  1. Hey! I did the translation of Neon Magazine, I didn't have a lot of time so I guess I've made some mistakes, feel free to correct me  :wink2:

What thing do you prefer about you?

My adaptability. I’m the result of the mix of many cultures, thanks to that I can be in many different situations without being awkward. I’ve gained this chameleon side despite myself with moving. Instead of suffering from it, I’ve made it an advantage.

One of our journalists posed nude. Could you do it?

If it isn’t porn, yes. I’m quite modest and shy. When I go to a party, I don’t talk to anyone, except if I’m dead drunk. I don’t go out often, but I drink a lot (laughs) Yet, when I’ve the possibility to break away from this normal life, I do things I’d never do usually : wearing extravagant clothes, dancing, undressing… It’s not the person who makes awkwardness but the context/situation does.

We interviewed the NoFap people. Those people forbid/refuse masturbation, it’s a real discipline of life…

Ooh! I’m not at all as disciplined as them! I’ve never counted how long I can hold without masturbating but I won’t be as good as them! Far from it!

What do you think about the spying/intelligence bill which would allow the French State to get personal and private information?

I’m totally against it. It’s a quiet war. We don’t realize how much those details, collected together, the all of it, can be extremely powerful. We can build a sociologic model, predict trends,… What we shouldn’t do with a population! Everyone thinks his own little life doesn’t interest these services, that we are nothing on a global scale. But this droplet is a part of a huge wave. And this wave is very dangerous.

We interviewed some prison guards. They told us their difficulties of their job in society…

It’s very sad for them but I’m not surprised. I think everyone becomes aware of the limits of the traditional prison system. Putting people in prison doesn’t protect us. It doesn’t heal neither. However, there are some effective systems: in Norway, they work on the prisoner psychology, they rather help them, accompanying them than the punishment itself. This shade of difference is probably felt by the prison guards and their way to live their job.

Do you consider our generation is happier than the one's of our parents?

Yes, it’s funny because it’s a thing I often say. We haven’t known an economic boom and we will never know one. We don't have many things we can take for granted. So, we have to fight for it. And we are proud of it. We aren’t an indifferent/blasé generation, we are impressive/stunning. I do believe in this adage : less choices, more joy. During the economic crisis, I was in Royal College of Music, in UK. The next year, I was told the entries in art schools were multiplied by three. All these people who saw there was no longer opportunities in classic careers, in bank or others, decided to listen their artistic flair. It’s surprising.

How do you discover new artists?

With all this mass of music on Internet I think only one thing can help you differentiate: the artist identity. Does his/her music stick to his personality? Does what he/she says in itw is coherent with the music he/she makes? I think the musical credibility doesn’t end at the notes, it’s a whole. And it’s a point of reference for listeners.

Do you have websites to recommend?

I used to listen Radio 1 but lately I like only half of the playlist. The other half is a bit too fashionable/trendy. Otherwise, I suggest you Pandora, I find it well designed. Except the ads which piss me off.

Is your hypochondria getting worse now with Internet?

Totally! I spend my life on WebMD. One day, I woke up with a dry nose. I had a bit of blood in my nostrils and a burning sensation. I searched “I feel my nose burning” : I would die  this instant because of a brain tumor. The next day, I harassed my doctor and forced him to make me do two brain scanners. Obviously, I had nothing I just took plane a lot in the last few days… But, I could have one (a brain tumor) one day, I have to be careful!

