aaaggghhh it's awful when u just can't agree a date and time. and i'm not sure if u should be jealous of my town's fans club. i mean, we're 12 on the fb group, but we've never been more than 4 on the meetings . i've been about to give up on the thing, but wel, i founded the fansclub and if I don't do it, then it'll die >.<

Okay, my friends and I have had plans rescheduled like 6 different times to do the same thing. It's time to give up.

Obviously this part is a mixed up one, and one has to consider it has to match with the music etc...but I can go further in my subtle analisys

 

- padre nostro = our father. Mika said this part mocks the prayers he was obliged to say when a child, and this is the incipit of the most common one.

 

- deus is latin anyway.

 

- dio è madre = god is mother. When the pope mentioned that god is mother and not only father, he clearly did not want to assume that god is bisexual but that god is capable of the same tenderness a woman is. Probably he also wanted to raise the feminine to a higher level....

Mika is using this statement for his own personal goal

 

- machismo. This word is not Italian but is commonly used in Italy as well with its original meaning.

 

- dio, sesso, santo spirito = god, sex, holy spirit. The holy spirit in the Catholic trinity is the entity which keeps Father (god) and Son (Christ) bonded in love and the one who got the Virgin pregnant. Matching it with sex is another Mika's clever sentence.

I don't know if all this is behind Mika's choice of words, but I think it's something more than a simple mix-up.

I'm actually glad he's got this new image. Those popstars who "don't grow up" end up looking, and sounding rediculous.

Mika is so wise. He knows that, at 29 years old, he has to update his image and his music. No more teenage dreams in a teenage circus, instead of that, he presents mature love songs and a grown-up image.

All male pop stars have to face the transition, from boys to men, eventually. Even Bieber will eventually. It's how they handle the transition which determines whether they last, stop being popstars and become icons. I think Mika is deffinately doing it right.

i'm sure that this will be the first of a lot of changes that Mika'll have in the next 234234 years Pop stars last only if they are able to make transitions

Rock the Games: Live on YouTube

 

London 2012 isn’t just about athletic and sporting excellence, it’s also about showcasing the best that the United Kingdom has to offer -- a fact not lost on the Organising Committee, LOCOG. In that spirit they have launched the ‘Rock the Games’ programme, which sees artists perform in venues throughout the Olympics.

 

In addition, the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) will be live streaming selected artists on their official London 2012 YouTube channel as part of the ‘Rock the Games’ music programme.

 

Rock the Games will feature live performances and interviews with artists performing in London 2012 venues. The YouTube community in the UK and US will have the chance to ask questions and watch some of the artists perform a song or two. The series will be hosted by presenter Gemma Cairney.

 

The series kicks off on Tuesday, August 7, with Rizzle Kicks (#askrizzlekicks) and Lawson (#asklawson), and will continue with artists including Mika (#askmika) and Pixie Lott (#askpixie). The full schedule of performances can be found on the London 2012 YouTube channel and updates will be provided on the London 2012 Google+ page.
