  1. Finally made it home. I'm tired and don't know what to say... but here goes.....Wow, :wub2: what a wonderful show. The one-foot boy really knows how to dance. He knows how to make the audience dance too. It was wonderful being so close to the stage. A Mika concert always seems a bit surreal to me, and this one was no different. I like being pulled magically into his colorful world. His music... :mf_lustslow:

For me, it was a perfect night, perfect friends, perfect food, the rain stopped, perfect drinks, and I just felt so lucky to be a part of it.

Thanks to DaMango for the tickets, she is so wonderful. MFC Big Girls :thumb_yello: Thanks to Mana and Andrew for rounding up the MFC people for the meet and greet. Mika was very tired but came for a group picture. He sat next to me and was very sweet as usual. During the night I reminisced with DaMango about his last Seattle concert. <sigh> double <sigh>

    :wub2:

  2. Hi, my friend and I are planning to be there around 4:30pm on Monday and will probably go get a bite to eat before the show. I'm not sure where. If you are still free you should join us! Let me know -

    Saturday

    Sunday

    Monday :shocked::aah::teehee::wub2:

Anybody want to meetup between 5:30p and 10p Sunday OR noon and 6p Monday OR noon and 6p Tuesday?

Is anybody planning to eat out before the show or know any good restaurants near the venue?

Right now, my plan is to solo an adventure through downtown Seattle, but if friends or MFCers find themselves with time to burn, I'm up for a pick up group raid on local establishments :biggrin2:

(I really have played too much World of Warcraft and I haven't even logged in for over a year.)

  3. I can't believe that it is only one week from today. That is crazy... time has been flying so fast. I am so excited to see all of you again (and meet the ones whom I haven't met). At the last Seattle concert I got some good photos of Mika fans.... and I hope (at least some of you) will pose for me again.

This time, no valentines, flashing hearts, buttons or pins  sorry, i am not prepared like I was last time. But we will still have fun, right?

    Can't wait. :wub2:

  4. :teehee: so, hugh and I are back from San Diego.... where we had a wonderful time!!! i think it is probably time to send mr. hugo off to his next destination. as much as i would love to keep him... he does have planes to catch and plans to keep.... lucky lil hippo. SO, is he going to japan next? did i miss the the game plan or something. is there anyone there to tell me his next destination???

he is a very lovable and fun hippo :wub2: and i will miss him much. i am here for this week, and out of town again next week... so i will do my best to stay on the timeline....

hope you are all fine and will talk to you soon!!!

  5. awww yay! :groovy:

    Fantastic! :yay:

Aw, have fun with the little one!:wub2:

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Mr. HHH arrived just in time for a fun trip!! He arrived on Saturday.... and then on Sunday we had to leave for San Diego! Since he is such a traveler already.... he didn't seem to mind. We flew first class (free upgrade) together and had a wonderful day here. Now we are resting in our hotel and dreaming about a nice cup of tea.

I have a full week of conferences and meetings... but I think Hugh will have a good time also. He will meet lots of fun people and hopefully take some good photos to share.

  6. Lilmot?!?!

anyone know if she's been active in a while?

EDIT: was on 2 days ago...

    Lilmot?!

OMG!! Guess what? Today I was going through my mail and I had a notice to go to the Post Office for a package!!! A package from Mexico.

Hmmm.... that seemed a bit peculiar.

Until I remembered..... the HIPPO!!! Hugh Horace Hector was sitting down at the post office waiting to be picked up!!! I sent my brother down there as soon as I could, and here he is.... :aah::wub2:

Hugh Horace Hector, the Happy Hippo is here with me. Thank you!!! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I log in every once in awhile, but I really hadn't been keeping up too much.

HE is so cute. He was a little bit sad because he was missing Ana. But he was finally happy to arrive at his destination. He brought his party hat and some shades. And he is ready to hang out with me..... YEAH!!! I will send you more later.... just wanted you all to know that he is happy and healthy and he wanted to say hi to everyone!!!!

    More later....

  7. Woo hoo! Mika's coming back to the Emerald City! I am pretty excited to see the ol' boy again. I've seen him 3 times since 2007, but my boyfriend has never been able to come with me. Poor guy. I have dreams of getting a photo of them together, so hopefully October 26th will be the night!

Where are all my Seattle MFCers? (I'm looking at you lilmot!)

Say what? You're looking at me? Wouldn't miss it for the world, dahling.... thanks for the invite. It will be like ol' times....:mf_lustslow:

  8. Happy one year anniversary! :wub2:

I also can't believe it's been that long! Time flies. I miss me some Mika. :tears:

And I miss all you gals! Remember taking over that coffee shop post-gig until stupid-o-clock in the morning? :huglove:

Although, I don't think anything could ever compare to this gig. Holy crap. I got to dress up and dance on stage next to my idol. Even a year later, the mere thought of that sounds so crazy amazing that if I didn't have framed pictures on my wall, I'd be in disbelief it ever happened.

    For old time's sake:

And the energy in the Orpheum during this bit. Yay Greg!

