  1. On the album it's really "bore", plus the North American album cover clearly states "bore".

However, on his live performances of lollipop posted on youtube, he says "whore" and does this naughty face... and he even changes "jesus loves her but she wants more" for "she's a sl*t and..."... he's really playful... but i doubt he'd do it in an American concert, he's too family-friendly!

  2. Clearly they're making him look older and "more mature" in the official photographs, because they reckon that's going to increase his mainstream credibility.

I think the main point isn't so much that he *looks* different in Grace Kelly, but that, apart from all the lighting effects, he's giving off a different vibe. In his interviews and public performances he's very kid-like, but sometimes when he performs he gets more serious and focused, he's got this different "persona". I think that's a conscious choice, since he says he was involved in almost every aspect of the making of the video, and he thought that that attitude would be the ideal manner in which to channel the feeling of the song.

Most people have a different vibe in their performance than in real life.

He's hot either way, mind. :)

  3. The second review is well-written, but the first... I'm so bothered by the superficiality of critics. What they see first is bubblegum, and they say : "it's candy, it's airy, it's sweet nothing"; so many of them don't get it.

But who cares? Everyone else does!

  4. Hi, I'm new and very excited about Mika, I've never had such a strong musical crush! Now, I'm enthousiastically promoting him to all my friends. It works wonderfully.

I first heard about him from Perez, then saw him on the Quebec version of MTV (Musique Plus). I'm in love with his Grace Kelly, and going to see his show March 19th in Montreal @ Club Soda... Any other Montrealers here?
