  1. you think you could bring me a little bit of sand from some of those beautiful beaches? :biggrin2: not much, maybe as much as 2 pieces of sugar from each... but i collect sand from beaches all over the world, and if you're saying that yours are so beautiful, i'd love to see/have a little bit of it! :bleh:

Haha alrighty! I'd love to :wink2: That's really cool that you collect sand. Its like taking parts of the world with you haha.

  2.

Be prepared, though, mellody; I went to southern California for the first time in March 2007, and I got totally, utterly addicted. Santa Monica, one of LA's beachy areas, is probably in my top three favourite places in the world. This upcoming trip will be my eighth trip to LA since March 2007. :blush-anim-cl:

*rubs hands together like a mad scientist* Hehehehe, that's just our plan to make you move here so that you're closer to us :das::teehee:

Mana, one day, you must come down to my area. I am very convinced that you will fall in love with it also. They are quite seriously the most beautiful beaches. And Laguna Beach is such a cute, quaint town that still has nightlife (and day-life too).

Maybe once I'm older, and if you guys save up money, I can rent you and Andrew a cottage by the beach in Laguna Beach :naughty:

All of MFC should come down... or at least, the Californians haha.

Once I have my own place, you all must come down! :bleh:

  3. I was just re-browing my October issue of teen vogue when I found an article.

It says, " THE COMEBACK KIDS Pop phenoms Mika and Sean Kingston have been on hiatus since releasing their chart-topping debuts in 2007, but now they return in full force. London-by-way-of-lebanon-based mika brings more show-tune-inspired tracks on The Boy Who Knew Too Much," *Goes on about sean kingston* "Be sure to catch them on tour this fall." - Lindsay Talbot.

    :thumb_yello:

Fantastic! Is there a picture? :wink2:

    T4Posting!

  4. aw the wembley gig was so much fun. i went with my friend and we decided to try and queue early and GOSH was it worth it! front row, baby! front row at the wembley stadium, it's crazy!

before coldplay we got three warm up acts - white lies (they were quite good), girls aloud (gee-zus! they were so horrible & annoying, looking like a bad highschool talent show, but bless their hearts) and jay-z (whom i actually enjoyed, even though it's not the kind of music i usually listen to, but he got us bouncing).

before jay-z i really needed to go and pee, cause i knew i better go before jay-z, so there's enough time for me to come back to the spot i've been standing. boy, was i happy to have so much time to get myself back to the first row, cause people won't let me push through back to my spot, which is understandable, they can't know i've been up on my feet for hours, but i literally almost started crying, when coming back from the bathroom i realized it won't be that easy to get back, as everyone was telling me to stay where i was and not letting me through. thank god i managed with gazillion "sorry! excuse me! and thank yous"

so the gig was fantastic. wasn't the best sound, but it might be because i was standing so close. but it was so amazing, i'm not gonna go into details, but they know what they're doing. oh and i managed to catch will's drum stick! yay for me!

I went to see them on Saturday ... they were utterly amazing .... probably one of the best bands I have ever seen live ... and I've seen alot ..... I shook Chris Martins hand when they came off stage to go to the little stage at the back of the stadium ... I shook two others hands as well ... but embarrassingly .... I don't know their names :blush-anim-cl:

I just like their music :wub2:

 Oh my gosh! Haha, you guys have the luckiest Coldplay experiences I've heard!! That's amazing, front row at wembley stadium. And shakin' their hands. That sounds magnificent! *is jealous*

I'm glad you guys had a nice time!

  5. Hey guys! How are you likin' the new layout? :naughty:

I have some news: I ain't going to the gig.

I know, its crazy. I'm going to miss out on that moment so much.

To be honest, I'm not such a big fan as I once was, and I don't feel as terribly sad as my old self would have.

I'm taking the opportunity to go see another gig; I've been to many Mika gigs before, and I just kind of feel like I should miss out on this one. I don't know, it just feels right to me.

I'm going to go with my two best friends to a gig of "The Swell Season". It's not jumpy, crazy pop music, its actually kind of the opposite haha.

