I was a bit confused the first time too and I guess I'm still unsure whether the girl was crazy or if it was meant to be that everything was really happening. But I love it! But I love it! I think that its just her imagination. She reads all those fairy tales and believes them and then her mind takes her on like a trip. But that's just what I thought. This is from the IMDB website(I'm not good at giving descriptions): In 1944 fascist Spain, a girl, fascinated with fairy-tales, is sent along with her pregnant mother to live with her new stepfather, a ruthless captain of the Spanish army. During the night, she meets a fairy who takes her to an old faun in the center of the labyrinth. He tells her she's a princess, but must prove her royalty by surviving three gruesome tasks. It all looked like it was supposed to be heaven or hell. But which one? What was he the king of? I REALLY need to watch it again! I've been wanting to for so long but I've never gotten around to it.
