Oh thats a shame! Anyway you have the pics and videos to look forward to!!

Do you know if they will be broadcasting the highlights/the festival on TV/Satellite ?? Its no consolation, but its something though, esp. if its live!

I have 2 spare tickets for Brixton 02/12/07- if anyone's interested...Pm me: Cheers!

Ha!
I think he does it on purpose- its fun anyhow. Perhaps its a way of finding out whether we are really listening to him

Hehe...so much for playback...
Did anyone notice how in Love Today he seems to sing "give her a dollar and she'll make you fly" rather than the *recorded* "she'll make you smile"?
02:27 on the above link
I know it's a different performance to the questioned one, but I am sure that the same principles apply...
In lille he also said tart instead of tight i.e. little tart, like to tease for fun:roftl:

About the playback:
I don't know for sure- but I doubt it very much- I'd be very surprised if he did...
-
sariflor, I just read your comment and now understand what is meant by "playback"..
You're right, these guys (article authors) ovbiously haven't a clue what they are talking about- that was Mika singing. You can't dispute that. It wasn't "playback".
A fact is a fact...
-
I think he's saying" i love you more , i love you more" I think it makes sense i guess.
Oh yes...so it does...
-
Thanks for that "Miks lil finga"- I can now sing along to the verse as well as the chorus
Most addictive I think!!
What does he say at the end though (do you know) when he repeats I think?? I'm not alone or you're not alone...???

Thanks:thumb_yello:

Its come around so quickly!!I'm taking my daughter- so I'm really excited for her...
-
Sou, as soon as I saw that Dubai was on the horizon for Mika I thought of you- and wayhay you're going!! I'm really happy you're going to get to see him live (as long as it doesn't get cancelled that is! )
-
He, he. he!! Thats ok, you're allowed to get excited....
Its a good song...but it just didn't top my expectations from when I first heard it and the context that I had perceived it in...it could have been greater.

MFC- Hello Akim it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?
Akim: Ok then.
Well I'm going to reserve judgement once I have seen the video myself, hopefully tomorrow (Thursday 20th September). I must say here that not all responses have been positive and I'm left wondering why an "announcement" to say there has been a "positive response" is needed if indeed there has been...?

Well done!! Professional, informative and really "delicious" to read...
-
Well, I think it was always planned to have this time time off anyway...well earned no doubt.

i think love today and sweet dreams were the same as always, anyway i didn't see/hear a difference. you're right of course that they play a lot of house music in ibiza clubs. but i think the only thing that was related to this at the concert, was him doing "you got the love". after all, the ibiza rocks festival wants to oppose a bit to the house music, by bringing rock music to ibiza, so the festival wasn't aimed at the typical ibiza dance/house music crowd.
Thanks for the reply.
I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at Somerset House when Mika did his cover of You've Got The Love- have you seen it? Would you say it was the same? Also you have a long after-lude usually, in Love Today (Bin Banging!!) which, to me, makes me think of dance music was that the case at Ibiza? Sorry for the all the questions- but I don't think I will ever go to Ibiza, I just wanted to know if Mika's performance had lived up to expectations...Thanks!

Its a beautiful jacket...

I remember thinking at previous shows that his Love Today and cover of Sweet Dreams were evolving in a way that would suggest he was preparing for an audience such as one typical of Ibiza.
not sure what you mean by preparing for a typical ibiza audience?
Hi there,
I should have said a dance/techno genre (?) of music...having never experienced Ibiza I was going by TV reports and videos of the kind of music that is played in Ibiza clubs etc...I realise that I am stereo typing, so apologies for that- what I really mean is the dance scene as opposed to pop/rock.
Hope that explains it?
