  1. Megan & Haley, I love this! :wub2:

Melanie - great job directing traffic! I've been so busy between work and school that my Mika time has been greatly limited the last week or so.

Another note - I see lots of writers and photographers, but we STILL NEED MORE LAYOUT PEOPLE! The layout job involves taking written content and photos and laying it out on a page in a way that looks pretty.

At this point, I don't care if you use PageMaker, Quark Xpress, InDesign, Photoshop, Publisher - whatever works for you! But, come one come all layout people! :thumb_yello:

i'd really like to do layout

  2. Well, a year or so ago, I was watching TV (no surprises there) when a commercial for the Hills came on. In the background there was this music, that went ‘doom da da di da di doom…’ and it intrigued me. I hopped on my computer and searched ‘Hills soundtrack’ and it listed samples of songs to listen to. One was by Mika called Love today. I quickly bought it and put it on my iPod and next thing I knew I was madly inlove with this song. Well, the next day when I went to school, I told my friend about Love Today, by a ‘band’ called Mika. She told me about a song called Grace Kelly, and the first thing that came to my mind was ‘what? This band sings about Grace under fire?’ So, of course, I looked it up on iTunes, and put it on my iPod. ‘Wow, this is really catchy,’ I would say after hours of repeated listening to the two songs. When something struck me, I had no idea what this person/band even looked like. My magical typing skills came into use once again, and I found out all about Mika, and I decided adding the rest of his album onto my iPod, would be appropriate. The music really helped me when I had a bad day at school, and when I was sad, because it picked me up and made me think about how happy I’d be to hear him play live, at a concert. So whenever I am blue, or need cheering up I always listen to love today, and it reminds me I watch way too much TV.

His music has also, put me in a very weird state of mind. It was played twice in two days. I never hear any of his music in Canada or anywhere I go, but when I randomly decided to put on a music channel, I heard ‘relax, take it easy!’ from the other room. I just wanted background music when I was alone, because my house creaks. If I usually turn on music, it’s the 70’s music when my Uncle Wayne comes over. It was completely random, and completely worth it. Then, when my mom went for groceries she heard ‘Love today.’ I went completely crazy when she told me that. I think this is a sign.

--I think I should take out some of the nervous blabbering on.
