  1. het candboys - where did you email?

I saw the post on here and on myspace looking for lollipop girls. I wasn't going to at first but I figured it was a long shot and I should just try. I hope it all goes well and this is not some sick joke! I have pm'ed the other gal on here that got the call this morning too so I guess it is legit.

It was funny actually, since as some of you know, my puppy is named Mika. My husband answered the phone and thought, my DOG doesn't have management!

  2. i think so.

he's too big in france now

but we can check better in the following days

I guess that makes the upcoming Chicago show extra special. It is a big club venue but definitely not an arena.

    Not bad thanks. How's you?

    Already  ?

It makes you wonder what we did before digital cameras!! Thanks for the Myspace request - we are now friends!

Thanks! I am trying to learn my way around myspace. It seems very different to me than facebook. I am not real sure of how it all works yet.

I know....but I did it in Glasgow as my digital was playing up...and when i TOOK IT IN (sorry) I only had to wait an hour....and it was well worth the wait!!!:naughty:

OK, I will go out this weekend and buy some disposables!

  3.

Why not take a couple of disposables, just in case?:thumb_yello: ( i think SL is right............I must be a pro!!!:naughty: )

Yea, that's a thought. I did not realize how digitized I have become. Film camera, back to waiting to see IF your pictures came out. Going to the store to drop off the film, waiting, paying for bad shots. Wow, what a horrible whiner I am!

But, hey! I will have my phone!:thumb_yello:

  4.

That is a bummer...and definately not worth getting thrown out for. If I were you...and God knows, I want to be!!!! :naughty: I would concentrate on enjoying the moment whilst actually in the concert...don't worry too much about pics..because there will always be some pics available...but take pics outside...especially at a small venue there is a good chance that you will get close to mIKA OUTSIDE..AND DON'T WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT 'NO PICS' OUTSIDE... (whoops sorry!) I never do...and they can't take your camera off you outside :naughty:

There was talk on the Chicago show forum that they may even have metal detectors. I want to be able to take decent pictures but don't want to get my camera confiscated nor do I want to be thrown out.

Have fun dcdeb! I will look for your show report!

  5.

How far is it? how big is the venue?

The drive is about 4 hours, I think. You would think I would know since I went to Chicago over Christmas but I don't really remember. I am not sure how big the venue is. I think bigger than the one in Minneapolis but not huge like toronto.

The big downer is I heard on the official concert forum that the venue was very strict about their no camera rule. It was said there that if they see your camera, they can throw you out.

  6. It will be great to see everyone again. As we have said before, the meet up of MFCers is almost the main event now and Mika is an added bonus!!

It's good that your customers are supportive. It must be difficult being self employed (I assume you are, sorry if you're not)

I know, I wish there were other oldlings going to Chicago. I am not really making any big plans to line up early or anything. I don't think the family would appreciate getting frozen. Although my one son REALLY wants to be up front. I have no idea what the size of the venue is. I only know that it is now sold out.

  7. Hi Cadnboys - what's House of Blues?

Hi, Sarahlou, House of Blues is the venue name in Chicago for the Mika concert next Tuesday night. I know I am a worry wart but I keep watching the weather. Our cars are not the best and don't really want the roads to be icy and slippery when we go.

  8. Hi CB - glad DH can go with you - enjoy it :thumb_yello:

    another nutter husband! :roftl:

    (am i right? )

Yes, he is actually getting excited to go. I am relieved that he is able to because I was going with or without him. Plus, he can take they boys to the washroom when needed.:blush-anim-cl:

Wendy, are you feeling any better? I went to the doctor and got some new meds for headaches today. So, I am waiting for the next one to hit to try it out.

Rose, I don't think we have met and I will go to back posts to catch up a bit. New opportunities are good and scary. I hope it works out for you. Don't mind me, I don't know what I am talking about.
