Spray on glitter I must put that on the list of things to buy. I am happy because I can park the car at the parking garage near the venue and then walk to the meet up which is a couple blocks away. So I am relaxing a bit as the logistics are working out and ow I can just think about Mika & Co.

well, the girls and I went shopping to find a couple of things for the concert. Zoe got "braces" but didn't find the jacket she wants so that will have to bought online. Aubrey got some colorful stuff and what did I get,NOTHING, I tell ya. Well a box of Mike and ike candy (MMM fruity goodness) I don't know what to wear. (Its been awhile since I've said that) We were supposed to go to a knitting club for Zoe but we had enough going from store to store so we came home. LOTS to be done, but my sugar crash is getting the better of me. Saturday we are going to get refresher training in how to track bobcats. A couple of years ago we took a day of training on how to trap (live traps) collar and set motion cameras all to study bobcats. Here in NJ they are an endangered species. This year though instead of cameras (too expensive) they just want people to track them and see what happens. So I'll be looking for scat, aka poop.

Clue me in. The meet up the day before or the meet up the day of? The DAY OF I would be happy to meet up with you lot. I have to figure out how far away the parking garage/venue is from where PAX is. Is it walkable? As I don't want to drive around town. Is anyone else going to hang out and see if we can see them coming in for sound check?

I pretty much was going to go into NYC get my parking space at the place near the venue and then whatever till after lunch, I'd hang out near the back doors to see the band arrive for sound check. I too have had the odd thought of having to "stand my ground" to get my girls a good spot on the floor for the concert. This is their first "real" concert and it will be a memory they have forever and share with their kids. I don't want to act like a Momma Bear but I'm not above it if ya know what I mean. I am getting SO PSYCHED Still don't know what to wear have to remember that will be February and though I want to 'fashionable' I'd also like to be warm. I am experimenting with hair wrapping and I may throw some makeup on. To the other MF Clubbers going and (parents) I've got your back when it comes to the line. Thanks for the speedy reply. Finding Mika's music has been so fresh and invigorating. It is also an inspirational story he and his family has. See I haven't had a concert outing since becoming a "Big Girl" and the idea of just putting myself out there in my new form is a wee bit scary, but chances are I am going to do it as I intend to live the words I've spoken to my girls and they need to see me put them in action. I am worried about the day after let down of the NYC concert. Beating myself up for not doing something creative in the music/fashion business. Watching many interviews w/ Mika about his motovation behind the "Grace Kelly" lyrics I realized I did listen to the nay sayers and believed the so called "support" people in my life that I walked the other way. Now, nowing what I know I wish I had said f**k off and trusted myself. I said f-off about too many things but why not to something I loved? Edit: I've been Mikafied and that is wonderful. I just have to let go of the crap that is in my head and let Mika take me to Mikaland. Where is the MFC Mothers Club and can I put Oddlings #65 on my signature area?

Did not see a thread for moms who are getting identity mad thanks to mid-life crisis, so I figured "oddlings" was the place to go to try to get sorted with a lot that may understand. The first pangs came after we saw Mr. Mika in NYC in August @ Good Morning America and that took a bit to work out. Being in the city was a bit over whelming in that I just felt such possiblities but not a clue how to grab them. So, its been in my head ever since and some things bring out more than others. A wedding yesterday did me in after I saw myself in the lavatory mirror. I couldn't dance, eat or have a good time. I use to be very fit and now I'm not and 85% of that was a series of reasons that wasn't my fault. Wouldn't go into detail. So I don't look they way I want or expected to look at the age of 38. Not sure what I want to do when I grow up. I have ideas though. I want to do something to my hair before the Mika show in Feb. in NYC That was my thing back in the day was doing my hair. Not Boy George hair more like the guy from Dead or Alive when they did the "You Spin Me" video. Course my kids are a little afraid of what I might do with my hair as they have hit the age of death by embarrasment. It wouldn't be too crazy. I use to eat, sleep and live music and fashion when I was young. So if you have experienced a mid-life funk or watched one in a loved one you could PM me or post it here. Sorry for the discombobulated rambblings. I'd like this to get sorted soon.

Hi, I posted twice under my daughters user name (with her approval, of course) I am mom to two girls wife to one husband and a Mika fan. Back in March Mr. Mika & Co. were on Good Morning America and that pretty much it, I was MIKAFIED It stayed in my mind till one day @ Taget I was found the cd and bought it. There has been no looking back. Mika_Obessed, my dd. found out that Mika was coming back to GMA. Long story short the whole family went and we had a GREAT time. We were stage right and that was the area right next Cherise and Mikeys amps so that section didn't get much camera time or Mika time. So during a break I yelled out "Mika, show us some love." He smiled and came over. My dd got her poster autographed and I asked about his home school time. (It was all I could think of right away) But something to make a connection. He was gracious to answer. His energy was awesome. We are going to see Mika & Co. at Terminal 5 in NYC on 2/2/08 and I look forward to meeting some of you. Love, Mom4Mika