You see, they're two actors from an amazing movie called "Once" who have their own band, and basically, we fell in love with the music. Its more just a mellow, 'get in touch with yourself' kind of gig.

I still love Mika insanely much! I always will.

But I'm just not going to this one, but the next one for sure haha. And maybe when he's on Ellen too!

I love you all so much, there's always a spot in my heart reserved for MFC and Mika.

I hope you guys are all having a great time in your lives haha, I miss you all! I honestly think I might miss you guys more than the idea of seeing Mika... maybe. Haha no, I really do think so.

:huglove::wub2: I gotsta go to do some howeworks! I love you all!

    Goodnight! :huglove: :grouphug:

  6. I am actually starting to really like Lady Gaga. She's a great entertainer and she has a pretty good voice.

I like her. She's very unique; I like that there's someone different in mainstream music now. And I like how she's bisexual and open to it and is so into her crazy fashions; she's a very interesting person and I like her now.

I did like her music, but I didn't really know much about her and had only heard one of her songs.

  7. Just wanted to bump this because I friggen love The Swell Season. I've seen Glen and Marketa at Radio City once, and I've seen Glen alone at a little pub in NYC. I'm seeing them again on Sept. 14th at a really small venue, but I love those intimate little shows. It makes you connect more with the music.

Their new album "Strict Joy" is fantastic from what they've shown so far. You can download "In These Arms" and "Low Rising" on iTunes right now. Or, you can legally download them, as the band has given permission, here:

    and here:

Check it out! Glen is one of the most passionate musicians that I've ever seen. Ever. When I am forced to use two evers, you know it's gotta be good.

That's awesome! They must be so powerful live...

I do really love intimate venues too. Oooh, fantastic! Thanks for the link :thumb_yello:

I'm glad you like em! I hope other people get into them too from this thread.

They're coming to my area in November so I'm going to try to go to the gig!

  8. :lol3: No, they don't.

A Message keeps playing in my head today, but really only the opening bit of "My song is love..". I shouldn't complain..

   ... Me too!

Well, not today haha. But I always repeat to myself that first line, "My song is love"... and then sometimes keep on singing it haha.

But yes, you should not complain :mf_rosetinted:

  9. Thank you! It took slaving away for hours and getting screamed at by my family while doing it, but I love how it turned out. YAY Coldplay!

    You are welcome!

:naughty: It does look fantastic and worth being yelled at. Family just doesn't understand obsessions, and just how important siggies are, pfft.

Welcome Izzie! Its nice to have you join the Coldplay shenanigan :P

  10. That is one of the BEST things about musicians . . . all THAT passion! :das:

IF I EVER HEARD MIKA SING HALLELUJAH . . . I think that would send me over the edge! Heck for that matter . . if Meeks did a cover of ANY RuRu's songs same reaction! :roftl:

. . . just a little bit. He is the air that I breathe - the blood running through my veins . . . therefore without him, I would cease to exist! :aah:

I totally agree hahaha. :das: Passion :das:

I would love to see how Mika changes up a cover of Rufus' songs. It would be fantastic...

    :lol3:

  11. I don't like any of Jeff Buckley's music :roftl: Hallelujah is JUST a BEAUTIFUL song (no matter WHO sings it) DID you see America's got talent when Mia sang it last week? Talk about taking a song and making it your own! She did that BETTER then anyone ever has on American Idol . . . AT FIRST I was all hell no she isn't singing hallelujah (cause I am REALLY possessive over *what is to ME - a Rufus song*) :freak: But, then I got chills . . . and I was like YOU GO MIA! :punk:

I SO totally 'get' what you mean by he feels alot through the guitar playing - cause if you ever see Rufus LIVE . . OMFG him and that piano is enough to send yu straight out of the venue on a :stretcher:

ME . . . passionate - YOU have no idea! :teehee:

    :lol3:

That is very true. Every artist has their own way of feeling the music, either through their voice or through piano or guitar or accordion or harmonica or whatever the heck they're playing.

No, I didn't see that! I will look it up though. It seems that so many musicians do covers of Hallelujah. I'd love to see Mika do an interpretation one day :naughty:

Hahahah, okay maybe passion is an understatement :teehee:
