  1. I am not saying it should be allowed for gay couples. I also mentioned straight people who can't have children. Not everybody WANTS to adopt. And if they wish to have a child of their own then there should be an option to do that.

How is this more selfish than a couple choosing to get a baby the natural way? Shpuldn't we all adopt then if we want to have children?

Many people go to India to buy surrogacy while orphelina are full of babies and children in this country. If we want a child with sincerity, genes, gender, skin color shouldn't be a criterion.

  2. Do you know the woman? Were you there when they made the agreement? Who says the woman isn't a friend of Perez? You do realise many times these women are close to a couple or do it because they want to help. So I find it strange that you judge based on what you think this woman's situation is and consider this to be the way it must be in real life.

I find the fact that you judge so quickly rather disturbing when you have no idea how it went. You might not choose to do it, that doesn't mean other people shouldn't be allowed to choose this option if they want to. Many people are also against gay marriage and that doesn't make their opinion the truth.

Do you see report about surrogacy? I advice you to see several of it.

There is a different between co parenting: to agree with a woman to have a child with her without living as a couple, sharing the parental link, the mother is the mother, the father is the father homosexual or not.

  3. My position on gay men having babies is the same as my position on gay marriage. I don't think anyone should do either. The world is totally overpopulated and as long as divorce is an easy option marriage is a farce.

But since heterosexuals are continuing to overpopulate and get married/divorced then I could not care less if gay men do the same. As soon as heterosexual couples stop breeding like rabbits and decide that adopting unwanted babies is the only ethical way to become parents then I will say that's what gay wannabe parents should do.

Homosexual can adopt and be good parents, I'm not against that.

I'm against surrogacy for heterosexual and homosexual.

As a woman, I am outraged by the fact that we give more rights to couples straight or gay, as well as rich people who are desperate to have children, whereas women, even in developing countries the majority of them only have the right to vote, prostitution, rent their uterus or a lower-paying job than a man.

I am getting tired of this squabble that is that some are heterosexual child molesters, and other, homosexual perfect parents. This reminds me of stupid people who say that only straight people are good parents.

I don't think we should tolerate everything because people are irresponsible and selfish.

  4. Why would that be wrong? Many people who can't get children opt for this and if all is done legally, I see no reason to judge this as wrong and I seriously doubt that it will make the child see women as 'objects' because of this. If he is raised with love then what is there to worry about?

Perez and other persons heterosexual or homosexual who pay women to have a child, it cost near 100 000€, are rich people who thought that they could have everything because of their money. The women they pay are poor or modest, they have no work and no other choice.

If I can't have a child, rich or poor I never pay anybody to bear a child for me, and I'm not the only person in this world thinking like that, the international organisation for ealth is against these practices

  5. Why would that be wrong? Many people who can't get children opt for this and if all is done legally, I see no reason to judge this as wrong and I seriously doubt that it will make the child see women as 'objects' because of this. If he is raised with love then what is there to worry about?

In France it is not legal because it is a merchandising of the body. To bear a child during 9 months it is something special, this creates the biological and psychological links between the mother and the child. Deny this fact is to deny that women are beings with feelings, morale and thus treat them as objects. A child is not either an object or a right. The adoption is possible, there are a lot of children abandoned on this earth that would like to have loving parents.

:mikacool:

  9. LICM sold 1.200.000 copies and TBWKTM 350.000. But it's always been seen as exceptional in these times of crisis, so maybe 71.000 in 4 months isn't that bad :dunno:

I agree with Sephira about the tour not being promoted AT ALL, but it was sold out  This is good news :original: If he promotes a potential next tour better, he will be able to sell out large venues.

The crisis of the record industry was started several years ago and doesn't prevent artists to sell hundreds of thousands or millions of albums worldwide, but they have a big machine promotion behind them.

  10. That doesn't seem legitimate to me to issue a platinum certification based on 70% sales. At least not at this stage when there is no hit song and tour to propel sales at a rapid pace. I would imagine it's going to take longer to sell that final 30% than it did the first 30%.

Do you think that there wasn't enough promotion in France? Seems to be the go-to reason for everyone to blame poor sales on but I think it's a bit of a stretch in the case of France. I notice this person saying if more money was spent perhaps Mika's sales would have been doubled but how much more money can you spend to justify an additional 71,000 record sales? I remember being aghast in 1986 when my label spent $100,000 on a campaign for Bryan Adams just in Canada (whose album was also a flop compared to its predecessor). Do you know how much $100,000 was in 1986? It was 10 times my annual salary!! :aah: If you are only going to sell 70,000 copies you are going to lose money with that kind of investment.

