If the noun is a male, like "3 boys" (well here you can tell it's a male), you say "shlosha banim" (banim --> ben in plural) remember- "shalosh = 3"

so if the noun is a male- you add again 'ה' to the NUMBER.

If the noun is a female, like "3 girls" (again you can tell it's a female), you say "shalosh banot" (banot --> bat in plural) - so the original word for the number stays without changes.

שלושה בנים = three boys, "shlosha banim" (שלושה= three, "shlosha") (בנים = boys, 'banim')

שלוש בנות = three girls, "shalosh banot" (שלוש= three, 'shalosh') (בנות = girls, 'banot')

SOOO when it's a male, you add 'ה' to the number.

Female- the same original number.

In adjectives it works the opposite. ('ה' for the FEMALE adjectives and not to the male.)

another thing, when you wanna say for example: "big ball" it's actually written in Hebrew: "ball big"

in Hebrew letters: כדור גדול, sounds like "kadur gadol"

כדור = kadur (ball)

גדול = gadol (big)

and one more thing! In hebrew, a noun (=ball) can be male or female reference! In this case, Kadur (=ball) is a male noun.

If you wanna say "big pillow" you say "Karit gdola" and not "Gadol"! because in this case, "Karit" (= pillow) is a female reference! so the adjective is changing from "Gadol" to "gdola", and that's one of the reasons why the Hebrew language is so difficult:aah:

so,

כדור גדול = big ball, "Kadur Gadol"

כרית גדולה = big pillow, "Karit Gdola" (you add 'ה' to the word)

Exactly. a letter that attatched to the word. and when we wanna write "and....." it will be:

ו..... (the dots should be left to the letter)

In Hebrew, the word "and" sounds like "ve" (not "vee") and it's written in one

letter = ו (the one that can also sounds like "O" in "shalom" (שלום)

For example: בן ובת = "a boy AND a girl" (= sounds "ben vebat") ben= boy, bat = girl.

VE= AND.

In Hebrew we write the same numbers (1,2,3...)

but I'll teach you how to SAY the numbers in Hebrew :

1= "ehad" written אחד (= one)

2 = "shtaim" written שתים (= two)

3 = "shalosh" written שלוש (= three)

4 = "arba" writtem ארבע (= four)

5 = "hamesh" written חמש (= five)

6 = "shesh" written שש (= six)

7 = "sheva" written שבע (= seven)

8 = "shmone" written שמונה (= eight)

9 = "tesha" written תשע (= nine)

10 = "eser" written עשר (= ten)

lots of "SH" (=ש) right?
