  1. And here is the talk before "Grace Kelly":

Two o'clock in the morning. No more lullaby, no more bad red wine, no more Mars bar and no more KitKat (There is Reblochon – shouts the voice of the audience  – Mika received Reblochon as a gift that evening). Just bad water. And rage. A terrible combination... in a white apartment, facing a white piano, white walls and an armchair that pisses me off, because it's all rotten and brown. It's two o´clock in the morning and I'm so angry. I hate everybody. Even myself. Especially myself. (The audience screams in disapproval).  It's normal, we've all been there several times. (Mika, we are here – the voice of the public). No little voice shouting my name… (Mika – the audience screams).. I told you I was angry, not mad. All around me, in this white room there is just frustration. But in my head there is color burning. I close my eyes and I say to myself – please, just for 3 minutes 27 seconds, can all these colors that I see in my head, behind my eyes, can I make them come out ? (Yes, yes – the audience shouts) I breathe, I sit at the piano.... and it comes out.

He said "neud papillon berce la gorge de la personne qui le porte". Bercer means to rock like you rock a baby in your arms.

Yes, I also understood "berce", but it didn't make sense to me. Then I thought "perce", but that would be even worse (percer=drill). I agree that the whole thing doesn't make much sense, but you probably shouldn't take it word for word, but as Anna says....

I saw in Romy04's video that the dialog is going on, but it's even crazier.

What is he saying here? https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4nPNKANWWW/?igsh=ZDFrZ3F6MnBlamky I understand that it's the first time on the tour that his bowtie doesn't work. And that every night he fears his wings might break. And later I think he compares his bowtie to curly hair and says that it has feelings? :teehee: Somehow I'm missing a few details, lol! 😅

    Translation:

Something very serious is happening. For the first time my bow tie doesn't work. Every evening I fear that my wings might break, because gradually I dance too much with them and every evening something falls out. When I put on the bow tie in the dressing room, I said to myself, this evening, I'm going to crack these wings.... And you see, the bow tie is a bit like curly hair. We think it's just a piece of fabric, actually it's an indicative thing. A bow tie has feelings. A bow tie is for life, not just for a wedding. The bow tie is not artificial intelligence, it is indeed intelligence. The bow tie (here I can't understand the verb he says) the throat of the one who wears it, in this case it's me, singer.

What other signs by peole did he read? I think the first one was "can I come on stage with you?" and he said maybe later (well, he just had brought a fan on stage a few minutes earlier), but I didn't understand the others.

Yes, you understood well, someone wanted to go on stage, but Mika said maybe later. The second poster was "can you write my tattoo" as CharlotteL said. There was another one, but it wasn't in French (at least I didn't understand) and the last one was too far away and he couldn't read it.

Can anyone please transcribe / translate what he says during Moi Andy et Paris (about his family) and at the end of EMD (about the posters)?

During the song Moi, Andy et Paris he said:

The philosophy of this song - I come from an American, Lebanese, Syrian family. I grew up in Beirut, in Paris, then in London. We were completely normal family. When we loved, we said “I love you”. When we were angry, we said “I hate you”. Except that when we said 'can you pass me some bread, we said it with the same ferocity as when we said I love you or I hate you. Which means that when I was a teenager, aged 12-13, with English friends, when they came to my house for dinner and saw my family, it was a shock for them. Because they thought that 95% of the time we were arguing. And for us it was a normal conversation. And all this to tell you that this song which talks about breakups, monsters and jealousy, is part of this philosophy of our family. We'd rather say, "You're annoying me" than not say it and walk away. Except I am convinced that Andy is probably drinking a beer in the bar with the doors closed behind you, because here I say “you annoy me” and you sing the song. This means that maybe we have a chance to last a little longer...

As for the posters, he says it's always been a tradition that people have posters at his concerts and often he can't tell what's on them. He reads some of them but they are quite far away and he cannot see them well. He says it's like a vision test.  And when people pull out the poster at the very back, he laughs because it is impossible to see there. He says that the posters destabilize him, disrupt his habits, and that's good for him.

Story by _sandylive_ ... maybe someone can transcribe / translate the details? He says something about everyone having dark days, but with music that he can bring to his audience he always feels better. :wub2:

    Yes, he said:

We all have times in life when we feel really, really bad. We don't know where the path is and everything seems black. And I thank the God, all the Gods, because every time I had a moment like that - there weren't too many, but when it happened it wasn't nothing - like everyone else, I'm sure. But each time there was music and the music miraculously carried me to you. And so it's never the apocalypse, because with you I dance and I get through it. Thank you Bordeaux.

    Hello

Could you say to me What mika said after that ?

Il a dit quand je faisais l'interview devant.....

Qu’est-ce que mika a raconté après ça ?

During the song Moi, Andy et Paris Mika said:
"When I started doing interviews about my last album in French, in an interview on RTL I also answered questions about this song. Obviously, the easiest answer is that it's a breakup song. And in interviews it goes very well and it's simple. But here, at home, in concerts, in front of you, I can be a little more real, and much more complex. This is a love song."

