  1. There was no support act, it started shortly after 10 pm and lasted about 1.45 h. it was a very long set, he sang 20 songs!

He must have been tired, but you couldn't really tell, he did his best to offer a superb gig; he clearly loves Italy, and especially Rome; he made us sing and clap A LOT.

The crowd was very responsive, ready to follow him and have fun, danced and jumped, especially during Celebrate, EMD and Love Today.

We also had a fantastic choir, they were really good! Mika had an excellent idea!

I loved all the songs, the old ones as well, he added many new intros and extensions, in order to make us sing more.

The new arrangements are fantastic, the new songs are superb and irresistible live, Stardust is sung so beautifully that it hurts, I can't tell how much I like Origin of Love and Popular; Happy Ending, Underwater, Rain, LYWID, Celebrate (with the slow intro) are so touching.

Yes I completely agree with the Stardust statement. It was the most beautiful song of the night I think. I like it on the album, but God, the acoustic piano-voice version is gorgeous :blush-anim-cl: Almost cried !

I'm glad you like the choir :huglove:. I was unsure that you could hear our voices, it seemed to be very noisy already

brava! You beat me to that.

Valerria prepared a book with pictures of our towns we had sent her, and a short description for each town, strictly in ITALIAN! :naughty:

he has to practise his Italian, hasn't he :shun:

this is Pilgrim Mika wandering through Italy and visiting all our beautiful spots...

I love it soooo much. That's super cool. I love the way he laughed when he saw it. So good to have a vid to remember that :thumb_yello:

  2. Hey guys,

Sorry for the late notice but with all this secrecy thing, it's hard to prepare in advance... I won a pass for Mika's gig tonight for Arthur's day and since my friends turned off the offer (yeah, yeah I know : crazy guys ) I have one (maybe two) place for the show, so if anyone is interested, text me +353.894.747.909 :wink2:

I don't want to waste them as I know what it would represent for me.

(ps: I posted this too on the Ireland Arthur's day thread )

Sorry, don't have them anymore :-(

  4. I do love the three songs but I voted for Karen because it is the right mix between melody and energy... I just love the way it goes from the melody to the drums where you wanna jump, danse and clap your hands... :mf_lustslow:

"Elle me dit" is more a Summer song for me and "Blame it on the Weather" deserved to be heard completed, with more instruments behind, more chords and voices/chorus ... but I already love it :wub2:

  5. GUYS !

Guitar tabs ? ANY SONG ? I;m desperate :teehee:

For those who are looking for sheets of music, here's a French website, pretty well done and FREE :mf_lustslow:

    http://www.boiteachansons.net/Artistes/Mika.php

You'll find easy tabs and chords for guitar, piano... for 9 MIKA's songs :

B Brown, G Kelly, H Ending, Lollipop, L Today, My Int, Relax, SITM, WAG

You can even chose the key you like!!! :thumb_yello:

There are many other songs from many different artists.

For those who have pb using the website (because of the French words), ask me and I'll try to help you by linking a direct link for instance (if no answer soon enough, PM me 'cause I won't go to check this thread pretty often) :wink2:

  6. Report from yesterday.

So, after a long trip on Friday eve and night I arrived in Compiegne and went to sleep directly, predicting a very long day on Sat. And it could not have been more true !!!

Arrived for the queue at 6: 00 AM and was number 70 on the list :boxed:. It actually begins at 2 AM, and at 3 AM, 35 people were already waiting. For 3-4 hours in the morning, it was raining and since the street was in paving stones, it was pretty incomfortable.

A second list (after the first 100) was started in case the organization would allow more people. During the time, I met many really nice people and the waiting wasn't that long till 3:30 - 4 PM. At this moment, some wanted to united the fans on the list in a row. Asap we start moving, all the other persons stand and it was impossible to sit after that. Worse, the people arriving to queue after, just stand next to our queue (which were not delimited in a space !!!) So I let you imagine the mess !!!

The rehearsal of Mika started pretty late around 5:30 -6 PM till 7 PM, while the doors should have opened at 6 PM. We then stay standing for hours and everyone was beginning to complain and to boo the security who let us stay there, looking at us but not doing anything. When they open the 3 doors at the same time (so the list didn't work at all : Sooooooo angry because I only left the queue twice and was in front of the barrier all day long until I was told to wait behind !!! :sneaky2: ). Anyway, everyone went crasy and we were push from every side and had to push back to keep our position.

The security at the doors didn't even check the bags... It was soooo messy : never ever seen this !!!

You then understand that I stand at the 2nd row but so far away from the middle of the stage. Was frustated.

Then, first part starts : god, it was 3 DJs one after the other and at the end, a "singer" came on stage to sing : it was a nightmare. I usually respect each style... but THAT was too much. After 10 mins, everyone was waving at him to make him understood we wanted him to leave, then he was booed and hissed, and the crowd started calling Mika, Mika Mika... So he left, despaired but us alleviate !

    Then Mika's part.

The stage was absolutely lovely, with paintings and the chandeliers ... and the musicians and singers were all dressed gorgeously.

Then beginning of Relax and the appearance of MIIIIIIKKKKAAAAA!! So good to see him : he was really beautiful, all in a golden white. During the show, the "girls" removed parts of their dress, they were soooooo sexy sweatdrop::drool:. they were 4 other girls behind on strings

The list of the songs was pretty usual : Relax, BG, SITM...

On Billy Brown many waved the Pom-poms and Mika seems pretty please with that. First new song was 82 rue des martyrs : really good songs. They are good way to dance on this one. The musicians made a mistake at the beginning of Rain : they started playing Relax, so Mika stop them and everyone laughed. I don't know if it was predicted or not, but Mika did not introduce his musicians and singers before Happy Ending and during the show.

WAG rocks our socks and Cherisse ended it with sooo much energy : everyone was impressed. As usual, they all came back on stage for 2 others songs : the first was the new song from the 3rd album. I've seen people calling it Blame in on the weather. I'd prefer "Stormy weather" or "You could be the thunder" to differ from BIOTG but anyway : the duet with Ida was really lovely and I think the song as a really good potential. Then Lollipop

Then we called him back because the show lasted only 1hour 30 so, we wanted more... But they just left like this even people called a lot and stayed long.

I do love Mika but this was disappointing : all day long, the long travel (people came from Spain, Swiss, US...), the price of the show (50€) for 1h30

    was rude !

After, each part of my body ached soooo much I didn't wait for the "M&G"

    Assessment : ambivalent

  7. @Edoclaire : I`m so sorry...but well...my english isn`t so good and I`m awful in finding my way threw sites I dont know^^

sooo could you tell me how thats working?:blush-anim-cl:

Ok we'll put info here too. I mean, it's your idea and you should be the head of it. I just thought it was such a good idea that we should start sharing it as soon as possible. :wub2:

I thought we could wait till the end of May to let people join and then start sharing the work so that in June/July, it could be ready

What do you think ? :blush-anim-cl:

PS : I have not put your post here 'cause it's yours and I would never allow myself to make it look like mine. So you can copy and paste it here
