  1. this has nothing to do with mika and his age but that 34 year old man is HOT!!!!! i LOVE gerard butler he's an amazing actor and of course he's gorgeous :mf_lustslow: but he's nothing compared to mika :wub2: :wub2:

Wow!!! I really found someone who kinda shares my obsession about POTO? It's great!!! :thumb_yello:

Anyway, I'm sorry, you are right, Gerry and POTO has nothing to do with Mika. I'm off-topic. (Not again!)

But I agree, Gerry is hot and amazing, but he's a totally different age-group and style, can't be compared to Mika.

And Mika is the first for me too!

(and the second and the third :wub2: )

  2. i hate it when the press gets the information wrong.. like on the tba gig when they said he had a 5 octave vocal range:bleh: it's only a little over 3

i think it's really going to work out between mika and i.. i mean he's only 9 years older than me:wub2:

"Only" a little over 3, huh?

LOL, I guess lots of other singers and performers would kill without a thought for his voice!

Anyway, based on my age, it could work! How about me, I'm 2 years younger than Mika! :bleh::blush-anim-cl:

....Jesus!!! Did I say that? No, I have a sweet boyfriend who I love, very clearly I didn't say that!

  3. He got a year younger at some point :yay: When I first heard of him, he was 24 :mf_rosetinted:

LOL, I know that press can do this weird thing sometimes.

It can be really confusing.

I guess it's due to some mistakes in newspapers, or to some ignorant journalists who don't care and are too lazy to find out the real age, or to some old interviews that they broadcast months or years later... Anyway, it's irritating.

For example something very confusing happened to me.

I am a great Phantom of the Opera fan, and when they made a movie version of the musical, I saw an interview about the cast. And the interviewer went like: "...and the star, Emmy Rossum, only 16, got the part and started filming 2 years ago."

And I was like: "Oh, my God, does it mean that she auditioned for Andrew Lloyd Webber himself and got the main part at the age of 14 :boxed: ???" (Phantom was played by a 34-year-old man!!!)

...Of course I soon realized that the interviewer only messed up facts, because the actress was 16 when she got the role, the filming started a bit later, and then she was 18.

  4. He was probably tired and nervous, I mean there is no doubt that he knows the song inside out by now, LOL, and this sort of thing is bound to happen to anyone (...)

The way he handles it though says a lot about his skill and professionalism!! QUOTE]

    I just absolutely agree!

He looked way too hot :wub2: , he sounded amazing :thumb_yello: , his dance and his performance was totally entertaining... yes, messing up the lyrics can happen to anyone, it's not such a mortal sin or a tragedy!

And he really did handle it in the best possible way!

And I think too that he was a bit tired.

Most recently he is getting a bit tired in my opinion. I mean last time Billy Brown's lyrics was wrong, now Love Today, but you just have to look at his face: sweet, handsome, adoreable... and tired to death. I guess it's due to his long, exhausting tour. Maybe he should really take a rest.

But I stop right now, because if he really reads the forum, and he happens to read this post of mine, I don't want him to be like: "Oh, Gosh, they realized it!", and become less self-confident. :naughty:

  5. I...hate...Perez.

I don't think Perez is that bad.

I have to admit that I have never heard of him before I joined this forum, but his posts about Mika are entertaining.

I mean you just don't have to take him too serious :bleh: He is entertaining, funny, naughty, having a way too loose tongue... but he isn't pervy at all.

  6. i actually think the freud/Mika/glowstick-theory makes sense. :naughty:

    freud himself is weird.

LOL, it's ok, I get it now! :bleh:

Anyway, I like this thread. It's really funny.

I know my post was way too off-topic and maybe weird, but all the others' posts made me LOL! :roftl:

...funny enough, but somehow I never thought of that glowstick-thing in this aspect before realizing this thread. I mean of course I saw the video lots of times, I love it, and usually my mind is not so innocent and naive, but here you go... I never thought of it before! :blush-anim-cl:

  7. Eh, I'm sure Mika wouldn't do so. Never.

However, I don't really agree with the statement that he is so very innocent. I mean of course I can't know since I don't know him personally, but in his age people usuaslly aren't that innocent. I don't mean any murder or fatal sins, but Mika is quite a grown-up, (maybe very) experienced big boy.

    Innocent-looking, childish-looking, sweet? ... I totally agree.

But totally innocent? ... Eh, don't think so. But I can express myself in another way too: I hope not!

