That is so nice How has your week been ?
Exhausting!
How was yours?
-
Well THAT's not looking great. Unless you like continental festivals!
I'm optimistic that something else will crop up.
I couldn't take the kids to a festival overseas -way too scary!
-
Hi MM. I think it's great that you and Tia keep in touch and your daughters are good friends. How are you?
Hi Ruth.
I'm fine thanks, a bit more tired than usual due to a very busy week at work, but apart from that ok. HOw are you?
-
I am knackered tonight having had a dreadful night last night so I won't be around for long I am afraid
Hi Kath.
I hope that a good night's sleep tonight sorts you out.
Did you just sleep badly last night or did something bad happen? (sorry I haven't read back through more than 2 or 3 pages)

Hello !!!! It was manic earlier !!! How are you How was Tia ??
Hi Vicky.
It was lovely to see Tia. We hadn't met since Mika in Birmingham in November, so we had loads to talk about. We are hoping that Mika is going to do something this summer that we can take both our daughters to.

I really don't know why I started posting in the Oldlings thread! I hardly ever posted in here before part 16 but now I'm always here
I think that it does us good to have a bit of young blood in here. It stops us talking about the weather, knitting and bunions all the time.
-
this is getting so popular, we may have to start carding people at the door!
An id card for oldlings -can't we just show our wrinkles or grey hairs instead?
-
Good evening oldlings and honorary oldlings.
(It looks so quiet in here tonight that if the honorary ones weren't here the thread would be almost dead!)
I've just spent the afternonn and early evening with a real life oldling -Tia!
It was great to see her and our daughters had a lovely time together.
-
Missing you too, how's your cute kids
Still cute and gorgeous, thanks Vicky, but after having them with me 24/7 for the past 2 weeks and having to take them to work with me every day, I'm really glad that they're back in school on Tuesday!
-
And lose our reputation for the most welcoming and friendliest
thread on the forum
:roftl:
As if we would! We are the safe haven of peace and love in the MFC.
.......and with that, I'm off to read my new book in bed.
Night night everyone.
Sweet Dreams,
MM

I appreciate that - thats why we always ask - if someone wants
their full name then they will get it - but it gets so hectic in here,
especially on a Friday and Saturday night that we tend to shorten things.
Most of the folks who have been here for a while don't mind it - but
would not do it if it bothered the person!!
Nah, we just wouldn't talk to them!
-
not so smart...it's italian too, 'acronimi'!
that makes me feel a lot better:naughty:
Night night Robi,
MM

What did they do, tie you to the bed? I just said I was perfectly ok and going home.
(looking back, they probably thought that I was going to be trouble and were glad to get rid of me! )
