  1. Update from Helsinki Pride! (that I missed since I wasn't here:aah:)

Anyway, last year there were about 8000 people in the parade, this year it was 20000!!! And the weather was great, it was the only sunny and warm day in a long time (lately it's been freezing here and just raining all the time:sneaky2: and it's supposed to be summer!).

Also last week few Finnish politicians voted about a law about equal marriage. Sadly they voted against it. Even thought it's not all over, there's still a chance in the autumn, many people were really pissed (for a reason, I mean over 166000 people signed this petition about it and now less than ten politicians can just ruin the whole thing). So that also made people go to Pride to show that they cared. I just hope that our MPs who are deciding if we get the equal marriage or not are paying attention now and that we'll get the law soon!!!

  2. "Friendliness is so uncommon that it is mistaken for flirtation."

This is the quote of my life. A relevant example is tonight during a game of beer pong the person I was playing against was determined to 'set me up' with a friend of mine. I mean she was totally within my 'date' radar but she was in a 'ship. but this beer pong opponent was determined that we would be a perfect couple.

I mean.... friendliness shouldn't mean attraction. This is my biggest issue with pansexuality. Everyone assumes that I want to sleep with them because I am a genuinely nice person. If I help you move its not because I want in your pants, its because I know that moving sucks and someone helping is nice. Funk people confuse me.

:drinks_wine: Wish this wine was white :P

I wish the wine was white too :naughty:

I just heard about this blog or something, #queerhelsinki where people with queer attitude were asked to be photographed (where ever they were, shopping, having coffee...). First I was like whaaat, but it's actually an intresting project. No questions asked about your sexual orientation or anything, just beautiful photos of ordinary people. There aren't many photos yet but it could become really cool.

  3. Well, having listened to the recent ones, I think I like the Swedish song best.

I like the Slovenian and Romanian entries, but I don't think they are quite different enough to win.

I think Swedish song is a little boring althought it sounds better when you just listen and don't look (that's what I think anyway...) But I guess I'm a little biased because for Finns it's not the point that we win but that we are better than Swedes...:naughty:

    I'm starting to like Armenia:

And also what's up with the cakes this year??? Both Belarus and Latvia are singing about cakes:blink: So welcome Cakevision 2014!!!:thumb_yello:

  4. @Tuittu

I liked Mikko Pohjola with "Sängyn Reunalla" in UMK :original: But Softengine is probably the better choice for Copenhagen.

    *****

I was too much into Softengine so I kind of chose to not like anything else. To me "sängyn reunalla" was a bit too slow. But it reminds me of another Finnish singer called Pistepiste that I actually like:thumb_yello:.

I have no other favourites so far, Cheesecake song from Belarus was kinda scary:blink:

Good grief! Is it that time of year already? :naughty:

    YESYESYES!!! It's Eurovision time!!!

    :woot_jump:

  5. Here is Finland's entry, band's name is Softengine and I must say I really like the song (I listen to a lot of indie/alternative rock). We have this contest in Finland called UMK (Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu=the contest of new music) where we can vote for our favourite and then the winner goes to ESC. And I'm really glad that Softengine won (althought I don't know if the have any chance to success in Copenhagen). I like their style in general too (and the singer is very cute:naughty:)

  6. to be honest it took me years to figure out that was what my sexuality was... at first i always said bi, because it's somehow easier to explain. But there's the idea of only 2 genders in the term "bisexuality" and it didn't fit my beliefs, let's say.

And yes, even though i'm not "out" to my family, i know they would perfectly accept it. It's just that i don't feel the need to announce it.

You are so lucky to have such great parents! I would love that if no one should announce it or "come out" or whatever. I mean why should it matter who you like? I always a big deal... At least in Finland it's pretty much okay to be gay (we have gay ministers and athletes too) but when it comes to anything else most of finns are like  (what is this? should I be okay with it? how do I act around it? will other people think I'm too narrowminded if I say something?) It's all about labels. If you don't fit (=be straight or at least gay) you're pretty much a freak.

But hey, it takes time and we are going in the right direction. And it comes with talking about it. Like some time ago it was really rare to talk about being gay, but the more we talked about it the more we were okay about it. Now it's time for others to follow.

  7. I watched the episode few days ago and I think it was amazing, funny and exciting:naughty: I know that many people disagree with me but I really love the idea of johnlock (not to happen in real series!!! but in fanfiction) and I love that they give johnlock fans at least something. And as it comes to fan serving, yes I know there's plenty of that, but it's fine by me! (I know I live in my little fantasy world but I'm just glad that my wishes can come true sometimes) And luckily I watched it online because I really had to pause like every couple minutes to laugh or squee...

But the great thing is that it starts in Finland already in January 19th! Usually we are always at least six months late...

  8. I'm not a winter person but I mean come on... + 2 degrees in January in Finland and no snow at all! I don't like this, it feels like October or something:sneaky2: And without snow it's so dark and depressing. But at least one thing feels like winter, I haven't seen the sun for days!:aah:

  9. In 2014 I will:

    1. Get into University so I could become a vet (It's been my dream since I was like 4 or something. It's just so hard...)

    2. Go out more and make new friends

    3. Play more piano (I've been too lazy...)

    4. Be a better owner to my dog (I'm sorry Nyyti I've been busy lately, I know I should always have time for you, no matter what)

    5. Be myself, I'm tired to pretend to be someone else (And I really think I'm finally getting there but it's been a long way)

  10. You mean apart from the sad one that India recriminalized gay sex?

    That was just...:banghead:

And, yeah I now it's kinda old news what's going on in Russia, but since the Winter Olympics in Sochi are getting closer I'm waiting what will happen there. Do we get more rainbow nails (like in Moscow) or what? It will be interesting... At least US is sending some openly gay delegates as a "respectful message":wink2:

True, but as Macklemore says, is not just about changing laws, its about changing minds.

A piece of paper is a good place to start. :thumb_yello:

    I love that song!!!:wub2:

  11. We really did get strong winds in the end, lots of trees down, power cuts, roads blocked, no trains. And sadly several people were killed

Yeah I saw the news about the storm... It reach Finland too, but not nearly that bad (and I was asleep the whole time so...).

But now it's time to get ready for the winter, I'm already knitting some new scarfs and hats. Because even though it's still kind of warm (well in Finland's scale, so something above zero degrees celsius :aah:)winter may come any time now so better get ready in time:naughty:

  12. Välkommen!!! Welcome!!!

"Love Today" var den första Mika låten som jag hörde och det är fortfarande en av mina favoritlåtar!:thumb_yello: (jag är finsk så jag kan prata lite svenska)

Have a lot of fun here!:original:

  13. Passenger's album has been on my "to buy" list for a long time! I found him when I had this, well, kind of a game with my friend when we wrote some songs to each other's hands and then we had to listen what the other had written. My friend made me listen "Wrong Direction" by Passenger and I just fell in love with his voice:wub2:

  14. Few years ago I couldn't even say to my friends that I liked your music because it was too different... All I cared about was to be like others.

But you've always been just yourself so I decided that I'm not gonna live my life being someone else than just me. So thank you for being you and

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKA!!!