    :stretcher:

Until stupid-o-clock in the morning....:roftl::roftl: Not that we could have gone to sleep anyway. Thanks for sharing the memories. I have some very good memories of my time there. :wub2:

  9. Hi guys!!! Wow! I truly cannot believe it has been an entire YEAR since our Mikatastic Valentine's Day! The memories are still so vivid. It was an all around wonderful day, and meeting you guys made it really special. I missed my honey that day (he was working on his college admission essay) but I still had a very happy Valentine's Day, thanks to another tall, dark handsome man. :naughty:

My boyfriend did get a little "taste" of the excitement. Mika's mother gave me a Krispy Kream donut after the concert, and I wrapped up and brought it home to him. As my boyfriend ate the donut, I told him that Mika's mom was feeding him. :roftl:

    Hey Rani,

How are you? Nice to see you post in here too! Yes, the memories are so close to my heart. I remember after we both spoke to Mika, how we walked part way across the street and then turned and just looked at him for awhile as if in a trance. Hope all is well with you.

    -Molly

  10. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

    A YEAR AGO!!!!!!

around now i just started to get in the line up! I was about #10 ( right) up in front! and wow I was getting so excited!!! and I love all of you guys!!!1

    LIllmot! Damango! everyone!:wub2::wub2:

TODAY IS THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF MIKA IN SEATTLE! WOOOHOO

Suzanne!!! How are you? I haven't been very active on the MFC of late, but today I was reminiscing. Last year I had a HAWT date with Mika on Valentine's Day....one that I will never forget. :wub2: I wish he would ALWAYS come to Seattle on Valentine's Day. I would buy them all lots of sweet valentine's gifts if they would just play and sing for me. <sigh>

It was great to read through this thread again. I remember the sound of Andy's voice when he asked Rose to be his valentine. I remember meeting all the wonderful fans and how much fun we had making valentines in the queue. I remember texting and calling Deb. The beauty of Mika's voice live, how sweet he was after the concert. The way he pronounced "Seattle". How happy he seemed to be. How crazy/excited the fans were. Ahh, how happy I remember I was. <sigh> :blush-anim-cl:

    Happy Valentine's Day everyone. :wub2:

  11.

he's a british cutie pie with an infectious smile & the "i still trip over my feet and stuff when i’m not supposed to be doing anything" nerdness

    <sigh>

the after the pub i'm not feeling entirely well tonite... ugh. stomach woes and i'm freezing. so, i think we need an infusion of hotness expression

    f_1212robertpm_e1df47f.jpg

I love it that I only have to come to the MFC to get my daily infusion of Mr. Pattinson. :wub2: You are all doing a brilliant job!! I especially love your captions, Greta... Thank you all.

So, apparently he is still in London, hopefully enjoying his time. Do you think he will go to the BAFTAs? They are today? Is anyone watching them?

  12. i was told by LUCY that Humphrey had been mailed to me 2 weeks ago but i have not recieved him yet... IM REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HIM:huh::annoyed_h4h::sweatdrop::no:

Has he been found yet? Poor Humphrey.....and he was so close to coming to visit me. Where is he? Did he get returned to Lucy by the Post Office? I hope he is ok.

  13. God that sounds rich! Is it very sweet? I imagine that you would need the cream just to cut the flavour of the pie!

I have a question though... What are Graham crackers? I'm sure I've asked someon before and not gotten an answer I could really relate to... I keep thinking "Are they like Digestive biscuits?" and the tricky thing there is that I don't actually know what digestive biscuits are, but whenever I hear about them they remind me of a biscuit we have called Granita.

*goes to have a little look see*

Edit: Just done some investigating... It sounds like I could substitute Granita's for Graham crackers as they are one of the classic biscuits used in cheesecake bases here in Australia.

It is rather rich, and yet it is so silky and fluffy that it melts in your mouth and it is like eating air or something. It is hard for me to describe. I really like it with the whipped cream.....then it is perfect!!

Okay, I had to go investigate graham crackers too and this is so funny I had to share: (from Wiki) "Though called a cracker, it is sweet rather than salty and so bears some resemblance to what Americans call a cookie and the British call a biscuit. The true graham cracker is made with graham flour, which is unsifted and coarsely ground wheat flour.

It was originally conceived of as a health food as part of the Graham Diet, a regimen to suppress what he considered unhealthy carnal urges" Wow, might be a good thing for some of the MFC :naughty:

I think you are right about the Granitas, especially since graham crackers are used for cheesecake bases here. Oh, and here is a picture of the Graham Cracker: 180px-GrahamCrackers-001.jpg

  14. No, I can't say I am tired of Mika.

I love his blogs/vlogs and I would also love cartoons and artwork. I wouldn't mind one or two blogs a day....but I don't expect it that often. I hope he will only do it when he wants to.

They make me very very happy. :wub2: I'm glad they are on the spur of the moment and sometimes very random. I loved the mentos and Coke one, the hotels, the boat ride, bridge bopping and some of his gigs (sort of from his point of view instead of ours). I really like how he puts music to them that usually fits perfectly or humorously with the vlog, but they are not over-glossy. I hate mtv videos and anything that comes close to that. I have learned a lot about different artists, listened to new music and I am even the proud owner of one copy of Amelia's magazine (which saved my life on the last 6 hour plane trip I took :naughty:)

I never thought that he would do this type of blogging/vlogging....just so random, short and sweet and perfect. I really wasn't expecting much, I thought they would be things that I wouldn't like at all (there are a lot of things that I don't like), but instead he really surprised me.

I know it is not everyone's cup of tea, but, hey, he really knew how I liked my tea (and I am rather picky about that too). :blush-anim-cl:
