I do the same thing. Some of my friends love it, the other ones hate me for it. I just tell them that if they don't like it, then they can ignore it. I got "your too old for this fan girling business" and "Mika is too old to be dancing in his underpants" (ala our dear WAG vid) XD my family has their quirks. They know enough now to leave well enough alone but they still get me from time to to time. I'm sure I was extra annoying tonight because I needed to tape the letterman thing.
