we were married this past June in an old English-style inn. The ceremony was outside in the gardens in front of a gazebo overlooking the river and the reception was inside. Very beautiful--and very hot in June!

I cannot believe it's been over three years since I last posted. Since then, I've fallen in love,gotten married to the love of my life, and since the new album came out I thought I'd pop in and see what's going on. Kind of hoping Mika travels to the US again soon-I'd love to take my husband to a show

Oh my gosh we're hoping he is going to do some gigs around us here in U.S.A. We agree that we LOVE when he mentioned the fans part. That made us feel so happy. And that's great since the venues will probably be small. We're so excited.

Although paranoid me is wondering "How am I going to get tickets to a smaller gig before they sell out?" Hopefully he'll schedule LOTS of US dates.

So my friend Loren told me Taylor Hanson has joined a new band called Tinted Windows. There are also members of other famous bands in the group, too. (Can't remember them, but I think Cheap Trick was one.) They already recorded an album, which comes out next month. They're going to tour and have a MySpace page up and running.

Weird, huh? How can Taylor be in two bands, plus be an attentive husband and father? That's quite a juggling act.

hello again! im kinda in the same position as you, i havent been on here in the longest time, at least not regularly. i remember you, we created the best mug ever (Happy Ending), lol. hope to see you AND everyone else around here more often, ive really missed MFC.

Oh yes! The best mug ever! Yeah, I'm always a fan, but just...busier at the moment. And having a boyfriend now takes a lot of time away from MFCing.

LOL, yes you should! Everyone needs a signature drink. I remember when I used to post on the Anna Nalick message boards (another musician in case you haven't heard of her). Anyways, she mentioned she loved Starbucks' pumpkin spice lattes, and suddenly EVERYONE was drinking them and posting about how amazing they are! I still prefer the chai, though.

I wonder what Mika's signature drink would be?

I have no idea what is going on, and I'm horribly late in posting my reaction to the new music (as usual these days!) but I love it! Nice to hear some songs fleshed out that I believe we heard at the end of last year during his concerts.

It's going pretty well! Tired of winter and snow but oh well. What can you do? And you know, it says I last visited the board on November 15th, but I swear it's been longer. I don't think I've posted regularly since the summer. Craziness... How are things here?

I just realized I haven't posted since *gasp* November 15th. Sooo...hello again! I was listening to LiCM tonight, and kinda missed the MFC, lol. I also realized it's been almost a year since I saw him in concert when my sister was an LG...also weird. Already a year???

I'm sure this has already been discussed, but I just have to randomly pop in here and say I'm still SO annoyed the movie 6 release date was postponed til next year. And we have to wait until 2010 and 2011 to see the 2 installments of movie 7? Yikes!

I guess on the bright side, the Twilight movie was pushed up to take HPs place. Yay. *still annoyed*

Is this a movie now?? I shelve these books at work, but I had no idea it was a movie. Usually we get movie tie-in cover releases.

School? But it's not even the end of August yet...

The university near where I live just started classes today. I am so not ready for school to be back in session. I've already graduated but still...school means cooler weather, and I feel like summer just started! *hates winter*

well the proper term I guess is I 'dusted' my bone, meaning I split it into so many fragments that it was just shattered shards of bone floating around in there and basically...a plate is holding that bit of my leg together. with a bunch of screws.

 

I slipped off the bottom step of my porch and landed wrong. I was fiddling with the handle of a luggage bag and down I went. and I broke the back part of my ankle, and the sides (tibia and fibula) and tore all the muscles, ligaments, tendons and soft tissues.

 

lovely for the first year of college. let me tell you.

Oh. My. Goodness! You poor thing! And starting your first year of college? That will be a memorable first year. Keep taking that calcium, and I hope you heal REALLY fast!

His face was really funny. I liked his face right before when he's looking up at the clock to see if he won. It's like it took him a couple extra seconds to process that they had won because the other guy had already starting cheering. I can't find a picture of what I'm talking about but here are two that I did find.

Calgary is verrry nice in September...with direct flights from Detroit...and a rather small (900ish) venue...

We may just have to wait until Mika tours again, though. But then we should definitely get tickets to the same show! I'm going to more than one...
