We did get out eventually just as you were getting in to the van to leave, megga downer ! We did wave and somoene waved back, thanks if it was you:thumb_yello:

what plans do you have for meeting and queueing ?

    Is anyone staying ?:blush-anim-cl:

I'll need to book it all petty quick, need to see how hubby is doing but i might manage, would be last of the year for me and a massive expense !

I'd need a gurarantee of a meeting with him after !:wub2:

  7. That's cool. I always wonder who those early people were because it seems like no one on MFC saw him before late January and even those people are few and far between.

I'm actually surprised by that because I first heard Mika in November and if I was in the UK and found out he was playing I would have been there. I didn't see him until March because that was the first (and only) time he came to Canada.

I guess it was just a matter of things happening so quickly. One day no one had ever heard of him and the next Grace Kelly was on high rotation on the radio.

It was a similar scenario in Canada. I had no problem getting a ticket awhile after they went on sale and when he arrived 3 weeks later his album was #2 in the country and scalpers were selling tickets for 7 times their face value. There were dozens of ads on Craigslist like "desperate to see Mika" and I thought...you should have been desperate 2 weeks ago and you could have picked them up at Ticketmaster!

This is quite sad as next time i'll see him it'll probably be in a big place and he won't come out after gigs anymore as it'll be too mad

  8. mmmmmm ..... was the rush that bad really???

Lets put it this way about you being at the front .. I came in with all of you then I would say for 30 mins or more I was heading to the balcony chatting and getting drinks .. even that length of time after I could easy get within the first 2 rows ........

I must say that when my friend and i arrived after hours of delay ( rain/no taxi/footie!) and had to queue round the side i was so dissapointed as i thought, we'll never get near front now .... BUT we got in front row and it was really ok .. i thought there would be much more pushing :sneaky2: but when he finally bounced on to stage and i told my ( not to well ) friend if she felt it too hot and crushed to stand at back we were pleasantly surprised to find it was quite ok.:wub2:

I think some people were very possesive of their places, but i can undestand , no one seemed nasty where we were..... i just still have sore arms from leaning on the railing and some very sore feet after the hour plus walk home etc etc ! I think the huge gap in front let air circualte and the bouncers were giving us lots of water from a very big bin !

sorry if others felt crushed and rushed though but generally a well behaved bunch near us :thumb_yello:

  9.

Don't people normally laugh when you ask them to watch your kilt whilst you have a pee then?!

Whoops Blue Sky will be after us for using the thread for chatting!

Well for my first Mika gig , here is my first report !:blush-anim-cl:

It was fabulous, amazing performance by the man:punk:

I was amazed to find myself in the front row after spending two hours getting to the venue! Taxis/rain/footie

Anyway it was as has been well documented AWESOME:thumb_yello:

My only problem was my friend i came with was not too well and in the end we had to stay in the venue and not be outside meeting Mika after:thumbdown:

I was really upset about it but after some kind words from Kath feel a bit betta:mf_lustslow:

It meant i could not really get in to the MFC atmoshpere as much as i wanted as my friend was struggling , anyway i really had an amazing view and the feeling at the front was great.

I do hope to meet you guys all again soon and proper !!!

I would do anything for a Newcastle ticket and if anyone has one they don't want (not likely) i'd be so so happy .... i may try to get one somehow if ican as it looks a great venue and have been offered support from Kath! Thanks so much !:mf_lustslow:

Well hope this does not sound bad i'm just pleased to be able to speak to you guys after all this and say HI again xxx

    love Vx
