    Manny , Im not with ya on this one , I dont think he would get annoyed , the interviews Ive seen he takes it as a huge compliment!!!! , its not just the voice , its the actions and style as well , as this post says he isnt and shouldnt be Freddie but he very very much like him ........ as he says in the Grace Kelly song!

    Well I can tell from his body language when he is asked that question. And since he is asked that question over and over and over and over again, the "compliment novelty" of it appears to have gotten old with him on this one. He appears to answer all other questions really well though I really wish he would be asked other questions, I've actually stopped reading his articles cause it's always the same questions, same answers..... I'll wait til his gig reviews to beging reading them so we can get "fresh MIKA q&a's".

    Two very special free MIKA acoustic gigs

    I've been to free gigs at HMV Oxford Street, if you really want a good chance to see him (cause they only give out like 75 wristbands), go when they open at 9AM on the day of the gig, you can get the wristbands from the main registers (tills?, I can never remember the term) and buy the cd you are to have autographed in the morning, cause once I didn't do that and it was HELL getting the cd as there was a MASSIVE queue to see the artist that I was seeing.

    Ticket touts. Unbelievable!

    If your only option is getting a ticket through a tout. I would say wait til the gig starts, and then you can probably get it for 8 quid. Yes, you will miss the first song, but it probably won't be the last time you ever see him right? I know peeps that are going to like 5 MIKA gigs on his UK tour.....

    Doubt it will ever happen, can you tell how annoyed he is starting to get from the constant comparisons to him on the video interviews he does? He does sound like Freddie, but really only on Grace Kelly. On Love Today he sounds like Prince and other artists imho.

    Howdy guys.

     

    I live in Austin and I first saw Mika's video late at night on MTV. Then my favorite gossip column, perezhilton.com, was gushing about him. So, upon further inspection I am totally in love with this guy's music.:wub2:

     

    I'm a HUGE fan of Queen, Elton John, Rufus Wainwright and George Michael.

     

    I hope Mika can make it out to the States for a more extensive tour. Perhaps he could stop by SXSW, our annual uber-huge indie music festival.

     

    I can only dream.

    Without doubt he will make it to SXSW, Goldfrapp made it there, even though they never toured (and were supposed to). But we never saw a Goldfrapp video on MTV America!

    Love Today: Next Single from Life In Cartoon Motion

    I was telling a DJ about Love Today being a fab song to dance to last night at a function, and generally clueing him up about Mika.

     

    He did manage to dig out a Grace Kelly to play it. Quite made my night.

     

    Also at same function, I requested 'Hips Don't Lie' by Shakira, as curious to hear the original, after Mika's marvellous version on radio 2 last week. Right... his was defo better than the original and I think he should release 'Hips'.

     

    Petition anyone???
