I think it will be later. Like September.
Unfortunately, I agree. I doubt that if they reveal the release date in March it won't be for anytime before mid-Summer.
But I'd love to be proven wrong!

Awww, is it a year since SLC!!!
Of all the gigs I've been to, this is one I wish I had been at.
I love all the footage from it, it looked AWESOME!
Yeah... it really was awesome! I made a little picture to commemorate it.

TODAY is the one year anniversary of this, my ONLY Mika concert ever.
I wore all black to symbolize the lack of color in my world since he left. (How pathetic am I?)

I WENT to this concert! It was really incredible. Even with all the technical difficulties and standing in the sub-freezing temperatures for 3 hours - I KNEW this was going to be great.
It sounds cheesy to say, but really, I think this was a very special concert. I think that because of the difficulties (mainly the LACK OF EQUIPMENT) the whole band sort of had to join together - I love what Mika said about it too, that even though his insurance company would have preferred that he cancel the gig, he decided that he'd "have a little fun with it instead."
It was really electrical and magic feeling! When he came on stage - I don't think I've ever been more excited! haha. It was nice that he came to such a small place (around 2000 people) especially considering he did his huge stadium show to 55,000 people less than 5 months later!
But the BEST part of the whole night? His promise that he would "definitely be back to Salt Lake City!"

This is the version he did at the Salt Lake City gig that I went to, because the whole SHOW was acoustic. It's actually not my favorite version of the song, I prefer the one that's just him and a piano - SO fantastic. I actually got the sheet music for that one because I loved it so much - it's so fun to play and it's hauntingly, chillingly beautiful.

I think so - that's always been my interpretation (oh man - unintentional pun!) of it. Based on that line from AOW, the entire premise of Holy Johnny, and the fact that in Billy Brown he covers up his homosexuality with "religion, newly found" I tend to think that, although technically raised religious, he doesn't esteem organized religion very highly. Just my opinion.

Yeah, frankly I'm a little surprised that it's still saying Blu-Ray. I know the topic has been discussed at length on other threads so I'm not trying to reignite it, but the conclusion I had come to was that he would be a fool to not release it in standard DVD format as well... but i just thought it would be offering both by the time we got an AMAZON DESCRIPTION...

Did anyone else look up that band he mentioned? Fleet Foxes. I sorta liked the music at the beginning of the blog so I check them out on iTunes and I actually really liked them. Not JUST because Mika does, haha, but that certainly doesn't hurt.

Gah!! This is pathetic. It's been like... 4 days for me I guess, and I'm having major withdrawals. I do not approve of this drought. I guess I'm just spoiled, but I like waking up everyday (I'm in the US) and finding a new blog!
So sad.

Thanks so much, A. Clay! I actually used some software to digitally enhance the b&w picture so now hopefully i can print it without losing too much resolution. It's about 4 times bigger than the original, and still in pretty good shape! Yay!

Yeah, i just found out that my dad has a set of RAINBOW SUSPENDERS from the 70s that i'm DEFINITELY going to be wearing. Plus I have these white hightops with neon patterns of Robots and Rocket ships, they look like a chemical spill. I'm gonna be SO mikalicious tomorrow, my family won't know what him 'em.

So i need some help. I'm looking for a bigger version of either this picture
or this one
To blow up poster size for my apartment.
The first one I have is only 533 x 676 pixels, and that second one is even smaller! (344 x 400)
So does anyone have any BIGGER versions of either of these pictures? Or any other stunning pictures with really high pixel counts?
It would break my heart to have the poster distort Mika's beauty by making him grainy!

I'm looking to get a mika poster made for my new apartment, (anything THAT ridiculously good looking will go well with the rest of my decor
) The only problem is that the pictures I have are too small
I want either this one
or this one

Okay, I know there's still a lot to do after recording happens, but still, the news is WONDERFUL!! I'm excited about any positive news.
Also, when I hear news of release dates in September, I have to remind myself to not get too sad because usually you get at least one single released before the album comes out, so it can't be too long now! Yay!
