  1. I think that the problem happened where the real queue ended because there was a huge mess and people were arguing.

Because they said, already in the morning, that they would hand out bracelets.

For the 50-60 first ones it went perfectly fine.

I arrived at 9:45 am or something and I was number 36. I was kinda reassured.

Most of the people were really lovely and kind. Sadly there were some exceptions

Actually it was a funny day for me, waiting wasn't long at all and I actually had a lot of fun.  :)

As we were allowed to enter the store I started feeling REALLY nervous. When it was almost my turn I couldn't stop trembling. rougis.gif

When it was my turn I was almost speachless. After so many years I could finally talk to him and get my picture. As he smiled at me and talked to me I felt so happy, that's unbelievable. He took my present and was really lovely. For me it was marvelous, perfect.

    Here's a short video:

Afterwards I saw Mika trying to sign as many autographs as he could before leaving that was really sweet.

I got my shoes signed I still can't believe it.

I gave a signed poster to a boy who didn't get an autograph and he was happy, so I was happy, too.  :)

Your shoes are sooooo great! I am so very happy for you

  2. I only arrived around 5:15 PM because I had to work before. In fact I went there with the thought that probably I would not be one of the 100 lucky ones, but at least I would try. When I saw the queue I was rather sure it wouldn't work out, but I gave it a try. I didn't know that there were VIP's who were let in first, I only thought that there was hardly any movement. As I was quite at the end of the queue I could't really see people entering and coming out, but as we didn't move forward for half an hour, I got more and more sure that I would never get in. At a certain moment everything went quicker and I hoped I would get a chance, but then I saw that his car was back and then I knew he would have to leave. He signed some boxes outside, but when I was as close as I could get he stepped into the car and left.

I don't regret that I've been there. I have seen him from far with his friendly smile ... and I have the Swatch ... maybe I will get a signature later.

I hope that everyone who has queued already in the morning got in ... and I was very happy for that young girl next to me that she has got her autograph.

  3. Hello everybody. I am afraid I will have to break the negativity, because I thought this gig was pretty amazing, just like Amsterdam the night before. Both very different, but I do not see how people can say that he did not give off enough energy when he was basically having spasm attacks on stage when he did his crazy dancing. In Brussels we turned up at around 5 and we still got First/second row but there was an old lady in front of me who did not give two ####s about the show so that doesn't count. His voice was good, he hit all the notes but no, it wasn't in perfect condition. That is probably why he did not talk much after the show in Amsterdam. Anyway, I am certain he did not mime as suggested above. Instead, when he felt like he couldn't hit the right notes, he let the audience do it. Problem solved.

He did a ridiculously long set again and he was full of energy and fun the entire night. I thought the crowd in Brussels was great apart from the old lady in front of me who has being a total hater because my bag touched her. Apart from that, the only atmosphere I felt was a good one that was filled with fun. Everybody has their own views about how things went of course but it feels like some of us weren't at the same gig, I suppose.

Anyway, I am very excited for Luxembourg tomorrow.

Well, like I said, maybe it was just in my mind.

I'm glad most people enjoyed it ... and probably I will love the next gig again

  4. I saw your comment on twitter and was afraid that the gig was a complet disaster for you. Happy to know that you could enjoy some parts of it however.

I think that the gig schedule is quite hard for Mika's voice. He must preserve it to be able to go on touring: he has 23 dates in one month! In other hand, I think his voice is sometimes even better than before: it's more espressive as he has to replace some higher notes by lower ones. Especially in this recording of Ordinary man you can here how powerful and beautiful his voice can be and there aren't any really high notes in it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzd1OfVsb7c.

Well, I have been to Lille as well and there I liked it much more. Indeed, his voice is changing, but that's not the point, I like this. Yesterday I had the impression that he playbacked certain parts and that it was not well done ... I can't describe. I also felt much less energy yesterday than I did sunday in Lille where he was joking a lot and where everything was more interactive and fun. But it can be just my feeling.

When singing Underwater without "ears" his voice was great, he sang really good ... no doubt about is talent at all! But in my eyes the "global performance" of yesterday was much weaker than it usually is ... but that's just a personal opinion.

  5. Since the first Mika show I ever saw, 6 years ago in Brussels with Jim Mobile, I am a loyal and huge fan. Within the last 6 years I have visitied +/- 20 gigs and what I really love about it is the energy he spreads every time.

