Hello lovely ladies *waves* ... it's been a while (and boy, this place looks different!) ... but it's great to see some familiar names!! xx ????

Had a wonderful time, really intimate gig and we enjoyed every single minute

I'm absolutely DELIGHTED to say I've won tickets to this gig

It's been over 2 and a half years since Kev & I last saw him live - so we're well overdue a little MIKA indulgence

I just feel a bit sad that more MFC's didn't win tickets - it would have been lovely to catch up with you guys (it's been far too long )

I love this song. This is the first of the new songs that has made me feel all warm and fuzzy again. I woke up this morning with it stuck in my head despite only having listened to it a couple times.

 

If he synths up his voice in the album version of this song I shall leave MFC forever as a display of my utmost disproval.

I'm still not 'getting' the other 3 new songs at ALL, or the fancy dress lark but I feel much more optimistic now that Meeks will not disappoint with his new album. How can just one song have such an effect on me? Damn it MIKA - you're GOOD

So wish I could have been there (darn you RL ) We were at the itv television studios VERY early this morning and were speaking to 3 ladies who had just travelled to London from St. Austell. Guess who they went to see last night? ... they were well impressed and said Meeks was FABULOUS !! ...sigh...

I know that I've said this before, but I really think that we couldn't have picked a nicer popstar to follow. He's definitely one of a kind, and I'm really "proud" of him and how far he's come since the start. That, and the fact that despite everything, he's remained so genuine and just so nice. I have very deep respect and admiration for him, it has to be said, and I know that this is a stupid thing to say here in the report, and that it's totally out of the blue and unrelated to the report, so I will leave it now

£1.99 for the EP - what a bargain and fingers crossed this wonderfully catchy tune keeps rising up the charts. I'd love for this to be getting some tv airplay (one can dream eh!)

not sure when I may see Mika again at all. I know I'm luckier than some,

Just seen the film which we found most entertaining.

 

Shame the song was at the very end, as the cinema was full for the film and by the time the song came on we were the only ones left and the attendants were waiting to sweep up! We stuck it out though and they very patiently waited for us to leave and seemed to enjoy the song themselves.

If only the song was at the beginning or actually in the film though, as very few people will get to hear it at the cinema.

What you said !! We saw the film yesterday and were the only 2 to stay right 'til the end. I was sat in my seat singing away (snuggled up in my MIKA hoody) but did feel a little bit sorry for the attendants waiting to clear up

Oh by the way, I walked into Kick Ass and it was towards the end. People started walking out during the first song in the credits, but 4 people stayed and listened to Kick Ass. Actually, one was an old man and he walked out halfway through the song lol But the other three were together and I thought perhaps they're Mika fans, but they stayed to see if there was any bonus footage at the end but there wasn't...but hey. They stayed, they heard Mika, and that's all I care about

 

I was gonna tell them the release date but then I thought they might think I'm weird, so I decided against it

I almost felt like I had to justify why we hadn't already left - but thought it would make me look like a bit of a freak LOL

Someone just wrote this on Mika's video of "Kick Ass" in the comments section...

just seen something weird on itunes....this song is available to pre-order as an e.p along with i see you.....i don't know if that's meant to mean that this song and i see you will be released as a double a side or if the latter is released shortly after....either way, this is a good song and it'll be good if i see you is released to, that's the best song on his new album in my opnion

 

I hope that doesn't mean that I See You won't be released as a single in its own right - I flipping love that song and was kinda dreaming it would be the next single to be released from the album

That’s what we want from his shows, isn’t it? The feeling that we are alive. Felt very alive yesterday

YES !! He has an extraordinary knack for making you feel like that

For me there are always a few highlights. During Over My Sholder and I See You I’m in heaven. Honestly. I can feel I’m in a soft and warm place and I can (almost) see those beautiful little angel boys (what are they called?) flying around the venue. Most of them have shy and happy smiles and some of them look even a bit wild and they are flying around and I just listen to his beautiful voice. Nothing compares to that. All I hear is his voice until I hear the audience singing. And at that moment those little angel boys (in my imagination) look a bit scared, even the wild ones. If I could make three wishes I would first wish a long and happy life to my family, secondly that my husband will love me forever even though I'm using all his money for traveling around the world after a pretty popstar and thirdly that people would NOT sing along during songs like OMS and I See You. There are enough other songs for that. Oh, I sound such a horrible person Also, I wish we could ask him to use less smoke during I See You, because at the most important moment of the show I really can't see him and I would love to because it's a BEAUTIFUL moment

It really does feel like something profound is happening when he sings those songs. For me it's as though we're experiencing a slice of something so beautiful it almost tests the limits of human capacity to process such beauty. I find that with Over My Shoulder especially. When he gets to those powerful notes I really have to remind myself to breathe. Combining his visual beauty with the stunning power of his voice really does feel like a temporary glimpse into soft and warm place that is just impossible to reach in day-to-day life. I was just floored when he started singing it in Oslo. After the acoustic tour I was sure I'd never hear it again.

Wonderfully put Mana. I get that 'forgot to breathe' feeling when hearing Over My Shoulder live too. It's a wonder we aren't all taken off on stretchers lol ...

I know that in Heroes, when Sylar is trying to fit into society or trying to hide, he becomes Gabriel. He does that by wearing glasses. It doesn't mean that he's weak, more that he's trying to be unassuming.

I was thinking of Heroes too Teegs... but trust you to mention Sylar

This song is so awesome, and I LOVE the vid It's a seriously cool vid. My husband saw it, and he seems to be a huge fan now. Well, he has always liked Mika's music, and he has seen several gigs already, but I have never seen him this excited and sending links to his friends etc
