  1. THANK YOU Mika for being not only an incredibly talented musician and performer but a genuinely down-to-earth person. Attending the London gigs last week has been one of the most AMAZING experiences for me.

Thanks to everyone who was involved in this tour

Thank you fellow MFC-ers for posting all your reports, videos and pics from the gigs you attended. Reading all the threads about the concerts these past months has made me feel as though i was in every single one of the amazing gigs of this tour.

    THANKS :flowers2:

  2. This is my first serious speech in the forum because my written english is a bit limited.

SINCERELY THANK YOU TO MISTER M

and thanks to his tour manager, thanks to his family, thanks to the band, thanks to the crew

for the wonderful gig and for the unexpected after show party.

    and...

    FORGIVE US

You gave us the opportunity to be your guests... but our conduct was just like a "fans"...

so forgive us for the constant asking for pictures and autographs during the party.

    Don't blame us please.

We are used to act as fans (queuing for hours, being pushed during the gig, waiting for you in the cold at the backstage door...) so being treated like guests and acting like that was totally unexpected to us.

    So forgive us please.

    Message to MFC members:

Please don't cry if you did not talk with him at the party, don't cry if

you did not take a picture with him...

what's really important is that he remembers us.

We are a lot, it is impossible that he remembers every single person...

and during the party we were a lot of people...

but he remembers US... that's what's important...

so add your thank you to our favourite songwriter please... and RELAX TAKE IT EASY

    Very well said Allegra!

I really believe too that what is important is that he remembers us. And oraganising that afterparty proves exaclty that. I think we should all keep that in mind and be happy about it even if we didn't get a chance to talk to him or even if we didn't get a pass to the afterparty. All that matters is Mika's unbelievably sweet attitude towards his fans and the incredible gigs we had the chance to experience in London last week. So what i'm really trying to say is THANK YOU MIKA!

  3. Your thread Caz is exactly what the MFC needed right now! Let's be as positive as we can as we've had such a fantastic year and so many great things to remember!!!

My favourite memories of course are the ones from the Mika gigs i attended this week in London. I didn't get to meet him or get an autograph but seeing him perform all of his songs that i love so much live has made me feel extremely happy!

  4.

    Thanks for the video Robertina!

I'm so sad about not meeting you guys! I didn't manage to arrive early enough, especially on Monday!

Now i'm gonna try and read all the pages of the thread to see what's been already written about the gig. Then i'll try to write my report. The Hammersmith show was my first Mika gig and the only thig i can say right now is that it was an AMAZING concert!

  5. It's quite funny to see how a great event can so easily be turned into a drama on this forum.

As Lollipop_monkey said it, there are always 3 sides at a story. It's not because the after party didn't go too well for some people (for whom I'm sorry, really, but after all some had not even the luck to be in London for any of the 3 gigs) that we should come to the conclusion that the MFC misbehaved or whatever. We could at least wait for more reports, don't you think?

I'm pretty sure Mika and his management never expected the crowd to stay politely in line waiting to Mika to come to them for a chat as if he was just "some guy at a party". They are not that silly and they've experienced signings before.

So yeah, maybe he was a bit mobbed, maybe he was called silly petnames, but no news under the sun, really.

People complain about him taking pics with the same people AGAIN, talking to the same people AGAIN, but when these people are your friends and come and post their reports, everybody's like "ooooooh, it's great blabla". Pffff

I am happy for everyone who had a chance to talk to him and get a pic with him last night, wether it was the first time or the 15th time. I'm sorry for those who didn't, of course, but the names I read had privileged moments with M in the past too and I'm sure they will have more in the future.

I try to focus on the positive aspects of this all: they organised something for the MFC as a whole while everybody was scared Mika would be more and more unreachable. That's just great !! Yeah for Avoca, Rose, and all the people without who that wouldn't have happened! Yeah for Rose (rah Pinguin you're a star!) and Sariflor for their lovely reports. And Thanks again to all the MFCers (and Mikawebsiters btw!) that rang me or others, texted, and let us shared a bit of their joy last night. :wub2:

Totally agree with everything you say Niki! We should definately focus on the positive side of things. I didn't get a pass to the afterparty but i've had such a great time at the London gigs so i won't complain. I'm sure that in the future we will all have more chances to go to gigs and even meet Mika.

The fact that there was a party organised for the fans should make us all happy even if we didn't get a chance to be there and even if things were far from perfect.
