  1. My first concert was Bush with opening act Veruca Salt, I was 16. I was actually kinda scared because I had a general admission floor ticket and at a Bush concert that can mean a mosh pit. It wasn't too bad though :thumb_yello:...just had to watch out for the crowd surfers and make sure the people who thought it was a good idea to smoke didn't set me on fire

  2. Well, he's very tall. Isn't that a bit of a problem for tennis? :boxed:

Not necessarily, actually it's often said that it's a tougher sport for short people. The taller players usually tend to have a serve that is hard to return and they also serve many aces, which gets annoying :naughty: There are professional players taller than Mika...to me they look a bit awkward out there on the tennis court :blush-anim-cl:

  3. Just curious...was Mika the only artist to perform at this award show or were there others

And about Mika and tennis...I remember last September when I first checked out Mika's twitter page and read through his old tweets I saw where he once mentioned that he was going to play tennis. I seem to remember him saying that he wasn't very good at it :biggrin2:

  4. Was the book better, at least? 'Cause I'm thinkng about adding it to my reading list. :lol3:

I was in a similar situation before. I LOATHED "Up" and fell asleep in it.

    Everyone else LOVED that movie.

The book was alright as was it's sequel "The Wedding". I guess maybe I prefer books rather than movies since I can read a book over time while I have a hard time focusing on a movie for a couple hours. I can't even make it through a 1 hour TV show...I end up muting the TV and watching Mika performances on youtube :teehee:

  5. My mom got me "The Notebook" last week, but I have yet to watch it.

All of the female friends that I've asked say it's really good, and also sad.

It seems popular/good enough, so maybe I'll watch it later. :bleh:

Have any of you seen it?

    Thoughts?

    :pinkbow:

I read the book some time ago and watched the movie last year. I thought the movie was boring and I had a hard time staying awake, but that was most likely because I was watching it when I should have been sleeping instead :teehee: Most people seem to love it though, so I think there is just something wrong with me :roftl:

  6. Anybody in their mid twenties to lower thirties (I'm feeling old, getting close to the dreaded 30 :crybaby: ) wanna be my pen pal :biggrin2: Possibly somebody outside the USA (since that's where I'm from) and someplace other than Asia (only because I already exchange mail with somebody in Asia that sends me lots of cool little Asian things) :glasses2: I had several pen pals as a kid (all from North America) but sadly I don't keep in touch with any of them anymore :emot-sad:

  7. getting lost (I have never been lost in my life, but I am always terrified that I will be.)

I have a fear of getting lost too...like in an unfamiliar building I'm afraid that I won't find my way back out. When I was in college I usually had to enter and leave a building through the same door every time (even if it meant walking through like a foot of snow :aah: ). If I approached the building from a different direction I'd have to go around to to that familiar door. The one time I played laser tag I was so scared that when the game ended I wouldn't be able to find the exit and that I would be trapped in there alone in the dark

  8. I have a fear of answering and having to call people on the phone. I absolutely hate it. :aah:

I always beg my mom to do it.

I hate answering and making phone calls too...it makes me sooooo nervous :aah:

I also have a major fear of spiders even small ones...I practically feel sick whenever I see one in my apartment  The first summer that I lived here there were so many spiders and crickets in the apartment (I was so glad that this past summer wasn't like that). I was constantly looking for them because I was so freaked out and much too often I would see one. I'm too scared to kill them with a tissue, I don't want to get that close so I use what I call my "killer baton" which is one of those batons that you twirl and do routines with. It works rather well except when the spiders are too quick and I have to chase them around (and then I'm a wreck if they get away and then I can't find them :blush-anim-cl: ).

Really I hate all bugs, like when flies get in the apartment...they are so annoying. It happens a lot in the fall when the weather starts getting cold, the flies all find their way in :mad3: If I see one in another room, I'll close myself in my room to try and keep them out.
