I've been told that we won't know how many tickets we're going to get, along with other details, until Monday, so you all need to practice some patience until then.
Ā
I do believe however that the seats will be good ones, i.e., up close. And of course the tickets are free.
Ā
Anna's idea of creating a list is a good one, though, so if you are planning to come to London on 10th November to see Mika at Southbank Centre AND YOU DON'T HAVE TICKETS YET, please send me a private message and I'll keep a list. If you already have your tickets, please don't add yourself to the list at this time -- since I don't know how many tickets we'll get, I want to try to provide for those who don't have them yet. Thanks.

Ā
ĀPatience! Hahahah š Patience is the last thing any of us have when it comes to matters such as these! š«

I was going to use instagram as I donāt use twitter but I thought the intention was that the hashtag was to be the same for both platformsĀ

Exactly, we @ him to make sure he sees it. We # it to get him trending, and so it's seen as one group action and not just some random stuff.Ā
Ā
Thank you for clarifying!! I thought that was how it worked lol but I canāt say I use instagram often (twitter not at all) so I was starting to second guess myself.Ā
I love the suggestion of #loveloveMika but I like #yoMika as well- 3

I vote for #loveMika ā¤ļøš

@TinyLove_CJ I love the peanuts movie!! I agree, I cannot count how many times I've seen that movie. Have you watched The Snoopy Show on Apple TV? adorable Ā I actually have a snoopy tattoo on my foot lol
I am a sucker for anything animated.
I haven't seen Frankenweenie yet. One of the few Tim Burton films I haven't seen but if it's anything like the rest of his films I'm sure it's a gotta be good! I love his animation style. It was very interesting to see how they made The Nightmare Before Christmas in The Movies that Us on Netflix.
One of my favorite Disney movies is Wall-E! Not only does the movie touch on important issues of the planet but I was impressed with the emotion they conveyed with the main characters having such little dialogue. Tugs on my heart strings every time!
Ā
@silver You mentioned the Avengers which I love as well! Any of the Marvel movies. Although I love the original Marvel characters and I am sad that we are coming to a time that we are starting to move away from those original characters. RIP Tony Stark

In that case:Ā Terry Pratchett's Discworld series of books.Ā I was always put off by the garish paperback covers, but read an interview where they quoted some passages from his books, including a description of the character Death.Ā Death is the archetypal skeletal figure with scythe,Ā a voice that goes right through you, with a magnificent white horse which he calls ..... Binky.Ā
Ā
So I started reading the series, and they turned out to be very funny, but with some very serious insights into human nature.Ā It has heroes, villains, witches. wizards, dragons, elves, trolls, dwarves - all the normal ingredients of fantasy novels, but not how you would expect them to be.Ā It starts as a sort of satire of fantasy novels, but develops into a coherent little universe of its own.Ā Hard to single out any particular title, but Pyramids can be read as a standalone volume.Ā The later novels - especially Thief of Time, and Night Watch - deal with some complex issues about time, morality, and death by chocolate.
Iāve never heard of this series before but it sounds very interesting! 41 books though, thatās intense! š Iāll have to put this on my TBR list but itāll take a long time to get through something like this.Ā
ĀI have to admit I do the one thing youāre always told not to and I definitely judge a book by its cover lol I do read the description as well but this is probably not something I wouldnāt have picked up based on what Iāve seen online. Youāre review makes it seem much more intriguing! Thank you for this introductionĀ

Thatās a good point! I just happened to stumble across the thread because of the recent post.Ā
ĀI donāt think Iāve been to the theatre since before the pandemic but it feels like Iāve watched almost everything on Netflix latelyĀ

I finally got the chance to see this movie last night! I thought it was really sweet and I appreciated that it touched on topics that arenāt spoken about often enough these days. Of course I was disappointed about how short the use of the āwhoās gonna love me nowā song was! I would definitely recommend this movie šæĀ
@TinyLove_CJĀ your review was so insightful!Ā
I love the idea of this thread and Iām shocked to see how underused it is!Ā- 1

Helllo All! My name is Brittany and Iām from Hamilton Ontario.
Iāve been a Mika fan for a long time but surprisingly it took me a long time to stumble upon this lovely group!ĀĀ
I still remember the exact moment I heard my first Mika song. I was sitting in a chapters book store when LollipopĀ šĀ came on. I was instantly hooked, I went home and listened to the whole album. Mikaās music has been a part of my life ever since!Ā
Itās so nice to see an artist who is not only a great musician but a truly great person. Iāve always listened to his music and known a little about him but Iām learning more and more about Mika on a personal level recently and what genuinely beautiful soul he has. Itās wonderful to read and see everyone talk about it hereĀ š
Ā
I love to listen to music doing almost anything, singing in the shower (of course), walking to work, doing chores around the house... etc but my favourite time to listen to music is when Iām running! Of course my running playlist is full of Mika songs! Itās just the perfect upbeat music to keep you moving when you need it most!!Ā
Most recently my Mika playlist was put to a different use and greatly helped me get through the long recovery from a very difficult surgeryĀ š¤
The most disappointing part was not being able to attend the Toronto live showĀ šĀ which was clearly incredible!! (please come back next year Mika!š¤)Ā but thanks to all of your photos and videos I can almost pretend I was there lol so thanks to everyone for their posts!!!Ā š
Ā
I havenāt been on this site long but what little interactions Iāve had, everyone has been incredibly welcoming and friendly and just absolutely wonderful!!Ā
Hello and thank you to everyone on MFC!!!Ā š„°
