Perpetuum Jazzile are a huge vocal group. They make cover songs in a capella.
The lace is often found framed as a picture. Or as a cover on tables too, but it comes at a high price tag. Anyway, it has a long tradition. There's even a lace-school in Idrija (a city in the northwestern part of Slovenia)
Here's one of his works I came across his paintings while searching for art inspired by modern music.
I must say you have a great taste in music too!

And these painting are by Ivana Kobilca and Ivan Grohar. Especially the second one by Grohar is well-known. It's found on one of the euro-coins.
My current obsession is the russian painter Wassily Kandinsky As you can see, I'm quite passionate about art What are your hobbies?

No problem, I'm pretty busy myself too! Love the song! I like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm94uIIdaKA, but mainly I listen to indie (
) and classic rock. Do you happen to be familiar with Perpetuum Jazzile?I adore those vivid colours! Thank you And the rugs are pretty cool, too. This is Idrija lace, it has a long tradition and nowadays they sometimes incorporate it in jewelery or clothes.

Of course, I'd love to see your favourite artworks! Every time I look for inspiration on Google, I get lost in the vastness of pictures.
By the way, do you listen to any other artist/band apart from Mika?

Prevelika izbira je! We are golden, Grace Kelly, Live your live... in vse ostalo - so najboljša družba zjutraj na poti v šolo.

My mother tongue is Slovenian, but in some parts (where the italian or hungarian minority live) the official languages are also italian and hungarian. At school i'm learning english & french, but i'm not practicing my german - so it's a bit rusty...
Like I said, I love the sound of the Persian, Arabic & Co languages. I've always thought that they're really difficult to learn. And also like middle eastern art & patterns.
Sorry to hear your plans got canceled. Mika's never been to Slovenia too and I'm to young to bo allowed to travel to a foreign country on my own. But I still have hope he comes here... Slovenia has the word love in it's name (and Ljubljana (capital) derives from ljubljena - meaning beloved), so he should defenitely release 'origin of love' here - it would be such a great pun. Silly me still has faith that he realises that someday...

Thanks in some dialects they pronounce the word ona (meaning 'she') as Ana, but otherwise it has no special meaning in Slovene although it's quite frequent ...but it means grace in Hebrew
In the middle of nowhere? Lonely. Jk. Can't complain, met quite a lot of Mika-fans from around here since I joined mfc. The weather's chilly in the mornings these days, but the sun shines later on, so it's very autumn-ish. There are quite a lot of forests here, so when the leaves start changing color it gets really pretty. Not to mention the sunrise & pink/violet sky in the morning when I take the bus to school...
I've got a thing about middle-eastern art and cultures - i'd really like to learn some of the languages one day. Have you ever seen Mika live?
-
Really? Anna is a Latin form of the Greek name Ἄννα, so that's the way I came up with it.
Btw, I really like your name. Did you know it means chemistry in Albanian?
I live in Slovenia - in the middle of nowhere. Where do you come from?
-
Hello! I'm Ana, Ava is just my nickname. Ana is quite frequent, so I just changed one letter to get a username that wasn't already taken.
May I ask what's your name?
-
Unfortunately, I haven't had the pleasure to see him live yet. I'm a youngling and the nearest gigs are at least a 3-4 hours drive away, so I can only enjoy festival live streams for the next few years. Unless he finally does a festival/gig on the sunny side of the Alps, since it's not that far away from Milano...
P.S. Sorry for the late reply. I've been camping for the past few days and there was no Wi-Fi.
-
I didn't know any either, but then I joined MFC.
Well, I ussually watch the last five minutes but when there's a football match, I always fall asleep during the first half.
-
Great to know that there are more Slovene Mika-fans than I've thought at first. (5 and counting)
I just remembered Slovenia and Greece played a match yesterday. Do you watch EuroBasket? Some days I'm so busy I kinda forget about it.
-
Really? Glad to hear you liked it here I've never been to Greece, but I've visited Cyprus, if it counts.
May I ask, where did you stay?
