Who is the Lonely Alcoholic?

Thanks a lot Marina for finding this very interesting interview:flowers2:

Based on Mika words, he had a prototype in the real life (the old mean man from the local pub) whom he used to meet often. But this is just a starting-point for his lyrics.

Actually, there are three separate characters: LA, Single mother and a narrator which all have the same destiny. Namely, they all crave to be heard, accepted and loved by other people.:boxed:

Even though he wrote three different stories they cross together in the chorus which is the climax of this deeply moving song. The autobiographical elements are in the background and not visible, but as Mika said in the Brasilian interview it had probably a lot to do with his personal life expereince.:wink2:

Love to read your posts, Bojana :blush-anim-cl:

That's a great interview. It's really interesting hearing Mika talk about his 2nd album, in hindsight, now that we all know the songs on it.

It's good to hear the story behind Lonely Alcoholic.

Thanks,Mari!

Soo,the man is lonely, cause he drinks. And he drinks because he's lonely?

And this man,is just a person from a local pub in London, and Mika dosen't know him personally, right?

Okay,I think I understand it now.Thank you!