So I ordered my tickets for the show in Forest National via de presales link of MFC. To collect my tickets I had to be at the box office as from 7 PM ... which I find a bit strange: I pre-order tickets and can only collect them last minute ... while people who bought their tickets via Sherpa can simply print them and queue when they want to. Well, however ...

First the good things: I really love the stage decoration, all the playfull elements (good job, Joost Smits! ;-) )

There was a very good mix of older songs and new songs ... although I don't like all of his new songs.

He played my favorite of the new CD: Good Guys ... as well as my all time favorite: Happy Ending.

I don't remember the entire setlist.

During Underwater his "ears" didn't work anymore, so he sang without ... and that was really great!

However, I found his musical performance much weaker than usually ... and I felt less energy than I usually feel.

All comments I read so far are very positive, so maybe I am the only one who felt that ...

What I really loved was the end: He told about a guy, Joost Smits, who helped him to design the stage decoration "while driniking several bottles of wine in his kitchen in London" ... the only thing that guy asked was to play an instrument on a stage, so he gave him his five minutes of fame ... so that guy came on stage and performed Lollipop with him ... I absolutely loved that!

After the show, when leaving the venue, I saw a black-haired woman with a white dress and a photo camera on the stairs to the inner circle ... I thought it was his mom. Did anyone else see her there?

  6. I honestly highly doubt 30,000 people entered this competition, but I might be wrong of course:mf_rosetinted:.

I guessed something like 5500 and some of my friends entered answers between 3000 and 5000, none of us won.

I guess there could have been some 20000 to 30000, as I think that many fans have asked friends to participate to increase their chances.

Anyway, I and all my friends received a mail that we didn't win.

  7. This is so true! At first I put myself at the end of the line because I didn't really 'want' anything. Except for a picture but I never thought he would do it. So it was a surprise he did it anyway. I waited at the end of the line, until at a moment he was surrounded by people and simply couldn't move anymore :sneaky2: And then I heard that they wanted to end. It felt so unfair for people at the back!! Although I managed to get my picture, the moment was so chaotic. I saw flashes but even don't know where that came from. A girl took a picture with her phone and send it to me (thank you!!!) but it's a bit blurry.

Everything is better than nothing but I hope somebody has a picture of Mika & me, accidently of course but... you never know somebody took a picture of Mika the moment I stood next to him. I had a flashy blue coat (I attached the picture that I do have)

Show was really nice and so funny, after all it was worth the 2 x 2,5 hours drive

Hi, I looked through my pictures, but unfortunately don't have one with you on it, sorry

  8. Hi!

Yeah you're right about that. Patricia was getting everyone in line which worked great at first. But there were (ofcourse like always) people getting to stand in front of others.

I feel sorry for you net getting the chance to give your present to Mika!:huglove:

What did you want to give him?

I brought some Belgian chocolate for him (we came especially from Belgium, 3 hours driving, one way) ... in fact I am not really sad for myself (I had a M&G with him in November, so I am still happy with that), but I just don't like the way some people are pushing, that is just selfish and gives a bad feeling to those who don't push ... and there were people who looked really sad because they didn't push either and didn't get the chance to get an autograph.

  9. It was a nice show and great that Mika remained on stage all the time!

The only thing that I don't feel so good about is that afterwards, when Mika came outside, there were people who were really pushy ... while others (like me, and also a girl who was standing even behind me) were nicely waiting for their chances to get a signature or to give him a present but simply didn't get the chance because we didn't push

  10. If you can find a Dutchie who is willing to order your ticket and pay in advance and who is willing to lent you her/his adress it is possible (sorry, I can't do that, am very tight in the money at the moment).

I don't see the problem in transferring the money from a Belgian account ... with IBAN that should not be a problem! I will try anyway! I will keep you posted

  11. It's a 30 minutes drive from Amsterdam. Don't know how long it will take by train.

But be aware: To order tickets you have to be a member of the broadcaster VARA. And it is not possible to become a member when living abroad.

I will try nevertheless ... saw that non-members can order tickets, but at a higher price ... but indeed, in that price the membership is included.

I will phone on monday and see what they say.

  13. Maybe we can organize some kind of carpool from Belgium??

I'd love to go, don't mind to go by car to Almere but it's a long drive to do alone.

    mamaake?? SonjaD?

If someone can pick me up somewhere at a station I'm in (IF I still get a ticket on monday) and of course, I participate in the fuel cost. Nice idea to be with several people from Belgium.