I think if TOOL was released 18 months ago on the heels of EMD we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Anyway it's a real shame. I like this album a lot.

I remember that when I arrived at the station in September 2009, the station was covered with posters of the album cover TBWKTM, Mika was on the cover of lots of news papers and magazins, we saw Mika on really important tv shows and the 8:00 pm news. For TOOL,"Celebrate" even looped on the radio had no success, there were some small posters of the album in the subway lanes, no news papers and magazines covers, the Paris Match interview was never published, all press articles spoke of Mika's coming out and not of his album, he made few tv show and the majority of them are the least watched. There was no promotion for the tour, which has been criticized as "Mika made the Parc des Princes now he is reduced to the Casino de Paris". No reviews in Le Parisien of the two concert at the Casino de Paris.

It doesn't feel good for the future because Mika is gone for too long, he hasn't benefited from the success of "Elle me dit" in France and in the world to release his album, he remade his album and it was an unfortunate mistake.

  11. How I could read your posts Rose without internet on Wednesday? I don't follow you on Twitter, if I had to follow all Mika fans it's something to become mad :naughty:

I can't use 3G abroad on my phone because it costs 1€ per MB, it is really expensive. I need a free wifi connection. I could connect to the MFC in the evening after the BBC show when I went into a McDonald's.

Mika had already for some time now unfortunately voice problems, he just needs to rest in not forcing not on his vocal cords.

"Disrespectful" to see someone sick  in my culture you ask someone if he goes well or better when he is sick we don't let people sick at home alone without worrying of them. Mika is very polite and friendly, but if he doesn't want to see anyone he enter and comes directly out by making a small gesture to say hello and goodbye.

I would dig up the posts when I have a little more time but I remember to have read in several threads on MFC, that what Mika was doing before the third album when he was writing was "s***" . May be for you it is normal to say that when you don't love something but I always learn that it's bad to say something is s*** and say that you don't love that and if you want you could explain why :fisch:

  12. First Rose proposed to meet each other at The Union Chapel in the thread before the show, I was really surprise to see nobody there :dunno:

Second I arrived in London at 1pm, I had time to walk and go shopping to buy tea and a gift for my brother. I love London and I love to walk, rain or cold it doesn't stop me. I haven't waited for hours in the cold Mika because I know he can't arrive early :naughty:

I have a life, but if I can go to see Mika in a radio or tv show I go. I still have many things to do and friends to see who aren't necessarily fans of Mika but I always find time to go see him.

I don't mean by my criticism that there are fans and others who aren't, but that's pretty sad for an artist to have any of his fans living in Britain who has come to say hello. It isn't a matter of following him every where but this was something official, there could be a few of you as planned.

Finally I note that you can't stand criticism when you don't stop making disparaging criticism on the French fans, the fact that Mika done concerts in France, he speaks French at concerts in France and in countries that are francophone and he did songs in French :annoyed_h4h:

He has done more promotion in Britain for his album than in France, but you don't have to prevent you from saying the opposite, constantly blaming Mika

When Mika was currently working on his album and he did something else beside he received hateful tweets from fans :sneaky2: I prefer not to mention all the hateful comments that I read on MFC against him before his new album.

About the London concert, he did his job with a fragile voice and broken. I never saw Mika at ease on stage in London, I've seen him 6 times on stage there and he was always more or less stressed and uncomfortable.

  13. I love the song Un soleil mal luné, but I was a little shocked that in UK he start the show with this song and it made me laugh at the same time because I was sure that on MFC in this thread I will find comments on this topic :naughty:

Something shock me more, this is what I found the day before this gig. Lots of UK fans were in London, Mika was at The Union Chapel no one come to see him

Mika saw 3 French fans (I was one of them), the day before the gig at the artists entrance of the Union Chapel. We went to see Mika, say him hello and ask him if he was fine. When we arrived around 5pm we were the only fans. We waited and when Mika came out we were still 3 fans. Mika invited us to the BBC unless we have asked him nothing. When we returned to find our invitations we return to the entrance of the artists we haven't seen any fans of Mika wait and the exit after the show there was no British fans
