  1. OK I'm not going to give anything away, but I have to say a few things.

    He still had it.

He could sing and dance as spine-chillingly amazing as ever, it is just unbelievable that he was 50.

There is a lot of love and joy in this. You can see these little smiles on his face when he's performing. He's such a tease as well. And you see Michael the man, as well as the genius...how he has these instincts about the music and these sounds in his head....whoa. And his sense of humour is wonderful and so cute!

    You will all love it.

OK I have an exam to do.....

    Love to all

    xxx

I agree 100%. I thought they had the perfect mix of actual concert-like feel, and behind-the-scenes footage. I kept turning to my friend and whispering, "omg this is LIVE" because it sounds SO incredible. With great fitness, it's possible to keep up the dancing, but keeping a VOICE through your 50's is ASTOUNDING. He honestly sounded better than he did at the Bucharest Concert in '92 that I have on DVD. They also captured cute little moments where he just interacted with Kenny, or the dancers.

Most of all you could just tell that he was SO dedicated. He poured himself into this tour. It was pure magic.

  2. The interpretations of this song are reallylovely. I love the sleepy sad saturday morning feel to the song. However by a weird slip of my hearing I've kind of ruined my mojo for the song.

Every time I hear the line I'm busy in the blissful unaware

I HEAR "I'm busy in the peaceful underwear" Which makes me go

I even sing it that way. I realize it's wrong and makes no sense but I always end up singing it that wa when I sing along. XD I still love the song thoguh.

HA! This is great. I've always heard "peaceful underwear" even though I knew it was something else. I remember even when we just had the little 30 second iTunes preview clips before the album came out, I always heard "peaceful/blissful underwear". :naughty:

  3. ha. Thanks you guys. No problem. Yeah, i was pretty happy that they were favorable to him, cause many aren't :sneaky2:

And DarkAngel (sorry, I lurk around here enough I should really know everyone's names by now!) I like that quote that you shared. Gotta love it when other famous people can recognize and appreciate Mika's genius! :biggrin2:

  4. I was reading this cracked article on Freddie Mercury today (lots of... adult language, it IS a humor site after all - consider yourself warned) and at the end they compiled a chart of people who have been compared to Freddie Mercury. They included: why they've been compared, how they're similar, and a "verdict."

I thought Mika might pop up on the list, and, preparing for the worst, was actually happy with the comparison they gave him! I thought they'd rip him apart, but it's favorable comparison, without accusing him of being a Mercury copy cat.

Mika's an incredible artist in his own right, and while I know everyone gets a little tired of the comparison, it's still quite an honor to be even considered somewhat comparable to Mercury's magic!

So i just thought this was an interesting read. Here's a screenshot of the first part of that chart (Mika got the highest similarity rating (4 out of 5 mustaches :roftl:) out of everyone on the chart) I was was talking about.

    Enjoy!

  5. you guys have to check this out, so cute and :blush-anim-cl:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NHoz3szWUs

so, 1:40 "Michael, the platform in front of you drops don't so you don't wanna step off the stage"

    "Oh I know, I won't"

8:44 (Michael from the darkness) "uh...."

"Michael did you fall off the stage?"

    "yeah..."

    :roftl:

What's the URL for that one? Sounds cute :wub2:

Edit: nevermind. You added it. Thanks!

  6. Ok, I've noticed something but I don't know if it's appropiate to say (mods, feel free to delete). Judging from the new clip of I see you I think he has used part of the mellody and some lyrics as background from "I'm falling".It makes sense because it deals with the same subject, but of course I find I see you is more polished and mature. Have I said that I love this song?:wub2:

    Anyway, what do you think?

Definitely definitely. That's the first thing I noticed! I think it' spectacular - that way it's not lost! And I always thought the idea of "I See You," (especially after hearing him describe it on the radio interviews) is very similar to that glorious forbidden track. Love it! :thumb_yello:

  7. Okay, my thoughts aren't much different from the amazing praises and reviews that have already been offered, but I have watched it approximately 3.6 million times since (was it just yesterday?) it came out and just wanted to share one of my favorite moments:

The way he scrunches up his eyebrows form 1:44-1:46 when he sings, "I was a boy". LOVE that! :wub2: Seriously. The look of concern... idk something is just so genuine and... intimate about it. LOVE.

Also, does anyone else think that this must have been the most exhausting video in the history of modern music to make? I mean, you figure they had him mouthing the entire song in each of the different outfits/scenarios, and then just chose highlights to splice together. That PLUS all the swinging and jumping (and flexing:roftl: ) must have been quite the workout. Perhaps the rehearsals alone were enough to get in shape for the vid! :biggrin2:

  8. :aah: My MAC comp. won't let me play the vid. !!! :aah:

And the youtube isn't available in Australia !!!

    IT'S NOT FAAAAIIIRRRR !!!! :aah::crybaby:

I had the same problem until I downloaded the WMP components for Quicktime! Just download this and then make sure you have the latest version of quicktime and you should be golden. :naughty:

  9. I can't see it :tears: anyone can help??????

Me neither. I've got a Mac, and no Windows Media player (obviously) :sneaky2:. Does anyone know how I can watch it with Quicktime maybe? Or is this the only link available so far?

  10. Why? I LOVE THE ARTWORK!:wub2:

Well, it's not that I don't like it, it's just that it seems more... storybook than an actual commercial ALBUM. It reminds me a lot of the Billy Brown and Relax singles' artwork than the LICM cover. Not to say that he has to do anything mainstream (because let's face it, that's just not our boy's STYLE) but I would expect something different for the album artwork.

  11. Interesting reading!:thumb_yello:

Do you know if the audio recording actually is available somewhere?

I have no idea. I was looking for a link somewhere on that page but didn't see anything. All the comments on the article request the audio clip as well. Maybe just because it's so new? It was just posted on the 8th. I'll keep my eye out for it. :wink2:

  12. MJ was seriously a huge part of my life. I'm only 19, but I was a fan of his long before Mika came on the scene. I've been elaborately celebrating his birthday (it's just 11 days after Mika's) since I was like 15. He was an even bigger part of my life than Mika, I would say. So sad.

He influenced SO many people. Really - and he was a star in EVERY sense of the word. We'll never be able to track how many people, or aspects of people's lives he affected because his reach was nearly infinite.

    :tears::crybaby::tears:

  13. ooh boy I feel stupid. I live near SLC in the United States, so noon in London is 5 am here. I got the tweet around midnight last night, and then woke up super early - - only to be disappointed because the announcement actually says THURSDAY! :naughty: hahaha.

Anybody make that same mistake? :blush-anim-cl:

  14. Okay, so I heard somewhere earlier that the EP would be acoustic, and would precede the Album's release in September.

I guess my question is, is this article suggesting that:

    1) those 4 tracks won't be on the actual album?

    2) these are acoustic versions of songs that will be on the album

    3) these are just a bit of a preview and the same version of each song will be released on the album as well?