I have asked about this several times and have not gotten a definitive answer. I'm not sure what the actual problem is -- whether it's political, or it has to do with taxes and import fees, customs, or what. :dunno: The countries that are omitted seem so random.

In any case, the answer is "Who knows? Your guess is as good as mine." About the only thing I can suggest is that you ask someone in one of the countries that the French shop will ship to, to get something and ship it to you. Sadly, shipping costs are out of this world now, but unless you can be patient and hope that there's merch at the upcoming gigs, I don't know what else you can do. Sorry.

I wrote to the store in octobre, I received the following reply:

He's taking his current coaching duties very seriously if he's now extending it to the fans. :lmfao:

I think it's sweet, he knows not all of his fans speak French so it's his way of helping us. :wub2: And now we really have no excuse!

Well yes, he has to, because if the fans don't know the lyrics, who will help him when he forgets them at the concert?  :nervous:

Thank you! :flowers2:  I was looking all over Instagram and twitter right now but couldn't find it 😅

I think he says he hates Barbie but a full translation would be appreciated 😊

He says Barbie is a commercial creation that annoys him so much. Pink is a much more complicated color than Barbie. And of all these pink protagonists, the fiercest, with her poetic resistance, the most terrible, was the girl who wore pink in the gray world, who was called the Lolipop girl.

I don't know why it used this font type.

I don't know if it's about any existing song :lol3:

Maybe in the new song first we have "Hello my sweetie banana" and at the end "bye bye my sweetie banana" :lol3:

    @carafon  can hear:

    "ta peau sur mes lèvres,

    un cœur caramel,

    dans mes bras glacés???????????????????

Je t'écris mais je dois m'en aller.

    Bye bye, sweet banana,

Comme c'est bon, comme comme on se lasse pas.

Bye bye sweet banana, je connais ton adresse.

    Good bye, sweet banana, bye bye, sweet banana, b b s b, g b s banananana"

And I hope soon we will hear the clean version  of the song.

You can hear it better from @Gabry74 snipet in the thread  2023 Mika@Festival ODP Talence - 8 June, and to complete the texte I hear there this  :original: :

    "ta peau sur mes lèvres,

un cœur caramel dans mes bras glacés,

    pour ces tendres fesses

je t´aimais bien,  mais je dois m'en aller.

    Bye bye, sweet banana,

Comme c'est bon, comme comme on se lasse pas.

Bye bye sweet banana, je connais ton adresse.

    Good bye, sweet banana, bye bye, sweet banana, b b s b, g b s banananana"

why I'm not fully satisfied with the songs he released so far and the soundtrack album - actually that makes me feel ungrateful, he put a LOT of work into that, so I'm looking for an explanation why it's still not enough for me (us).

Try listening to it on the fastest setting instead. It'll cancel out the creepy version, and you'll be dreaming of chipmunks. :naughty:

    Edit:

I just tried the sloooow speed. You warned me. Definite nightmare fuel. :yikes:

    But double speed is hilarious:lol3:

Good idea, waiting for new songs from Mika we can listen to the old ones at different speeds and discover new feelings  from them. :naughty:

This might be the wrong place but I just want to vent\say s**t about life atm

So I've been living this area over a year now and still feel like I haven't made any life for myself I had a contract job but since that ended in July it's been impossible to find anything even tho I have a degree and experience, out of work I haven't made any friends and I just feel lonely esp seeing how many things my dad and Josie (his wife) seem to do yet there's hardly anything for my age. This probably doesn't help that in the new year I went to my mum's and saw all my friends so it just makes me realise how lonely my life is now .

I have found two activities one which I started this week and one next

I've started looking at live in Jobs as I can't find my area but after hearing back from one sorta I now feel stressed that I'll go though all this again and having to move immediately, I know that's what life is.

I know it's just my anxiety and overthinking everything but I kinda feel stupid now as I'm just starting to find things here but thinking of leaving

    Again sorry for my rant

I wish that the changes that you fear now will bring only positive things into your life and that after a few years you will be able to say to yourself "it was the best thing that could have happend to me ". I keep my fingers crossed for you.

    Hi all Mika fans,

I thought I should follow good manners and introduce myself :) My name is Veronika, I'm 37 and I'm from Czechia.
I've recently joined MFC so I'm quite a fresh member – but I'm an enthusiastic explorer of Mika's world! Let me thank you for creating and managing such an incredible space full of content ♡
I've been familiar with Mika's name, of course, but I have to admit I was aware just of his biggest hits.

Recently I did a deep dive into Mika's music and, oh dear, I'm obsessed!

Love all the songs, music videos, artwork, Mika's personality and talents, Melachi and Amira (yes, I'm a dog lover)... and I could continue :D

Hope to see Mika live this year and meet some of you in real life!

    Sending lots of love!

Hi Veronika, I'm from Slovakia, I've only been a member here since June and I'm still discovering Mike's world. MFC is an amazing forum and I can't imagine a single day without it.
