We don't need him badly. We merely expect that when we buy non-refundable festival tickets to see him that he doesn't cancel with a bullsh!t "recording commitments" excuse only to appear in China a few days after the festival dates and that when he promises on radio to do a tour of the region that he actually does one.

Mika touring Australia any time soon is precisely that: fiction.

It's interesting how this little trip to Beijing has started debates on everything from protesting against China's human rights policy to haircuts, male make-up, and how to define/classify Mika's style.

I would complain more about his canceling his Aussie festival dates only to take a trip to Beijing days later if I were less apathetic to it all. I've come to accept that he and his management are unreliable inconsistent bullsh!t artists.

I'm not against makeup in general. I just don't think some of Mika's makeup choices are flattering. Just like I don't think some women's makeup choices are flattering.

Well, I doubt Mika woke up that morning thinking, "I'm going to wear loads of makeup today." It's part of his job, and part of being on TV. Maybe the Chinese makeup artists like men wearing more makeup. I dunno.

In general I don't understand the fuss about men wearing make up. Most especially in photoshoots, videos and photographed public appearances where they would want to look their best just as much as women do.

Men look hot in eyeliner *thinks of Ewan McGregor who has been known to wear it and looks so hot when he does*

I did wonder if it was true, because Mika doesn't like shows like X Factor, and other reality shows, so if he had been performing, it woud mean he had changed his principles, and the wonderful thing about Mika is, he changes his principles for NO ONE!
