From this article, and the comments there, I get the impression mika does not particulary like having his picture taken by the media, but has no problem with meeting people who care about his music, and that the picture might mean something to them...if ya get me?

Yeah that's pretty much exactly what I said. MIKA can tell whether you are a real fan or if you're just posing for the cameras. Who can blame him for not wanting to smile and wave just because some blogger (who doesn't even like him!) wants him to.

hedwig is one of my fave films ever and I've a very deep bond with it. jcm is a genius, as well as a lovely and very kind person.

 

the stage show is absoloutely excellent as well and I strongly recommend everyone to get to see a rendition of it by whatever decent cast, if ya have the chance. it's VERY much worth it.

Ugh, the show was in Portland and I MISSED it!!

I really don't understand why she's not more famous...she's so much funnier than so many of the "comedians" out there.

i'm not a fan of a model, let alone an underwear model, i'm a fan of a fantastic singer with an amazing personality. I hope he doesn't go to far with this, assuming that it's true in the first place...

My thoughts exactly. I know he did that modelling this way back when he was first getting famous, I hope that's what they're referring to.

YAY!!! I'm so glad there are some fellow Hedwig freaks among us!! I sooooooo wanted to meet JCM when he came to town to promote the Wig In a Box benefit CD but I didn't hear about it in time...grrrrr, my friend went and met him, lucky bugger.

Anyone love this musical as much as I do?? I can't get enough of the soundtrack, it's so well done and the story is amazing!

John Cameron Mitchell is a genius, I also love his film ShortBus.

-People who talk, continuously and at full volume in the movie theater...but I'm always too chicken to tell them to shut up so I sit there, loathing them the whole time.

-People with big cars who think they own the road

-Smoking sections (seriously, do they think the smoke knows there's a sign there?)

-Crocs

-People who say things like "I'm not homophobic, it just grosses me out to see two guys kissing!" (uh...that IS homophobia my dear)
