JoeHadlum
I think the most amazing thing about Mika's music is that every song has a slightly different meaning to each listener and that's why even the happy sounding songs that have happy lyrics can trigger sadness in some and why the happy sounding songs with sad lyrics make others smile. His music is so autobiographical, when you're putting yourself out in the open like that there's always a risk: not everyone likes it. But Mika carried on despite criticism, especially on 'The Boy Who Knew Too Much' if he hadn't of carried on, I don't think many of us would have learned as much about ourselves as we have. Each song gives a little bit of him away, like taking a chunk of your soul and giving a little piece to everyone. There are few singers I'd describe like this and one who most people think of is Amy Winehouse. Just thought you'd all like my little view
chickadee
Well, can't comment on Amy Winehouse as I don't know any of her music (even though I know who she was), but I agree with the fact that everyone interprets Mika differently. I was just saying something similar on a different thread