  2. So here's my report!

Wednesday, I received a call from NRJ to tell me that I had won a meeting with Mika on the afternoon before the concert. I didn't have the chance to see his show at Toulouse in 2010, so it was my first hometown gig and I was sooo excited. I went to school from 8am to 1pm and I met Virginie (Melgine) and Leila (lyli21) in front of the Halle aux Grains. We chatted a bit then we went to the NRJ interview. They let us enter at 4pm, the presenter was ready to interview Mika at 5pm but Mika was late and arrived at 6pm. He came upstairs and started the interview. Then the security told me it was my turn for the meeting and I & my sis have to go upstairs. I took my bag and went upstairs shaking. He was here, drinking a juice and stared at me. I didn't know how to react as he gave a kiss to the first girl who went upstairs BUT SHOOK THE HAND of her friend. I came a lil closer to kiss him but he didn't understand then he saw that, he wanted to kiss but I had already moved back. He came again and as I dind't react he kissed my hat... yeah my hat :aah: . We talked a bit, well I shouldn't write 'we' my sis and him talked then all the winners came upstairs. He signed a lot of things whose my diary. I asked him when does the Underwater video will be out and he answered me at the begining of next week and my sis asked a few things a bit less important as "But Mika how much names has your dog ? " he answered with a big smile "Oh well a lot :aah: ! Melachi, Mel, La sorcière, The Witch and Moo! Yes Moo!" or " What do you think of Toulouse ? Do you like it ? OOOOOH Where have you bought this coat ? I love it that's so class Mika! " Okay haha. He might have liked this questions because he asked to Ian (don't sure) we should do the interview, Virginie, my sis and I!

I have my first pic with him now !viewer.php?id=226397IMG20121120190646.jpg

Show time : He started with Un Soleil Mal Luné and did almost the same set list that Marseille. He talked a lot about what happens in Syria before singing Any Other World.

The audience was not very enthusiastic, and stayed sitting down more than the 3/4 of the gig... Only a few fans stayed standing...

Then at Stardust Mika asked us to sit down, and Virginie didn't sit at the right place so I was there front row at the center with no seat anymore the only one who was standing  AWKWARD. Mika was waiting to start Stardust so I panicked and I sat down on my sister knees and asked Virginie to move. He stared at us and laughed when Virginie said "Oh ****!" :aah: .

The choir was really brilliant :thumb_yello:

    The show ended with WAG.

After show : He came out approximately at 00:40 and signed again some stuffs, he signed my headphones and we said goodbye before leaving.

  3. Please, can someone tell me which place in the charts in France is EMD right now?

    EMD is n°19 in the Top50 .

Last week, I went to Doriand's gig in Toulouse. He's the co-writter/composer of EMD and I've a little video for you. :aah:

Doriand singing EMD. Sorry , we hear most my sis than Doriand but she didn't want to shut up! :sneaky2:

  4. Okay, i need to post in this thread !

Last week, in the underground i heard young people who used to listen rap music talked about EMD, so i moved to be closer to them and hear their conversations. The first said " Oh the last hit of Mika damn that ROOOOOCKS ! ", the second boy answers : " Oh yeah ! I love it ! And Mika is a good man you know why ? He comes from to Morocco ! " and an other guy said " But no ! He comes from to Algeria ! " and the best guy who is the fan number 1 " WHAAAAAAAAT ?! You are all loosing your mind dude ! I'm a HUGE fan and i know he's an albino from Cameroon ! "

    Ermmmm, LMFAO ! :shocked::roftl:

  5. Thank for the pics and the videos even if i can't hear the sound it's too hard for me to hear " Miikaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i love youuuuuuuuuu ".

However, i've just watching Blame It On The Weather , and i think the girls who scream are not really fans. They doesn't know Ida and they say : " Ouhlala elle est pas mal! Elle s'apelle comment ? c'est ta copine? " ( in English : " Ouhlala she is not bad ! What is her name ? It's your girlfriend ? )

Now i'm listening to Elle Me Dit and we don't hear they know the lyrics . . .

So maybe , they were drunk and made fun of Mika & his fans ?

Anyway i think it was unpleasant for Mika to have this girls in front of him !

I love the shoes with this outfit ! :aah:

  6. YKYAMF When you have a terrible argument with your English teacher when she says " NO ! No Mika isn't English or American , he just sing in English and i know he doesn't speak English very well. I know everything about him, he was born in the West countries of Europe . He asked a few times the American nationality but it was always refused. "

And the best for the end , a pupil : " and i think he lives in Belgium !" :naughty:

Haha my friends screamed : " You must believe Sixtine, she is a Mika fan " :aah:

Unfortunately my teacher didn't believe me .