But I find him a very bright and intelligent boy, who is very careful with press, and very protective about his private life. I'm sure he has his interests and wishes and needs according to his age, and it's absolutely normal and healthy, but having that sort of fun backstage with a fan, with a complete stranger, it would be too distasteful, austere and heartless. Mika is not like that.

  8. I love Over My Shoulder and Any Other World very much. Not that I don't like any of Mika's songs, but these are somehow special and different. I guess I couldn't explain what I feel when listening to them, but I agree with all of your posts, and I think these songs are really special masterpieces.

I think it's the too much beauty and perfection that makes me cry when I hear them.

And don't get me wrong, but I read very often on the forum that everybody cries this or that time, but this is the thread where I really have to believe everyone.

    Oh, and one more thing:

Last time I was travelling by train with my boyfriend. The journey was very long, and my boyfriend was very bored, so though he doesn't like Mika, he agreed that I show him Mika's songs. All his songs, because I had them all with me on my ipod.

So he, who doesn't like Mika at all, after listening to all of his songs mentioned 2 songs that were very impressive in his opinion. Now guess! Yes, it was Over My Shoulder and Any Other World. He said that they sounded extremely beautiful and sad.

  9. i recently read freud's biography and stuff. it really makes sense!:biggrin2:

Do you mean our little naughty observation makes sense? :bleh:

Or you mean Freud makes sense?

Yep, I hope you don't mean Freud.

Sorry, this is going to be a bit off-topic.

I'm not an expert, but in my own personal opinion Freud doesn't make too much sense. Human beings are way too complicated to think that every feeling, every thought, every act, and the whole fate is based on and determined by sex. Of couse it is a very-very important thing, but only one aspect of human life. It can make a big effect on several other things, it can couse frustration, blah, blah... but this is really only one aspect of human life.

Freud was lucky enough to live in a period when nobody dared to talk about things like this because it was a big taboo, so when he came, he sounded extremely new, fresh, and unexpected.

But nowadays we know very well that in the most cases psychoanalysis doesn't help anyone, but make the situation even much worse and complicated, if it is possible at all.

Sorry if I hurt anyone, I say again that I'm not an expert, I'm just interested in a lot of random things, and I happen to know a few very bright people (university professors, teachers, etc.) who I love to chat with about interesting subjects.

And of course even if Freud wasn't right, he was an important part of improving our knowledge about the human mind and soul, making a huge effect on literature and science.

Sorry again for being so off-topic.

  10. I don't want to think that Billy Brown is a real, exact person in the reality.

Just like I don't want to think like that about Lollipop Girl, Holly Johnny, or Big Girl either.

I believe that these songs aren't about some exact persons, but about Mika's feelings and opinions concerning several aspects or problems of life. They are sometimes funny, sometimes deep, but always thought-provoking. I guess it's simply his own interpretation in his own point of view. His own, private Alice in Wonderworld. Hyper-reality, LOL.

  11. 1st: I'm grown up enough to know I shouldn't believe everything that I read in magazines, especially when the author doesn't dare to recover his/her name.

2nd: I find Mika a bright and intelligent boy, so if he really did so, I'm sure he had his reason for it.

3rd: He wasn't himself during that gig? Come on! His work is very-very hard, difficult and complicated, even if for us it seems a bed of roses. I mean he is becoming more and more famous and popular and appreciated. People know what to expect from his amazing gigs.

And if he has the worst head-ache, if he just had a bad agrument with his best friend, if he had just been refused by someone who he wanted to date, if her sister is ill and sick... he has to be the same adoreable, funny, crazy party-boy singing Lollipop, and he can't show his problems. Because his fans having a ticket for a day like that of course don't deserve less.

...What if that very gig was on a hard day for Mika?

  12. My-Kah is OK, but i can't figure y some ppl would pronounce "Mica" as "mischa"

I don't want to sound like someone silly, it's just a random thought:

For me "mischa" sounds so Russian. I think there's a Russian name "Misha", or something like that... Though I seriously doubt that people thought he was Russian, or he met so many Russian people pronouncing his name wrong that he made up his mind to change the spelling... Ha-ha-ha...:roftl:

Anyway, does this post of mine make any sense  ?

  13. No, neither I pronounced or thought it was "Mykah" or "Misha".

But, to be honest, I have never heard this name before, so my good pronunciation was only due to a lucky coincidence. I mean Mika would be pronounced "meeka", in the right way in Hungarian, and when I first read his name, it just stuck in my head in the right way.

It was only later, when I realized the whole mess about pronouncing his name, and found out that I actually pronounce it right.

