    Mi inserisco "brutalmente" in questa discussione per venire a salutare anche qui: sono Giovanna, vivo a Padova, mi sono iscritta al forum da pochi giorni e sono certa che mi divertirò parecchio con voi!

    Among the candidates who joined Team Mika (Quentin, the cello player, Elodie the 18-year_old guitar player and Fabienne, the vocalist), I really like Elodie. Fabienne was great too and I wished she was asked to sing another song. She's definitely an 'exotic' choice as Mika put it. She could become a favourite.

    I was very surprised to see among the candidates former famous singers like Douchka. Her song choice startled me ('Ave Maria') because she stayed associated with Disney. She was one of the Disney singers like Britney Spears or Miley Cyrus and I used to love her when I was a young girl

     

    I liked Quentin's performance a lot, it was very original! I think he was the best choice among Mika's. I wanted also the Lebanese girl to be in his team but she chose Florent, they could have done so many experimentations with music, as they have some things in common

     

    There are many good candidates, but my favourites are still Marina and Leïla, both from the first show. :thumb_yello:

    ecco, sono d'accordo con voi, anche io trovo OOL una delle sue canzoni migliori ed è un peccato che il grande pubblico non la conosca, mi chiedo se non la facciano uscire come singolo perchè più "rischiosa", però è anche vero che in questo momento in Italia è adorato, se non rischiano adesso...

    o semplicemente preferiscono puntare su Popular perchè è più orecchiabile (e più commerciale) , adatta agli adolescenti ed ha un video carino :)

     

    ho paura che OOL sarebbe stata una scelta troppo azzardata, ormai si sa che fetta di pubblico si sia guadagnato con XF (non tutti eh!) e credo che Popular Song sia molto più adatta, OOL non l'avrebbero capita; il video poi è carino e c'è lui a differenza di OOL. :emot-sad: però mi piace comunque Popular song, credo farà un discreto successo :thumb_yello:

    I haven't heard any of his music being played on the radio since last summer, except for Celebrate at Rona :blush-anim-cl:

     

    last summer I went to Montreal and I heard both Elle me dit and Karen at a supermarket, you can imagine my reaction :yikes:

     

    I can't be worried about this project, it's too early and I'm so excited about everything he does which is related to his music and I'm only thinking about how to get it if it is released only in France (in my opinion it will be a kind of French Songobook) :wub2:

    I hope if he wants to release some more French songs he will just release an EP or a version of the Songbook as he did in Italy. Of course it just tells me that this English album is barely in its infancy (if it exists at all) and it still seems unlikely to me much will happen in the next few months if the priority is getting something to the French market before the Voice is done.

     

    yes, I think it will be the most likely thing even though this doesn't imply the fact that he can't release them in his future album as well, he's so unpredictable! :aah:

    Does it say the whole album will be in French? :blink:

     

    I wouldn't find it so upsetting as some of you does, maybe a whole album could be too much but I really like his French songs and as far as I'm concerned he can sing songs in whatever language because I like his voice and his music and I think also the lyrics would be as good as always (maybe it's because I'm used to listening to songs from all over the world so language is not a matter for me). I would like these new French songs to be in all editions of his new album (if they aren't already part of another project) :wub2:

    "We have received loads of letters asking about Mika's music and if he's working on a new record, plus we know a lot of you are talking about it and worrying that TV shows and other things mean he's not writing music. We wanted to put your mind at rest - we are happy to confirm that Mika is already working on his next album and will be spending time in the studio in the next few months. We'll keep you posted on the news but expect exciting things… "

     

    I'm glad they wrote this, maybe it was something obvious but I feel more relieved now, as they realized there was a bit of worry about it

    I can't wait for the "exciting things"!! :teehee:

    I've never watched that tv show before Mika went there even though I know it existed, but now I think I should watch it regularly! they really have great guests! :thumb_yello:
