I found out today my mother has been in the hospital and she has probably had a stroke and has cancer.

I'm devastated.

Chris Martin from Coldplay is 35, Gwen Stefani is over 40, and let's not even get into how old Mick and gang are.

I have heard "Candy" on R1. It's currently sitting at #8. Maybe they don't play it a lot but they play it.

"Stardust" is the one I'd pick for a single.

I don't know what/if they will reply. I received a response that said they read them all but don't always respond. I like Robbie Williams, I do, but his single "Candy" is crap. Anything by Mika blows that song away. If RW has a place on R1, why not Mika.

I titled it - Request pls from a music aficionado

First of all, what you must know is that I know when a song will succeed or not.

First hear usually if it's really good (like Tainted Love). Trust me, I know my music. At 54, I'm still picking them and love pop music.

Here are my two picks for success: Ully Murs - Troublemaker (didn't need Flo)

and Mika - Stardust, Origin of Love, or Underwater

What's the difference? Why the hell aren't you playing Mika on Radio 1 and have him over on Radio 2? I don't listen to Radio 2, it's too mellow for me, but I do listen to Radio 1. Mika is so much better in those three songs than anything off Robbie's new album. Come on, his latest single is shyt. It's a kids rhyme.

Just saying, I don't know if you all are going all 'clear channel' lately (as in DJ's have no choice as to what to play and are forced to promote certain "artists" by management. Note: kei$ha, for example) but putting Mika on R2 is the wrong place for him. He's a R1 artist.

Might I remind you of the piece Grimmers did on his last CD???? That was great. His new release, The Origin of Love, is way better. Off "the Boy who.." , I really only liked Rain and We are Golden. Off his new one, I like almost all of them.

I'm writing of my own free will, just as a listener and as a Mika, and music lover.

If you want to get your record airplay you have to go after the music director and push, push, push. 99.9% of the dj's don't have any say over what they play. They play what they are told. The first step is even to get on the radar. When I'm listening to R1 and they have a request time, I usually request Mika. They never play him, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop requesting him. Pretty wack, especially as Nick Grimshaw did that big show/interview with him for the last album. Also... don't forget the cd just came out. It's going to take awhile to get to the right ears. I'm sure "Stardust' would be a big dance floor hit.

There is nothing like a Mika concert. I'm torn between wanting to keep him a secret/small here in the US and wanting him to win worldwide domination!

This was me, @saracsit, that they RT'd. The only reason I missed your concerts this time in the US is that I have fallen far from driving a Lexus and making close to 6 figures a year to having no cashola. Next time, next time... I have a goal now.

I got to help big the Big Girls for the show, which made for some very happy women in line. I'm still waiting on my CD. When did you order yours?

Have fun tonight! I hope Chicago gives him a warm welcome. There must be some record companies/radio stations or something, otherwise, why Chicago? Tour bus driving xcountry and a good place to stop?

Alright. How many of you in line, in the rain, have an absolutely huge, what I respectfully call, a huge ass grin!! on your face?
