MIKA was on typically flamboyant form when he dropped by my studio to chat about his triumph at the Brits in the Bizarre podcast this week.

As well as revealing the contents of his goodie bag, the Lebanese singer chatted about his joy at finding out horror writer STEPHEN KING was a fan of his music.

Bulked up R&B star CRAIG DAVID also popped to spin some tunes, including new single 6 Of 1 Thing and Brummie newcomers ENVY AND OTHER SINS performed a live session.

The four piece - who bagged a £1m deal with Universal records last year after winning the national mobileAct competition - also recalled an interesting gig in a fetish shop.

  2. Poor thing, it didn't go well. He&his skating partner had their outfits designs based on the cover of LiCM. The lights on the ice ring also resembled the cover. It certainly looked colorful. Press the play button under the pic

    Tim's time is up

    Published: Sunday, 10 February 2008, 8:20PM

nother five out of five saves for skate-off veteran Steve meant that tonight Tim Vincent said 'goodbye' to his celeb skater chums, and hung up his blades for the last time.

Looking resplendent in a multicoloured costume, Tim and his partner were first out onto the ice, and put in a brave and energetic second performance to Mika’s Love Today.

But after a near perfect routine, it was Tim’s failure to pull off the required element spin that cost him the competition and spelt victory for his celeb chum Steve - giving the ex-javelin thrower his third skate off scoop in a row.

A disappointed Tim waved to his fans and supporters in the audience after he received the bad news, and told Phil and Holly he was sad to go: "Every week has been exciting and a real privilege. All of us have enjoyed it so much.”

Then he took to the ice for the final time and gave a lap of honour with the lovely Victoria.
