Soooo, here is the big project I've been working on. A Mika doll! I also made him a huge wardrobe, including many replicas of his real outfits. I'll definitely share photos of them on here soon! Anyways, I posted these two photos on Instagram Saturday night (Jan 2nd), and on Sunday morning, MIKA LIKED THEM!!! I must admit that I bawled my eyes out for a good 20 minutes. Having the person who is your idol, inspiration, hero, and lifesaver notice your appreciation for them is a feeling I can't describe. Thank you Meek.

First of all, how to reach the venue: the easiest way is by car, motorway A4, exit "Padova Ovest".

If you arrive by plane (Venice and Treviso are the nearest airports) you have to come to Padova first, and then catch the bus, or a taxi, to Piazzola sul Brenta.

The bus to PSB leaves from the bus terminal integrated to the railway station, so the same instructions are valid also for people arriving by train and the trip is approx. 30 minute long.

(A note for French fans: you can easily reach Padova from Paris and Dijon by the night train “Thello”)

There are several ways to go from the airports to Padova, the cheapest one is by bus, but you can consider also the bus-shuttle Airservice.

The costs are:

VENICE-PADOVA

BUS: 8,50 (including one suitcase)

SHUTTLE "Airservice": 33,00 €

SHUTTLE "Landomas": 30,00 €

PADOVA-PIAZZOLA SUL BRENTA:

BUS: 3,70 €

VENICE-PIAZZOLA SUL BRENTA:

SHUTTLE "Airservice": 60,00 €

SHUTTLE "Landomas": 60,00 €

 

TREVISO-PADOVA

BUS: 6,00 (luggage NOT included)

SHUTTLE "Airservice": 40,00 €

BUS: € 3,70

TREVISO-PIAZZOLA SUL BRENTA:

The shuttle must be booked in advance (usually they ask also the flight code and arrival time), the fare becomes a little cheaper the more people you book and if you book at the same time the trip back to the airport and it will take you to your hotel directly.

Bus tickets are available at newspaper kiosks, tobacconists and on board (at a higher price, though)

 

 

I have sent and e-mail to the local taxi company in order to know if you can book a car in advance, because there's no way to go back to Padova by bus after the night.

They don't accept advanced bookings, and the fare is 50,00 € approximately from PSB to the railway station.

It was actually okay Like, everyone, like me, had only had like 5 hours of sleep, so we were all just walking around in a cloud, not making any sense

I understand what Fiona means by that it's "bad", just because it's not the traditional "good looking dance", but he gives it his all, and therefore it is so fun to watch! I wish everyone could just dance like that at parties  Sadly a lot of people care a bit too much about not looking like a fool 

Back too school again tomorrow... I'm looking forward to start dancing again though  Holidays have been fun though After all the chats we've had here  I feel like I have been getting to know you guys so much better!

Was a teency weency bit confused but I think what I learnt/my conclusion was that Sherlock has overcome his weakness (Moriarty) and so, going on to defeat him in season 4 ep 1 once and for all, he will be able to do it to the upmost of his ability with ZERO hold backs?! Yes I did, thank you, hope yours was great as well.  I stayed up until about 2am before I got tired and went to bed.  While I was awake, I had lots of food and watched the Scottish New Year celebrations on TV.  There were spectacular fireworks!

 

Something random: did you all listen to Mika on UK radio today?  I loved it so much, he has good music taste.  Even my dad listened to a little part of it, and he admitted it was alright (which is good coming from my dad).

That is seriously the best radio show I have ever heard! I love all the the songs and covers  Also, all the little stories were adorable

Went to bed around 2am to, I was so tired haha. Didn't do anything special, just watched the fireworks with my parents.

 

 

Offcourse I listened to Mika! I was 2 hours to early actually, I calculated the timedifference wrong. Me and my maths...

 

My dad actually suggested to listen it together, but he thought it would be a Mika concert! He actually looked a bit dissapointed when I told him it wouldn't be a concert! I thought he wasn't a Mikafan haha!

He did enjoy the show though, there where many songs he likes as well, same goes for me. I really like his taste in music!

 

He doesn't mind it when I want to watch/listen to something with Mika in it, so that's good.

I had a great time too! I went to a party with loads of great people and danced a lot  At the end of the day, me, my best friend and 2 other guys just lay down on the floor in the dark and had a very random and philosophical conversation haha, it was so nice

Haha, I love how we all talk about our dad's on here  I like my dad's music taste too, he has introduced me to several great artists! 

 

I have been out for dinner with a friend and then we went to hers and played Just Dance. We danced to Lollipop. And then we went to a party and danced until 3am!

My feet are kinda dead but well. 

That sounds like a perfect evening! I think yesterday was the most fun party I have danced on. Everyone just went crazy, not caring what it looked like 

The nearest beach is Sottomarina di Chioggia, about 70 km far from Piazzola sul Brenta. Honestly not the place where I spend my holidays, we usually go there only for day trips. You could go to Jesolo, if you like to hang out in nightclubs, or to Caorle (120 km) or Lignano (150 km), if you prefer quiet places. Probably the best place nearby if you have kids is Cavallino, close to Jesolo.

saskia and me got our tickets. i hope that this time i'll be able to combine the gig with a nice beach holiday, to make up for the fact that it didn't work out for me for cattolica this summer. apparently golden circle is already sold out meanwhile, does anyone know how many tickets they sold in this category? and as it's a festival, will there be several artists that day, or is it an one-artist-per-day festival?

 

i also understood the fb post that way, that it is just the last gig they announce in 2015... maybe team mika (or at least those of them who take care of gigs) will be on christmas holidays from tomorrow?

Do you know if the gig is close to the coast/is it easy to get to the beach from there?

Doesn't matter, it doesn't mean you're not a true Mika fan.  Mika's music videos are so amazing and unique, it's sad that they only have like 2 million views while songs by other artists have like 200m views.  He's so underrated.

I like Je Chante as well, I wish Mika would advertise in the UK as well.  And I love Grace Kelly too, that's the first Mika song I ever heard.  His hair was really wild back then.

On some member's profiles it says "Group: Members" and on others "Group: Full Members".  It doesn't matter if I can't change it, I was just wondering what the difference is.

I know...  but like we know, mika does not make music to be liked by "everyone", he's to advanced for that

Last Party is pure perfection.  But I want to cry every time I hear it, I don't know why.  The first time I watched the music video I was really close to tears.   I know he's just standing against a wall but it's the look in his eyes and the way he walks away at the end that get me going.

Staring at the Sun is gorgeous.  I love the part when he runs his hands through his wet hair after he comes out of the water.
