  1. I've decided to actually write something instead of just lurking :naughty:

Big thanks to everyone who organised yesterday, it was great seeing everyone - and seeing so many fans in the audience! On the way out after the show everyone around me, people I didn't know, were talking about Mika and how good he was. Being the soppy old fool that I am I actually cried during Stardust, at that point I was happy to be up in the cheap seats and away from the cameras!! :roftl: And the medley was brilliant, I especially loved that version of Lollipop.

It still amazes me to see how well he speaks Italian, I've learned the language myself so I know how difficult it is to speak with the confidence that he has, but it seems to come naturally to him, and I really admire him for that. I'm sad that the Italian adventure's over, but it couldn't have ended in a better way.

  3. :lmfao: oh really? have you ever really thought we had one? :lmfao:

I agree, numbers and order and respect are science fiction in Italy without an authority in support. This is what we are.

Ha! So true, from a foreigner, Italians just don't do queuing in general and will try to do anything to be sneaky (this also goes for everything in general...) and jump the queue. I did the touristy thing with Roby, and I had a lovely afternoon. The chapel was spectacular. I was a little further back than she was during the gig, but I still had a great time.

  4. Mika loves Rome and Rome loves Mika :biggrin2: He seemed so happy to be back! And the audience was amazing, everyone went absolutely mental when he sang the Italian lyrics, and pretty much for the whole last four songs. There was a great atmosphere. I had such a great time, I had more space than in Padova and I danced like a mad woman :teehee:

He changed the setlist slightly from Padova. There he opened with BIOTG, here it was Relax. And on Friday he did Toy Boy but here unfortunately he didn't. I found how well EMD went down hilarious, an Italian crowd going crazy during a French song! Celebrate was probably the one that the crowd loved the most though.

The Roman crowd loved the Italian lyrics more than Padova, in general I had the impression that they were more enthusiastic, but that might've been because the people around me were. There was a great atmosphere.

At the end he pulled out a 'grazie' sign from his hat, much to the appreciation of the crowd. The girls had handed them out here too, and they did a great job.

Things didn't go well after the show though, no barriers or any kind of organisation. So when Mika showed up everyone basically pounced on him, crowding around. I decided to stay out of the way with the others, I didn't fancy trying to push my way through the crowd.

I'd like to thank everyone who made this past weekend so wonderful, I had an amazing time!

  5. What I remember the most from this gig is the sound problems :teehee: Like the others have said, his mic didn't work during Rain, and he had no idea. He kept on singing and jumping around like a madman, and everyone was gesturing and shouting that they couldn't hear. He finally understood why everyone was gesturing though! The sound wasn't great in general though (and the same goes for Rome), we could only really hear him as well as we should have during the acoustic songs.

It was a great show, the crowd in general was great, even though the people around where I was weren't extremely enthusiastic. There was a great reaction to the Italian lyrics, it was very appreciated. And when he held up one of the 'grazie' signs at the end everyone went mental. Big thanks to everyone who organised that, it worked so well!

We froze outside waiting for him after the show, it was SO cold! Eventually he came out, signed autographs, chatted, the usual. It was very organised, also because of the barriers that were there.

I was one of the very last people to leave the venue :lmfao:
