yeah Austin is not great for buses

I know, I'm going on Tues night, and I have no idea how I'll react. I think it'll be a rollercoaster. I want to see it, and every clip gets more and more amazing.... but it's all so sad....oh man.

Oh no! It was my housemate's birthday last night and we had cookie monster cake, and it was amazing! I hope you feel better.

I usually take the bus, but then you're restriced by the times it runs and where it actually goes. It's not a problem for home/campus but to go to any malls or anything, forget it. So thus far I've been relying on my housemates.

Oh well if it's making you feel better, then that's good. And cake is always a plus

I don't get to go shopping much...it's tough not having a car here, but I'll keep an eye out

LOL yeah maybe! You know this theory of the black Irish, it's something that no one in Ireland had ever heard about. I have heard of it twice in my life (before you mentioned it) and it was from Americans who claimed they were Black Irish. I don't get it, lol.

yeah you know now and again people will say to me "oh I love red hair" and I'm like, "I DON'T have red hair!".... weird. I guess some people see it like that, and then they hear I'm Irish and of course then I have to have red hair

Ooh dark purple would be cooool! But yeah, it can be tricky to do it yourself, there is defnitely a tedency for it start turnign kind of ginger after a while... Maybe that's where my red hair remarks come from..

well of course you could ask directly It's medium brown, maybe even light brown..nothing too excitng, so I change it. most of the time I go lighter, but the odd time I try darker

There's a singalong/party tonight and next Thursday. I can't go tonight but I might try next Thursday. The other thing is Thrill the World, do you know it? It's on Oct 24th. Basically they want to egt 1000 people to do the Thriller dance in the street! I've gone to a workshop and learnt the dance, but you could still come on that day, they have a lesson at 5pm and then the whole things starts at 8pm...I think it's going to be massive! I'm meeting up with friends from MJJCommunity, and I think it'll be a lot of fun! So let me know if you're interested!

Here I live not so far from UT...a little to the SW of it.

Right, I understand. Most of the parties are in the Alamo Drafthouse, which I think has a bar section. But the singalongs are like in a movie theater... I know people who have been to them so I can ask them what the setup is like, if that helps.

I lived in Spain for 1.5yrs, it's my favourite place on earth, especially Madrid I feel so at home there. Portugal has its beauties but it wasn't for me....I just found it small and narrow-minded, although people there are friendly. So I would go back to Spain in a heartbeat but not Portugal for a while

Well, I've found MJ fans to be really warm and open-minded so I don't think there would be any problems with your dress, but if you don't feel comfortable, that's up to you. But Austin is pretty eclectic, everyone fits in So I would love for you to come: keep me updated

well my name is pronounced neeve, that's why I use that on here. but it's spelt Niamh.. it's Irish. I moved, well long story...last year I was living in Portugal, but I moved home to Ireland for about a month before moving to Austin.

There are a few MJ things going on here soon, parties and sing-alongs and what not. Yay! I think they have them pretty frequently anyway.

I would love to go on msn but I always have assignments....but ok, I'll see what I can do you know, last night I was practically tearing my hair out trying to get the answer to that syntax problem, and then I just kinda meditated for about a minute, and imagined that all knowledge of everything is up there somewhere (like Mike says about his songs) and I envisioned it coming into my mind...and within 5minis I had the answer!!!

You're right about the material possessions... they help when they're useful items, but apart from that, they don't bring us anything.
