Phone number I only saw space to leave name, e-mail, country and postcode.....did I miss something vitally important??

Quiet tonight....

I can completely relate to this.This is how it goes for me:

Before the first concert of the tour I decide that I'm goint to take it easy this time, not go crazy reading all the reports,you know, go on with normal life. Of course all this plans go down instantly as the first "OMG this was the best concert of my life!!!" report shows up. It's all downhill from there:insane:

From that moment on, I start religiously reading every single page of every single thread about every single gig of said tour.But it's not all peaches and cream because if I commit the crime of leaving the computer for an hour, by the time I get back 45 pages have been added.I decide to skip all of them and just read the last one, and of course the first post of the page says something like "wow, that was the best report I've ever read", and of course I have to go back the 45 pages and read all of them, only to realise that the actual report starts at page 44.This happens for the first two gigs, by the third one I don't know wich report I'm reading and for which gig.

20 gigs later and only 10 hours of sleep total, the tour ends and I'm actually relieved, I remember I have a job and I promise next time I'm going to take it easy, of course.

And after cancelling my order beacuse it violated rights, they honoured an order placed by Sara....there's nothing like consistency, and this is nothing like consistency!!

There's one small falw in my plan.... I haven't actually got a chicket!! I'm just trying to keep positive so that the vibes reach them and I win and I get the time off and can find someone to look after the dogs.....

OOOOOH Sara, I love the pics! The T shirt is definitely better than the bag. I tried to make the design as big as possible, but that was it, otherwise the "why not" got cut off. Still the T shirt is the main thing, and it looks great, thanks for the close ups. I can't wait till mine gets here.

 

By the way:

 

Zazzle has now kindly informed me that I was infringing Mika's right to celebrity/publicity and removed the designs. I have argued with them, but I doubt they will budge. I aksed them

a) if we list it privately is it OK?

b) if we take out MIKA @ is it OK?

c) if we are going to seek Mika's permission (which they said they would need to run the design)....OK I know we may never get it, but I was just asking... what would we need to do to satisfy their rules? Get a letter from MIKA? Signed by him? A letter from his record company. (For goodness sake, how would they ever be able to verify that something was really from a celebrity anyway???)

 

I also tried to argue with them about the definition of "celebrity". Does it mean you have appeared in a couple of magazines? Is it ALL musicians, regardless of their level of fame? Is it because you have a CD released by a famous label? What about the fact someone may be a celeb in one country but never heard of in another? What if I am a celebrity here in Japan, and someone puts my name on a T shirt? (what? you didn't know I am a celebrity??) If I have the right to celebrity in my own name, then likewise so does every other MIKA on the planet.

 

How do they know we were talking about our MIKA and not some other person called MIKA?

 

Sorry this is an endless circuitous argument. I know. They removed the designs. We may not need them again, but I would just like to WIN THIS BATTLE.

thank you! we have the day off (some people took yesterday to have a long weekend though) there is concerts everywhere, parties, food and the night ends with fireworks in most cities. the biggest party is of course in ottawa, our capital.

as for my family, we tend to stay away from the crowd. today we stayed outside by the pool, played music & later tonight we'll make a camp fire.

as for the fireworks, we see them from my backyard

Sounds like fun!! I hope you had a great time. Is your puppy al right with fireworks? One of our dogs hates them and goes and hides at the slightest noise