  14. Its Mika in his imaginary world...beautiful:wub2:

I'm looking at this cute photo, and besides it's hot and looking so sweet, I feel like I have to believe him. It's not escapeism, it's only "hyper-reality", that makes life more enjoyable :thumb_yello::wink2:

Mika has this unbelieveable power that he can make not only his own, but lots of other people's lives happier!

  15. loooool...nice!!!If Mika is sooo famous now,can u imagine in 2009??2 years??

He will be the most famous...and this fanclub will have 200.000 members or more..looooooooool!!!:thumb_yello:

    wowowwowowowowowowowow!!!I'm sooo happy for him!!:biggrin2:

Wow, I love the fact that Mika is getting more and more famous and appreciated! Really, he is someone too hard to ignore! :thumb_yello:

Even Mika said himself that it's amazing that some time ago he could sell very few tickets to his concerts, and now fans (almost) could kill for a bonus secret gig's ticket.

He said that he heard someone saying in a studio about a new artist to a producer or something like that: "Hey, you have to hear this boy, he will be the new Mika!"

    ... and now this musical...

yeah, he's taking over the world :punk:

It was unbearable for me when he cancelled his concert here, in Hungary, the tickets would have been my boyfriend's presents for me, and we would have gone together to see him live. So I was very-very sad and disappointed.

But I seriously believe that it will only take a few years to him, and he will come here too, but he won't need any music festivals, because he will be doing his own world-tour, with thousands and thousands screaming people and full stadions every single evening, and I will have to order my ticket 6 months in advance :thumb_yello::punk:

Maybe it's a bit scary, but I can easily imagine it as his potential (and very possible) future.

  16. Well, I don't really think so. I read somewhere that he said that he likes girls with brains, and the inner side of a girl is more important for him than the pure looks. If so, if the looks isn't a number 1 important thing for him, if he won't fall for someone just because she's perfect and beautiful, than he won't fall for someone just for being big.

    ...But anyway, who knows?? :wink2::bleh:

But we all know that Big Girl is dedicated to his mother and to the feeling that you should be satisfied and happy with who you are and with your looks, regardless your size.

  17. which interview was it where he said he was looking for a stable relationship? i havent seen that one:biggrin2:

Ok, finally here you go. These are youtube links.

    PART 1:

    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jzCy3CMpVQc&mode=related&search=

    PART 2: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Mgh-Qixmloo

    PART 3: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=VzeuSTwO7N8

He talks about the stable relationship thing in the first part, but all 3 are worth it to watch, Mika is so cute in them! :wub2:

  18. which interview was it where he said he was looking for a stable relationship? i havent seen that one:biggrin2:

Sorry for the lack of the link, but I hope it will be easy to find it on this forum. This is a very recent interview, it was made about the TBA secret gig in Manchester. The interview is made by a woman (sorry, I don't know her name), and she also goes to a tea house or something like that with Mika, and they chat and eat together.

Mika says he wants a stable relationship, but no kids yet. He says he likes chocolate, but only milk-chocolate. And he says that he has no regrets at all, because there are some things that he wish he wouldn't have done, but those aren't so terrible. And he also mentions the "Mika laugh ringtone", he finds it very funny.

Anyway, if I'm right, someone also uploaded this interview to somewhere here (try threads about the TBA secret gig in Manchester), I think it is possible to download it.

  19. So what do you guys think? Is Mika married, taken, or just repressed??:naughty:

Secretly married? ...No, I don't think so. My opinion is based on an interview where he says he is looking for a stable relationship, but he doesn't want kids yet.

Taken? ... Maybe, it wouldn't be that surprising. If yes, good for him! I honestly wish him the best, all happiness, and to find the love of his life.

By the way, I kinda agree with the quote that provoked this thread. I mean he keeps his privacy private, it's ok, very intelligent, very elegant :thumb_yello: , very normal.

But if you ask my opinion... Come on! He's a young, healthy boy full of all the wild and crazy and beautiful emotions and wishes of his age-group. I would be seriously worried of him if he didn't have any interest in dating, flirting, sex, and this kind of stuff.

  20. No clothes, really. Or at least right now I can't think of any "mikaish" clothes of mine. My clothes are mostly "ellaish". LOL! :wink2:

But anyway, I do have 2 colorful bracelets. Nothing special, they are only made of plastic, a bit childish. A pink one and a purple one. I had them years before mika's first album, before I first heard of him. So they aren't the pure influence of Mika on me. But since I know him, I started to wear them again, because I don't find them ridiculous anymore. They make me think of Mika :blush-anim-cl:
