I've kept meaning to ask this. Didn't know if you guys had seen these photos. They are from last year when The Whigs toured with The Kooks. This is from their blog (older entries)

There were 3 entrances (made out of fences so that just one person at a time could go through) and there were two big doors. However, just one (and not the one in front of us) was opened later .

 

While queuing, I was talking in English with Blue and suddenly a girl with blonde hair (quite obviously not her true hair colour), big big vintage sunglasses, high heels, a slutty outfit (IMO) and two holes in her lower lip from piercings she had taken out turned to us and started talking to us in English as well. She wanted to know whether we were English (no and no) and then started telling us that her mother was English and her father German and that she would live here and go to school, do her A-levels and then go back to the UK to get a job (basically half of her life story. We didn’t ask a single question though.). She was stupid and she annoyed me. Finally she turned to her friends again and they went on talking about how hot the Kooks are etc. (isn’t it strange that EVERYONE is so focussed on Luke? They have one of the most beautiful guys I've ever seen as a drummer and still everybody just talks about Luke. Have you ever heard anyone shout an "PAUL!! I LOVE YOU!!!" at a gig? Hugh? Pete ()?`It's ALWAYS Luke

 

Suddenly someone spotted a guy in tight jeans coming out of the backstage entrance going to the tour bus/truck. Then someone shouted "OH MY GOD!! THAT’S LUKE!!" and this made slutty half-british girl and 3 or 4 of her (similarly styled) friends get out of the queue and go to the backstage door. They stood around there for quite a while and spoke to a guy of the crew and then some minutes later Tony (tourmanager) came out. Then they waited even longer and suddenly a hatless Hugh came out () and took a lot of pictures with them.

After that, the girls -ly hung out in front of the stage door for a while but nobody else came.

I was actually planing to start with a simple "It was a very solid set :das:" and then insert a picture of Luke hoping around.

 

However, nada. ()

 

 

I took like THREE ****ing pictures which is most ****ing bothering me. I really missed a certain person there that was taking pictures while I was filming :sneaky:. Ana, where the heck ARE YOU???!!!

 

So anyway, a full report is on its way (I'm currently copying everything to my harddisc).

 

But let me please just point out, emphasize, underline & highlight the following:

 

There is no other band in the whole ****ing world that is even SLIGHTLY close to the perfection and fantasticness and utter brilliance the Kooks have. This was the BY FAR BEST festival performance I have EVER been allowed to witness. Ok, of course I havent been o oh so many festivals so far but compared to V Festival's Kooks set last year... it was more than just stunning today. It was like all over the place. I really managed to get first row ****ing centre-ish and FILM the entire thing (ok, a part of the beginning of See The Sun is missing due to me changing the memory cards / battery) but... nobody bothered, nobody even LOOKED at me. I filmed (VERY obviously) and I dont think I even have ceiling or parts WITHOUT the band. I will upload / send it to each and everyone that wants it. But first of all I have to copy it to my hard disc and convert it (I'll do this that night) and upload it to YouTube (from tomorrow morning on).

 

I'm completely dazzled and shocked and overly excited and happy and aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! GOD IT WAS SO BRILLIANT.

 

(And if my files dont work, I will commit suicide.) *goes to try the files*

Oh wow!!! We can't wait.....no hurry though....take your time.

Petra was front row centre and filmed the whole thing, including the new song - Rainbow. She says it was ****ing good :biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:

Shikutukumimika, I would love someone to film it! That is if I even meet him. I can't do it myself though, 'cause my camera isn't good to film with. (And it would be hard for me anyway when I give the doll to him.)

I'm afraid that I can't get Mini Mika's grand piano painted in time, so I can't do all the photo shoots with him that I wanted to do. Damn. Oh well, Mini Mika is almost finished and his clothes won't take much time. I'll take lots of photos of him when he says goodbye to all my dolls - Artem included! That's going to be heartbreaking!

Aww, we wish so too.

Yeah that was pretty legitimate. Ha we remember seeing them from our car walking the street looking so totally out of place and 'different' which was totally awesome. And then when we saw them walk into vintage vinyl (one of our favorite record stores) that put the icing on the cake.....it also put the gear into park. Nobody but Kooks fans could imagine walking into the store and seeing a huge stand of KONK albums and Paul and Hugh standing behind it looking at vintage albums..........oh and Hugh calling us 'pufect' sorry that's the only way I can spell perfect in a british accent.

errrr. I slap myself. There was like nobody in the store and we could've gotten a picture with them, geez. They were really all ours, haha.
