  1. Don't know if any of you have seen this yet, but Tom Chaplin from Keane sang "It's A Hard Life" with Queen at the Prince's Trust, and perhaps I'm just biased, but I think he did an amazing job. :wub2:

    Check it out:

WOW! I have not seen this before. FANTASTIC job by Tom. He does Queen very well.

  2. Oh what a cool thread. Seeing everybodys wishes/bucket list makes me want to wave a magic wand for you all. Especially Anouk. My heart goes out to you.

It would seem most are achievable with a bit of hard work.

The ones I have left are:

To be able to dip my toes in the Gulf of Mexico

    See Niagara Falls

To have my make-up done by Boy George (tart)

To go into a china shop and push all the shelves over!

To meet Roger Taylor, John Deacon and Brian May - last remaining members of Queen.

I've achieved my goals of going to America, Greece and travelling. Meeting Mika once and my heart throb Dan Reed 8 times.

But I would still like the impossible, have my granddad back (poppie) and my closest friend (Jayne).

If you can learn anything from this you young-uns, go for it. Do as much as you can whilst you're young, fit and able.

  3. Poor Mika, he was really poorly in the Album chart show special. I have to say I was very annoyed at the editing of the show. (I wasn't there) but I know the experience is far different than the final cut. Far too much chopping and changing the camera shots, not enough focus on Mika. Was "Rain" completely sung in a different key, on purpose? The verses came across totally different, I wonder what it sounded like being there?

Mika has an amazing voice but sadly this didn't do him any favours.

I recognised Sariflor and Cazgirl in the audience. Great shots of you 2.

  4. Thanks for posting a pic of the poster. Have been reading thru this thread with marginal interest.

It doesn't matter to me what sexual orientation Mika is. Nor should it.

We would not have a thread if Mika said he was really an Africaan!!!! It's just something one should accept as is, like the colour of one's skin.

Mika is a beautiful human being who makes astounding music and puts on a great theatrical show.

I suppose it is because the news is new. It was like this when Freddie was discovered to be gay/bi.

Look at how his legend is looked back on. One of the most flamboyant showmen there ever was. I hope Mika attains this level, but not in the way his life is ever cut short.

MIKA SHOULD BE AROUND FOR A L-O-N-G TIME YET.
