    Ok so.... Is this seriously for what Ive been waiting for?! I mean it isnt horrible it is kinda good but its just under my expectations :shocked: Mika being so excited for this one made me beleive it was going to be incredible! The song is great tho but rhe video is too fake, however ilike the underwater part, the rest is just a little boring WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO HERE MIKA?! :doh:

    Grace Kelly was popular because it was on every radio station in the UK so it shot to #1 a week after it was released. He had been touted as BBC's Sound of 2007. There was tons and tons of hype. The first time I heard GK I was paying close attention because the DJ was going on and on about how Mika was the second coming of Freddie Mercury, etc. before he played the track on London's #1 pop radio station at that time.

     

    You know there could be a million factors to explain why Mika is having difficulty promoting right now. Poor choice of single, not enough backing from the record company, etc., etc.

     

    But it still comes down to one thing IMO and that is disappearing and waiting too long between albums. If he had retained that audience of millions of people who bought LICM he wouldn't need to win them back. He wouldn't need TV adverts to remind them that he's still alive. He wouldn't need a strong single because people would give the album a listen based on the strength of his previous songs. Happy Ending came out in late 2007 and was still being played on popular radio stations in the UK. If he'd had another single in early 2008 it would have been played as well whether it was WAG or Celebrate or whatever. He would have just been able to continue riding that wave that started in 2007. Just like Rihanna and Katy Perry and Justin Bieber and all these other pop stars with less talent who keep it going all the time.

     

    He is starting over from scratch every time and every time he is going to lose a little bit more of that core audience and will need more and more resources to try to win them back.

     

    :thumb_yello: agree! He cant just disappear, come back out of the blue and hope to make an album popular, top the charts, or even just sell an appropiate amount of albums. Hes starting from scratch every time and without the right promotion he wont go anywhere! Its sad cause i love this album so much and i think its the one that has more potential to be famous, and without touring in 2013 i dont know what may happen with the sells! Its just all too odd, but yeah i think we should trust Mika this time! Crossing my fingers!

    He is such a sweet popstar :wub2: I was in the choir too! Everyone knows I'm not a good singer but they needed one more member and Tim said "it will be fine don't worry" and I promised to do my best dancing and opening my mouth :teehee: I always thought Tim is gorgeous but he is really nice and sweet too and the whole band was incredibly kind. And we did a little bit rehearsing and suddenly Mika was there, wearing jeans and a blue sweater and with sleepy hair (:wub2:) and not shaved (:wub2:) and I thought oh well yes it's worth it. And a bit later he told me to go closer to the microphone and I did a hand move explaining my missing talent and suddenly he realized my point and laughed so much (:wub2:) and it was so totally worth it.

     

    Everyone in the choir was really nice and we had a lot fun and I did my best dancing etc even I wasn't sure what to do. Eight songs!!! We were also on stage during Toy Boy even it wasn't a choir song and I could just stare him and sigh, it was lovely (:wub2:) Afterwards he forgot us but Mama P had told him the choir is still there and he came in and joked with us for a while and signed and took individual pics, and we all got lovely pics except I closed my eyes when he put his arm around me but he was smiling in a lovely way (:swoon:) so I'm so pleased. We took another pic and he is staring at the camera and I look bored, but still, it's my first individual pic with Mika!!!!! How cool is that?! And he knew my name!!!! At least I think he mentioned it (and I wasn't sure he can remember names, so it warmed my heart).

     

    I have all our photos in my camera but I can't see the emails (I took a photo of them) but don't worry, I will find out and I will send everyone their pics. Will do it tomorrow, my plane is leaving soon and I'm leaving to the airport in on hour (and I need to pack etc).

     

    What a wonderful night, thanks to everyone for being so kind! We met Mama P and she was so super sweet and kind as always and gave some good advices and the crew was fab as always. The gig was hard to Mika, but I hope there were some other reasons than the bad choir too. The audience was great, imo.

     

    This is the end of this little fangirl report. I'm really tired and I don't have any time to sleep.

     

    Omg! Im so happy for you! Seemed like an amzing experience! Yeah Tim is incredibly nice and cute, my favourite from the band so far, have a crush on him. Mika with sleepy hair and without shaving :wub2: makes me wanna be there! Cant wait for pics and vids :wink2:

    Except that this kind of thing will require someone else's involvement. I don't see Mika following fans of his own volition. And if he unfollows them the next week then it turns into something negative IMO.

     

    Mmh i hate the idea too, i seriously dont want Mika to see all my tweets if he does follow me! He will be so afraid.. I mean he doesnt even follow his band! :blink:

     

    Anyways it may be kinda fun if its used the right way but it does gives the feeling someone else is getting into his account, and thats not nice! Twitter is our only way of real communication with him apart from the little chances to get a m&g or talk to him after a gig :doh:

    This is all so sad :/ as Christine said nothing lasts forever but i was hoping that he will last at least 3 more years! I wouldnt actually care if he started doing really commercial stuff to ge in the USA and continue with his career. The problem arent his music or style, the problem is not many poeple know about him, he needs promo much more, in the USA and UK not just in europe. I guess i will just sit and wait with my fingers crossed hoping the album does well somehow and maybe he will decide to do something about the low sales. Him and his manager totally have to change their game :sneaky2:
