  1. Just had to click on the link in my signature to see us giving him the trousers!! Really glad I popped on here tonight, good times. Blue, if you are there, if you want to arrange for some of us to meet when you're over, pm me with dates etc. Would be so good to see you again.

Bye all, will try to come back on soon.

  2. It's a 2-day ride at the Borders, on a local horse! I'm flying to and from Edinburgh so we could meet up there! The competition is over the weekend and I will stay for a few days more, until Thursday or Friday (have to book my flight next week).

Let us have the dates, sure we can arrange a meet up.:thumb_yello:

And promise not to have too much to drink and lie in bed all day again!!

  3. Hi, we haven't met yet. good to see you.

Hello!! I'm a real 'oldie'. Good to see so many oldlings around, have popped in a few times and see lots of new names. In the old days, there was only a few of us.

Yes, Vicky, that's me in the trousers!!! :naughty: I was mortified that my waist and hips were the same as Mika's!!!

  4. The City Road one, close to St Pancras. I sent my London contacts an e-mail yesterday, also Jemma and Babs. I don't have your e-mail addy but it's good to know that you might come to London! I'll sent you my mobile number by PM, just in case!

Blue!!! Hiya!!! It's been so long since I've been here, how is everyone?

  5. :yay: One of the Trouser gang!!!! Hi Christine - how are you - do

you remember this time last year? :wink2:

I thought it was the twenty-something-th of May so I was a bit out. Looking at the clock - we had our places at the front and were waiting with bated breath!!!

  6. yes and i mean it...can you technically xplain me why you dont like lollipop or why you call it cheesy, can you?

I love lollipop! Never said I didn't like it, I have sung my heart out to that song at 3 gigs.

But it IS cheesy. But as someone else said, this thread isn't actually about defining cheesiness.

  7. im addicted to music first, before being addicted to mika and erase for instance IS actually more than cheesy, my interpretation and in any other world are cheesy too but for some reasons in any other world is very good live and my interpretation is somehow good BUT LOLLIPOP is anything but cheesy, lollipop is perfect, lollipop is the PERFECT POWER POP SONG, people who really like and know music just KNOW that. no one ever told me this song were cheesy , never, and it never crossed my mind it was. this IS perfection.

    we'll agree to disagree then.

to me, my interpretation is the opposite of cheesy, just a very, very good song.

you said, 'lollipop is the perfect power pop song. People who really like and know music just KNOW that".

I guess I don't really like and know music then. :mf_rosetinted:

  8. Cheese, I grant you, but even I have to say that Mika has more talent, originality and personality than all of Boyzone and Westlife put together.

    without question

Ronan should never have returned to the fold. Not a fan, but slightly more credibility on his own.

but they are both cheesey (cheesy?)

  9. I've come out of retirement just to post on this thread!!

This is hysterical! :roftl: We don't know the entire story, but he was so uncomfortable in that interview that there was obviously an issue there.

I don't expect anyone here to agree (as you shouldn't, being mika-addicts) but Mika is not that far removed from Boyzone in the cheese stakes. Big Girl???! Lollipop??!!! Obviously you lot don't think so, but generally he is perceived as a cheese ball. Trust me.

I'm not a Boyzone fan, and I know they don't write their own songs, but neither do a lot of people - Kylie, Elton, Cliff (:naughty: :naughty: ). They are who they are and they have a big fan base.

  10. Is that true?

I can believe it actually. I felt superhuman the day that I gave birth. It was weird really because I'm not usually very confident, but after each birth I felt like I could take on the world/run a marathon/fly.

HELLO GITB!!! Lovely to see you!!!!!!!!:thumb_yello:

Hi MM, Wendi, Ruth and Kath and lots of other people I've never spoken to before! Not on long...trying to book tickets for Duran Duran..

Damn, I missed the childbirth stories!

  11. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    where is GITB???

i want her on her knees now!

    :naughty: :naughty:

    I don't know!!! I can't decide!!! :roftl:

Will have to leave it there, husband home and must go. Really nice to see you all again, Wendi, sorry so short.

I feel like I have to let everyone know that I AM still a Mika fan!!!! Despite these posts! But you know I've always had a SLIGHT problem in THAT area. Ronson, on the other hand, looks like he could rise easily to the challenge!! :naughty: On that note I'll leave you lovely ladies til next time!

  12. He's very ordinary though isn't he GITB? Mark I mean not MIKA

Nooo!!!!! He has messy hair, and a big nose (sorry, don't know why that's appealing, the Jewish look? it just IS!!), big lips and talks like he can't be bothered.....and he's just too cool for school.

It's not Friday and Deb is here to give me into trouble, so I can't say the classic Oldling line involving the bed and the floor but you know what I mean.

  13. I just checked and according the Brit Awards site Mark Ronson won

    British Male Solo Artist.

What's so solo about what he does?

I mean, I do love his work, but I don't think he deserved the award over

Mika... and yes, I am a bit biased. :naughty:

    dcdeb

Err.....he twiddles the knobs on the big mixing desk on his own???

    Ooh! Friday night innuendoes!!!
