Happy Endings was also played in a episode back in the summer, if I remember rightly in the same episode Grace Kelly was also played.

They were being very arty in the one episode, making it like a music video to appeal to it's teen target audience.

Although I did enjoy the them last time, I was hoping that there would be a support band other then Palladium. But still it'll be nice to see them agian, before they get 'big' if they do that is!

I have seen this "painting" before on mikasounds, not HE re. so mika is obviously using some of his "old" creations for the cover. looks very good, I love it.

I don't think you have seen this exact 'new' version of it before, but it is fairly similar.

I wouldn't say it just had added elements, as comparing this to Mika's 5-track promo album cover (the one with just Grace Kelly, Love Today, Billy Brown, Relax and Big girls) The hole image has been revamped, with different and brighter colours, added elements and a new background, better shape to the tree as well. Great improvements!

Can't wait to buy this at during my break college in a month's time! :D

They've put a more prominent backing beat on it - almost an R n B sounding beat (which I think spoils it, there's more than enough R n B out there already ). The ending is much shorter and all mixed up - as someone else commented I think it was RAK1.

 

Hmmm, the jury is out...

Yeah I thought the same when I heard her play it yesterday. It's the same background beat as the album version, just more louder/prominent as you have said. Not sure about the end, will have to listen to it again. I like it, it's away makes single more commercial, and main-stream. I'll have to wait and see which one like more, but I'm pretty sure it'll be the album version.

I not really sure about it, the sound quality reminds me of the leaked demo album, then mixed in with the official big girl just sounds really strange. Will have to see the full thing once it is put onto you tube.

I didn't know it was shown in any other country. Though I did hear it was introduced in America on BBC America recently.

I'm a massive fan of Hollyoaks, don't miss an episode, so hope he does decided to go though with it. I knew the people at Hollyoaks were fans when they got some of the characters singing Grace Kelly in an episode not long ago.

Though just one nit pick, you can't really say it's version 2.0, the site hasn't really changed physically or cosmetically (unless I haven't noticed something!)

I was really hoping that Lollipop would be the 4th single, but I think Happy Endings will be a nice one to release and a good move. Some of the British public in particular find Mika in your face and slightly annoying, I think Happy Endings will show a much more serious side to him.

Maybe Lollipop's day will come in 2008.

I couldn't help thinking the audience just didn't realise how privileged they were to be seeing Mika live. If I'd been there, I'd have been singing along and dancing away like an idiot.....there was a shot of one bloke at the front and he was like this...

Privileged to us fans, but not to alot of people. I think they were more privileged to see Shirley Bassey tbh, as Mika has years left in him now. Was it that man in the black hoodie?

They did show more, as I said on the previous page I managed to see Mika singing: Big Girl(twice), My Interpretation, Billy Brown(just the end bit), I want you back, Love Today, Grace Kelly, Lollipop, Sweet Dream and Ring Ring. I think they may have shown more before I had realised he was on the one channel. Though saying that most of it I saw on BBC interactive.

Love Today could have been ace if the crowd had sung the ‘ooooh a-oooooooh’ to go along with the drumming, that was a highlight when I saw him in May.

Dose any one thing he’ll ever be a headliner at Glastonbury, on the pyramid stage that is?
